I think it's just too cute. You have to survive long enough AND draw Braid of Fire + Leyline + Emrakul + no interaction from your opponent. In that case I would just play the Goryo Breach "Reanimator" deck.
Delve cards seem really bad. I'm gifting for 3x Eldrazi and shuffling my graveyard into my library far too often, there's nothing to delve for. What do you think about Mindswipe instead of Condescend?
I'm still up in the air about mindswipe over condescend, for starters you would have to have two colors out and I would try and not have much if any multicolour lands, also condescend has Scry 2 which can be useful for getting the cards you want next turn.
The other thing to consider, is throwing cards into the graveyard all willy nilly makes them suspectable to Surgical extraction or Slaughter games if they are stupid enough to run it main deck.
If for example, we throw a gifts ungiven or something just as big because we need to discard and we choose to keep say a through the breach, we have the potential to lose our main advantage. Sure it's not the be all and end all, but it can backfire and blow up in your face.
Scapeshift is a tricky match. Still trying to figure it out, Teferi is pretty brutal but I don't think siding in Combust is correct - I could be wrong.
My loss to Rhino Pod came down to game 3 where I assembled Tron and used it to play Wurmcoil Engine to stabilize in the face of dorks and Restoration Angel with Pod online. My mistake here was not using the Tron mana to Gifts for Pyroclasm, Anger of the Gods, Firespout, and Emrakul, the Aeons Torn. I had Through the Breach in my hand and enough mana to cast it or a sweeper the same turn and he was dead to Emrakul so he would not have been able to give me that. I could have followed it up with a hard cast Wurmcoil Engine or thrown out with Through the Breach when he was left with a Restoration Angel and a Birthing Pod to try and climb back out of it. I ended up just playing Wurmcoil and Gifting the following turn for a fatty package + another Gifts that ultimately let him combo off on me.
You live and learn I suppose.
I feel like the deck is actually fairly well positioned but that might just be me. If I had to update my list it would be as follows:

How was Blast of Genius? I remember liking it in UR Tron because it's a demi-Breach that moonlights as a draw spell (so it does something even if you don't have a creature in hand), although it's more situational as an opponent-killer. What Gifts piles does it enable?

Blast of Genius was fine. I had to use it to kill a Noble Hierarch against Rhino Pod because I was at 1 life and was just needing a Through the Breach to finish off my opponent who only had 1 or 2 lands in play after I hit him with an Emrakul from a Breach.
It is like you said, it kind of acts like a 5th Through the Breach in terms of providing direct damage with a fatty in hand and at it's worst it still draws you some extra cards and can kill something in the process. I do not feel like it is good enough to run 2 and I would not be lost if I removed just the 1, but it is nice to have it rather than not have it I feel.
The more I play the deck the less I am liking the Gifts package. I am not sure if it is because I am not familiar enough with Modern to make the right calls when searching, or if it just isn't as good as something else might be. I might give it a whirl without the Gifts Ungiven if I can find something else I would rather have.
But I is not because of your little if any gifts package. That gifts ungiven seems bad? Normally you would run multiple spells with same affect to be able to cast what you want. Or gift for snapcaster and noxious revival togeather with two other spells.
Awesome to see some activity here - even though I'm late to the party.
Not really a fan of Blast of Genius or Karn in this deck.
Regarding Gifts - it's though because there's no "auto-win" pile you can make like you can with UW Tron. Unless you play Snapcaster Mage and Noxious Revival, but that also requires a lot of mana. I like 1 Snapcaster even without Revival.
The last time I played this deck I went back to Gifts+Revival because I felt I needed to be able to search for the Breach package. That was before KTK. In the current meta I'm not so sure - people will have gy hate to stop delve spells and Delver plays a bunch of cheap counters, so you probably have to rely less on resolving Gifts ftw.
It's okay. Nothing stellar as sometimes it just hits a lot of nothing (lands, signets etc). I think you can just play one more Compulsive Research, a Gifts Ungiven or Thoughtflare too.

Darn, I have a foil I got in a draft a while back so I am trying to use it in anything.

Well, it does work. It's just that sometimes you'll hit a bunch of nothing, but the same happens with Compulsive/Thoughtflare. Only Gifts guarantees some quality "draw".
That used to be my favorite deck to play during that Standard format. I honestly don't think it would work in Modern, the format is choke full of linear fast decks that would just destroy it.
Not a fan of the Banefire/Demonfire style of wincon here. It was used on old UR Tron (Kamigawa/Ravnica Standard) because you also played stuff like Meloku and the dragons, so Demonfire would provide reach to finish games. Here we usually don't do a lot of damage until we use Through the Breach.
Seems like this card will fix the issues with the other tutor effects. We have already Eerie Procession as a tutor for TTB and have with Blast of Genius TTB N.5
This setting would also allow us to play Peer through depths, since it can now find both halfs of the combo, while we can kick stuff like Gifts (streamlines the deck) or other clunky card draw spells (looking at you Thoughtflare/Compulsive Research). The only beef I have with this card is, that it is a Sorcery, as an Instant I would snap play it.
Besides this, it allows us to run a small SB toolbox (TKK, Smasher and Drowner mainly). Main problem I see is, that it might be just to cute.

I was thinking, would Braid of Fire + Leyline of Anticipation to allow for a quicker hardcast for one of the larger creatures be worth a spot?
Or at the least being able to keep your mana open when using through the breach during your upkeep?
Condescend is definitely better than Mindswipe. Scry 2 is awesome for this deck. Dealing a couple damage points is not.
