This may have been discussed already (sorry my last comment was on page 2. Not reading 17 other pages to check but) Has anyone attempted to make this into a cascade deck? I'm thinking about running it similar to Restore Balance but instead of playing balance playing boom//burst. Every cascade you play will act as an Armageddon. Back breaking. You then play some darksteel citadels and some fetch lands in combination of basics and borderposts.
Ideally you play a turn one basic and bounce it for the borderpost . Then next turn play a citadel and either cast boom or remove an SSG to cascade into a burst. Depending on if you went first or not. If you draw a boom//burst you can either target you indestructible land or target a fetch and then sac it to find a basic. Costs you nothing to ld them.
This strategy also helps with playing blood moon. Since you have to run basics and boarderposts you are basically uneffected by it.
This plan puts you in 3 colors. GRB. So you have access to Beast Within, the 2/2 for 3 that blows up a non basic, anger of the gods because red is the core color, deck looks like it could be something.
We've talked about the R/W decks that run Boom//Bust, Goblin Dark-Dwellers, Flagstones, etc., but we haven't considered the cascade option. At first glance it doesn't look like it would be better than the existing option, i.e.: cascading into Balance/Living End will pretty much always be better than cascading into 'Geddon because that's how those decks deal with things like Bogles, so you should just play the Balance/Living End deck if you want to cascade. That said, it looks like a really neat idea. If you put it together and run it please let us know how it goes.

Some people like to win MtG matches in the Red Zone. I prefer to win the way God intended: on the stack.
i've been playing the deck, initially budget version, now full ponza closely following Matt Mendoza's lists. When someone in my play group switched to scapeshift I noticed how suspect the deck was to disruption by destroying the ramp effect with bolts to birds or elves. I started messing around with a variation using faithless looting to help with filtering but have not seen any other lists with looting. I arrived at looting after the toronto tourney winner using the Garruk's and Harmonize. The problem was if you get a mana dork bolted you have to wait around until you could cast a harmonize or minus a garruk if you had a threat to draw out of your poor board state. With looting being a single red you can draw into what you need, but it really helps if you go this route to bring down your curve so you can pitch lands in the event you want to keep all that you draw.
I've been toying with different variations of RG Ponza lately. I'm +1 on supporting the Madcap Experiment, btw, as it's an auto-win card against dredge and burn if resolved game 1.
One question I've had is, why not go all snow-covered basics and run Skred instead of bolt? Being able to kill a goyf or tasigur in the late game seems important. I know blood moon shuts down fetching, but Acid-Moss still gets them and you should have a decent number to push Skred into useful range. To that end, one scrying sheets could be fine as well.
I've also wanted to try Faithless Looting and push the curve down slightly. Chameleon Collosus is just the nuts vs. Jund, I love the maindeck inclusion. Going to try that.

While you have good points about just play the existing decks I would think that the cascade into geddon idea has perks the others don't. For one a hand with two balances is pretty close to a mull where a hand with two booms is an advantage. I'd keep that hand so hard.
Likewise living end can be hated on so easily. Especially with dredge hate running around.
Both decks can be fought with a little counter magic. a timely remand or spell pierce can ruin those plans. this isn't exactly crippled by one or two counters.
Another Plus is Blood moon. You have to run basics and playing red so blood moon can just randomly win games.
Lastly is get to add in boarderposts which function like cipt duels. So you are likely playing black and green for good SB options. Between black for Leyline of no dredge and green gives you grudge plus other options it can make a solid 75 probably.
Right now my collection is in shambles... Minus a few decks so right now I'm more or less theory crafting. If anyone else can see the advantages of playing LD with 8 geddons then hopefully someone can help with this. I'll look and make a base deck in the next few days and if it gets attention then that's cool. Just trying to help.

Well, you should know that the most recent versions of the Cascade Balance deck run Blood Moons, so that's nothing new. Check out Ari Lax's deck from GP DFW.
The problem I have with the Cascade-into-geddon concept is that you have to pair it with a threat. The Balance decks abuse the Balance by suspending Gargadon and sacrificing all their lands to the Gargadon with Balance on the stack. This turns Balance into Wrath/Geddon which is obviously better than Geddon. At the very least this gives you inevitability as sooner or later a Gargadon is going to demand interaction or it win the game. If you have the ability to play a threat then Geddon you might be okay, but in general I think I prefer the Balance because it does both. Still, you should 100% work on it. If it rocks then I definitely want to hear about it.

I've no idea how this deck did so well in the GP because it seemed really bad in these videos.
The "Madcap package" just dillutes the little threats this decks has even more and seems really bad, as well as Bonfire which is literally useless.
Through the mist of the standard showdown we had 4 rounds of modern today. Tooth and tool box got me second at 3-1. Y only loss was to that damned ole Jeskai ascendency crap.. deck is broken IMO once opponent sees what I'm on
yeah, list please. I think there is a split right now with those who are and are not in the madcap camp. If I can ask for your cards that are unique to your deck just a bit of an explanation that would help everyone.
It a great, another body, it's ultimate ain't bad and it kills a kalitas lol. Been enjoying this list, if I draw tooth and nail I win quicker, if I draw moon I lock down, if I draw fatties I plow under... I like it. I wish green had a tutor like diabolics. Be so busted
Played last night, I won with soul sisters. Salt was real at my lgs and decided to put the deck up... played about 6 games before hand with tooth and toolbox, won 4x. 3 of the games were TN combo off and other was lock down and getting jund player to discard into baloth
so i haven't seen any lists running chandra, torch of defiance. is there something i am missing? she seems right on curve, all her abilities are relevant, and she can power out a turn 4 titan. turn thee if you have the nuts.
I think most everyone who was running a Pyromaster has swapped it out for Torch of Defiance. I think the benefit of it isnt so much the ramp as the +1 card advantage vs pyromaster 0 card advantage ability which actually allows you to ultimate off the ability since that is what is most being used.

yeah her other plus is very good, i just mentioned the ramp because while it might be the least used it is still relevant and she can also kill a creature, which makes a turn 2 beast within into a turn 3 chandra a great play, even if you don't have stone rain. i also think the addition of trinisphere is a definite step in the right direction. it absolutely crushes so many decks.
I telling you, I can atest to extensive testing, 1 bonfire in main is a game winner. Ive won and weseled my way into so many top 8s and quite a few 1st places lately. Now 3-4 is to many but 1 is sweeeeet

I also play with as many white borders as possible to really rub it in. IF you are going to be the villain don't half ass it

Not much too say, it looks pretty much stock. Ruric has worked well for me too, I run it main instead though
