I think a non-aura Enchantress deck isn't quite viable yet, since I think a typical Legacy version had 8 inexpensive-to-cast draw effect cards (4 Argothian Enchantress and 4 Enchantress's Presence).
Basically search for auras every turn when you drop Tallow and Glitter engine, control with the auras and get Eidolon of Countless Battles, mirrorweave him, and suddenly it doubles up on every enchantment with every creature in play. It's surprisingly quick to get Yavimaya and Eidolon's out of bolt range and bigger than a Goyf and with a greater auramancy they're protected from Abrupt decay. I also might replace Yamaviya with Aura Gnarlid. But then that won't make it an Enchantress deck.
This is the deck I've been running as of late. I'm sure it's not too competitive but it's been a blast to play. It is more akin to legacy enchantress than the aura builds posted here.
Pretty sweet list. Curve seems kind of rough. I might trim some 3 drops for 4x Arbor Elf or Porphyry Nodes, to start. Also needs Horizon Canopy and Stirring Wildwood (you can leave out Canopy if budget is a concern, of course). Swap 2x Verduran Enchantress for 2x Mesa Enchantress to be easier on your mana base.
Sorry guys, I've been gone a long time, but hopefully I can do some testing with the major changes this list is undergoing and get an updated primer up after finals.
how are you guys protecting the draw engines?
i didn't keep experimenting with the deck due to how they have no protection.
only enchantress I've seen with any success was "Enchantress-less enchantress", which may have been one of Woo's decks as well. can't remember off hand.

Ever since I saw Sage's Reverie spoiled, I have been looking for a good home. I've already stopped by the bogles thread, but I did not know they only play 18 lands.... Could this be the Reverie's home?
Also Lightform doesn't look like it would be terrible here.
So whats the news? Does anyone have an updated list, i am looking to make a new deck and i have enchantress like cards from RW Lockdown. I'm torn between this and elves, and creature decks ain't so hot at the moment with all the burn out there.

This is what I've been theory crafting since Sage's Reverie was spoiled. Looks like fun, but I'm not sure how it'll actually play out. Hero of Iroas could be replaced by several different cards, it was originally Auratog.

why Sinister Possession? Your opponent will just chump block your massive creature with first strike with the creature you put it on against
I was just looking for decent black enchant creature that would stick around. I'm not all that interested in attacking until I can do so with lethal. Sinister Possession was the reason I was thinking about running Auratog.
Banewasp Affliction, Phyresis, and Skeletal Grimace don't look terrible, but they up the curve just slightly. There are probably good cards further up, but I don't want to take too much from Bob.
I just feel like a deck like this needs to go off. Drawing cards and being able to continuously pay for them. I think additional mana and using lands as resources make sense. Also always have really wanted to make a Genju of the Spires/Terra Eternal deck, but I think its just too slow for Modern.
This is the decklist I've been working on for about a year now. It started out as prison control, but it's gotten a lot of help when I decided to include the Jeskai Ascendancy combo finish. Thoughts?
What I've primarily noticed about the deck is that it really wants to be a combo deck, especially game 1. Your control cards (with the exception of sphere of safety) have a time limit on them, and most combo/control decks will go over the top unless you have a good early finisher. Jeskai Ascendancy is the best fit for that so far.
Game 2 and later, we're set up much better to play a control/midrange battle, or to flat out combo, depending on the matchup. We swap around blood moon and sphere depending on the matchup, bring in hate cards like leyline of sanctity, stony silence, and blind obedience. Some matchups, like burn, we play control. Others, like ad nauseum, we bring in hate, then try to race.
I've had it in and out over time as a 1 of. It's very good at keeping then engine moving, but since it doesn't do much on it's own I've left it out right now.
Myth Realized seems awwwweeesommme for this deck next to Man lands as win cons if you are prison-ing

Kekule_the_Magician on the inclusion of Devouring Light in a TurboFog Deck:
Quote from Kekule_the_Magician »
As a person who typically plays very creature oriented decks, I HATE when an opponent has Devouring Light. It is infuriating to finally get through with a creature on to have it exiled.
I've come to hate White in general now because it gets everything to the point where it is almost unfair. White has boardwipes (Wrath of God, End Hostilities), targeted exile and removal (Devouring Light, Banishing Light, Last Breath), lifegain spells, lifelink, low cost/high power enchantments and auras, flying creatures; my goodness what don't they get!?
I'm still testing out the deck and hope to have it ready this weekend. One thing that concerns me is the Tron matchup, has anyone had this matchup and how did it go?
You can only tremble in front of Tron. I already did some matches against Blue Tron, and although Karn was slowed because of Greater Auramancy, Ugin just got into play and -X the entire board. Even worse is that Ugin can -5, wipe our board and still survive with no problem to keep some pressure on us.
For my deck at least, combo is the worst matchup. You can try and hate storm with Rule of Law, but I really don't know how to stop Scapeshift or Tron in time. Maybe some Ghost Quarter or Tectonic Edge, but only if our mana base allows it
Maybe I'm slow, but how do you get the mana to keep fuelling Ascendancy?
I'm quite interested in Enchantress, but I think Modern loses a lot by not having an easily protected enchantress such as Argothian Enchantress. Won't your Eidolon of Blossoms die a lot?
Verduran Enchantress dies way too quickly to burn cards in my games, so I never can stabilize the "draw engine."
Eidolon of Blossoms feels too slow, but it does replace itself when cast. I was able to get it to stick when combined with Greater Auramancy.

There really arent many bolts running around except burn and twin. Abzan has to path it which is a fine 2 for 1.
Burn and Twin are 19% of the meta.
Well eidolon is pretty bad in those matchups anyways. She is much better in the abzan matchups.
