What I've primarily noticed about the deck is that it really wants to be a combo deck, especially game 1. Your control cards (with the exception of sphere of safety) have a time limit on them, and most combo/control decks will go over the top unless you have a good early finisher. Jeskai Ascendancy is the best fit for that so far.
Game 2 and later, we're set up much better to play a control/midrange battle, or to flat out combo, depending on the matchup. We swap around blood moon and sphere depending on the matchup, bring in hate cards like leyline of sanctity, stony silence, and blind obedience. Some matchups, like burn, we play control. Others, like ad nauseum, we bring in hate, then try to race.
I liked the deck. Also, you have 16 cards in your sideboard. Can you really "run" through the deck with the ascendancy enough times to get the creatures big for a combo kill? Is it worth the Red and Blue splash for it and some sideboard cards?
-- I do consistently combo off. The splash is negligible (2 blue lands and 4 red lands), and the red lets us play strong cards like chained to the rocks, blood moon, and pyroclasm.
All of your 1 mana enchantments are free with 1 ascendancy and a creature+karametra's favor, and I often end the game with under 10 cards in library and over 20 power on creatures.
I'm trying to fit a Gifts package (4Gifts Ungiven/Unburial Rites/Iona, Shield of Emeria) into this shell, like the sideboard package that the old Jeskai Ascendancy decks ran at Worlds. Maybe sideboard maybe main deck. Thoughts?
Will someone please tell me why Myth Realized isn't one of the most powerful cards in this forthcoming set, not even considering its outrageous utility for an enchantress deck? I can see it somehow seeing the light of day in legacy enchantress...I myself have pre-ordered a playset! I will take the risk in them going down in value because I see them going up!
And you made an account just to say that? Have more faith in your "investments", dude...
Would this be the right thread to discuss an all white enchantment deck that DOESN'T use Mesa Enchantress? I run a creatureless version because I think Enchantress herself is just too flimsy to be relied upon at 3cc. My thought is that she is going to catch any creature removal because shes the only target for such and thus a waste of an opportunity to make a bunch of your opponent's cards dead.
Greater Auramancy protects Myth Realized, but it does nothing for enchantress.

it has no Evasion such as Hexproof or anything like that. (Enchantress if it has like Privileged position)

As a person who typically plays very creature oriented decks, I HATE when an opponent has Devouring Light. It is infuriating to finally get through with a creature on to have it exiled.
I've come to hate White in general now because it gets everything to the point where it is almost unfair. White has boardwipes (Wrath of God, End Hostilities), targeted exile and removal (Devouring Light, Banishing Light, Last Breath), lifegain spells, lifelink, low cost/high power enchantments and auras, flying creatures; my goodness what don't they get!?
I think the route we need to be looking at is a creature free type of list. Enchantress engine is probably never going to work. Best to focus on protecting ourselves behind artifacts and enchantments, then protecting those enchantments.
How many "enchantress" engines is everyone using? I only use 4 blossoms and she is great because both mark of asylum and greater auramancy protect her.
Privileged Position is good, but in a fast-paced Modern meta, I think it's slow at 5 mana (see Sigil of the Empty Throne).
I think Myth Realized is ok, but not great in the current Modern meta. The avatar creature it creates has no abilities, so it can be chump blocked all day by a token creature, even if Greater Auramancy protects it from targeted removal.
As for card searching, it'll probably be a combination of Kruphix's Insight (card digging) and Idyllic Tutor (card tutor).
I only choose Eidolon over Verduran and Mesa Enchantresses, because it replaces itself when cast, even though it costs 1 more mana than the other two. I'm of the opinion that if Wizards ever reprints Enchantress's Presence in Modern, Modern Enchantress decks will get a big competitive boost.
Neither does goyf. You can still slot it in there and do damage? It could easily become a 10/10 with a rancor and then you're having a whale of a time. In fact I could well imagine some sort of control deck using it as a win con. Perhaps that's where it belongs, or in some other deck. But I can't ignore the fact that it has wonderful synergy with rancor and auramancy, it helps the drawing engine and at the very worst it keeps your opponent from tapping all their mana to do nasty things because they are preparing to kill it. Still not persuaded?
^the above was in response to Blitzkrieg. Quoting didn't work or I didn't use it properly.
I did quote the Goyf part on another thread (a Prison Version) Seeing the relation makes me go "OH BUY THEM NOW!" lol but I don't think they will ever be 200+ for them so lol.

The problem with Eidolon is its color and casting cost. At 4cc you need to be stabilized and Eidolon does nothing to help you achieve this. I really don't think we need a dedicated card engine in this deck, especially if its on the back of flimsy over priced critters like Mesa Ench and Eidolon. Idyllic Tutor should be run as a 4x and that should be enough to get the right cards in our hands at the right times.

I believe the archetype (flavor?) of Enchantress decks is to have an enchantment-relevant draw engine. Legacy Enchantress works this way. If Modern Enchantress didn't have this dedicated draw engine, it probably would not be called an Enchantress deck anymore.

Ok but who cares if we call it Enchantress.dek or Enchantments.dek?
Ok but who cares if we call it Enchantress.dek or Enchantments.dek?
The archetype of Enchantress decks feature an Enchantress-style draw engine (Argothian Enchantress being the original namesake of the Legacy Enchantress deck). Historically, that is how the deck got its name. Every Enchantress deck list that I've seen has that Enchantress-style draw engine.
Anybody can make an enchantment-heavy deck without the draw engine, but it would probably become its own discussion thread after some time. An enchantment heavy deck is not an Enchantress deck if it lacks that lynchpin card. The naming of the Enchantress deck is similar to Tron and Twin decks. Those decks must have the named lynchpin cards to be named that way.

No, seriously, can we stop splitting hairs over this? We can try to make enchantress decks without the enchantress engine, because even you agree that that engine is too fragile in Modern. It's still the same deck which depends on density of enchantments to win...

I was only stating why the deck got its name and why there might be confusion with any other decks that are enchantment heavy. If players here want to brew the deck without the lynchpin card, I am not going to obstruct you guys further. Carry on.
What are people's thoughts on the viability in modern of sylvan caryatid if you are looking to put down a few auras? Sylvan caryatid vs BoP is what I am considering.
Do you want to put the auras on Sylvan Caryatid or as a mana accelerator in general? Doesn't the Bogles deck do the job?

Can you give me a link to a good Boggles deck in Modern? I would like to be able to do either of those options. Having extra mana which will stick is nice, being able to block a 2/2 is nice and having something I can enchant is good :). 2 mana cost is a bit awk though for sure. There must be more suitable 2 drops.
First, I spelled "bogles" wrong. I am sorry for the misspelling, in case you were trying to find the deck on this site.
By the way, Sylvan Caryatid has defender, so it can't be used to attack unless you have an aura that removes defender. The bogle deck relies on playing a ton of auras on a small bunch of hexproof creatures, so this deck may be to your liking.
Ah I see what you mean. I am still interested in the card drawing system to want to go down the route of Bogles. But having creatures in an enchantress deck - is this a thing of the past?
The Bogles deck does have a card drawing engine called Kor Spiritdancer. It functions exactly like an Enchantress, except it works for auras only.
I'm not knowledgeable about the Modern metagame, but from the decklists I've seen, most Enchantress decks do not have many creatures, because the deck is designed to be either a combo deck or a prison-control deck. You have your Enchantress creature cards, and maybe one finisher like Emrakul, the Aeons Torn. Any other creatures you need would be token generator enchantments or a transformer like Myth Realized.
Anyone think Greater Auramancy will see a reprint in Modern Masters 2015? I want to pick up a couple for my Enchantress deck, but $13 is steep for a card that might come down to $5 in a month.

I would probably just wait for MM2 to be released before you decide whether to buy Greater Auramancy. It's been hovering at $10-$13 for a year, according to www.mtgstocks.com, so an extra month or two should not hurt. If it's not in the set, the card is probably not going to shoot up in price immediately, giving you time to make a buying decision.
New here, been running an enchantress deck for a while now. It's super fun but I was wondering if anyone had any suggestions - it seems some matchups it works really well but anything with mega removal it just dies to. It also seems to be really hard to recover from a ton of removal. Here's the list:

When you say, "mega removal," are you referring to creature removal? You only have 8 creatures (one of which is a God).
Modern Enchantress isn't Legacy Enchantress, so some matchups just are difficult to win. My only real suggestion is to change Ivory Mask to Leyline of Sanctity, but that is very expensive right now.

I agree - in a format with stronk removal, I don't think we should be playing fragile enchantresses with no inbuilt protection (Mesa Enchantress, Kor Spiritdancer, Eidolon of Blossoms). I know Greater Auramancy is powerful, but I don't know if we can rely on a single card with discard so prevalent. I think we should be looking at other ways to squeeze value out of our enchantments. Kruphix's Insight? Sigil of the Empty Throne? Cloudstone Curio and cantrip enchants?
I would like to see what you've come up with (:

I'm currently using Greater Auramancy and Eidolon of Blossoms only for causal play. Mark of Asylum takes up valuable card slots for my deck, because I don't have a lot of creatures. The deck's win condition is the very mana expensive (and slow) Sigil of the Empty Throne using a single Cage of Hands or Forced Worship as the token generation engine.
Privileged Position is good, but in a fast-paced Modern meta, I think it's slow at 5 mana (see Sigil of the Empty Throne).

4 idylic tutor is not enough of an engine...especially on a 3 drop.
You need more than that. Sure you can tutor once, but after that you are still stuck drawing one card a turn which is bad.
