We need primers for tier 1/1.5/2 decks, but budgeted! If you'd like to take one, make it and message me please to look it over.
Also, I need someone to put together a list of approximate cost of decks, preferably with break downs of each deck of what are the most expensive cards in spoilers so guys new to the format can keep it in mind.
EDIT: Any budget threads can be put into this sub, not just 1-2 tier decks.
If you would like to make a primer for a budgeted version of a deck, please make sure to include:
Name of deck
Picture of the deck's cards/banner
A brief bit on what the deck is, how it feels to play, how it aims to win.
A brief bit on what the "full" version of the deck is, what are the cards cut, and how you replaced them.
Cost of the "full" Deck, cost of you're version.
How to play it?
Sideboard options.
I am new, and not sure on how formatting works, if I can get some help I will work on Niix or Kiln Fiend blitz later. Can somebody link the formatting for me?
The Shamanism thread was dangling in the Creation forum for a long time and when I was finally getting some good MTGO Daily results I saw that DRS was banned, so it will not be established any time soon. I think that deck has a better future here. The core of the deck is dirt cheap and it is very good. I will make a modified version of the current primer in a few days. Do I need to send it, or can I just start a new thread by myself?
Do you want me to just move the entire thread over? Or do you want to start a new discussion?
Its really up to them, If its done on a budget and they prefer it to stay that way, then they can ask me to move it. The budget thread was highly requested for people who don't have the money for price spiking modern cards.
Sweet! Thanks for making this forum. I'll be submitting Elves and 8Rack soon.
I don't think tier 1/1.5 should be a requirement: a lot of decks like that suffer greatly from going budget. With exceptions, I think it's best if they're tier 1-3 and that some don't actually require any upgrades to be better.
Treasure Hunt should probably be moved here. I'm not sure how much it is with all the best cards but I think it's supposed to be pretty cheap. Course I guess whether you should move it depends on whether you want to move decks here that are budget by default (I think it's a good idea, but it's understandable if others don't).
Linvala is irriplacable just going to have to go unprotected :(.
but I don't really want to make the primer though... I don't really know enough. my budget pod is "a long term project"... I am currently using gates :S.
If there are more people interested too, I'd like to ask for a Living End budget primer (I can't make one because I have no experience with the deck, but I'm interested in it). With the exception of Living End itself and the manabase (which is something that can be worked upon), looks like it's a really cheap deck to assemble, and without Deathrite Shaman anymore in the format, I humbly think it has more space in the format.
I wrote a fairly thorough primer for budget soul sisters, it's in the casual forum, and could maybe use a bit of tweaking, but I'd be happy to rewrite it and post it in this forum if it's sufficient. Here it is for reference.

Just need to replace Fetches, Voice of resurgence, noble hierarchand Chord of calling... err and not have the archangel of thune combo although you only need the one.
Checks and shocks, well I am using the old school Tidehollow sculler in the two drop spot but Strangleroot giest is also pretty good there. Avacyn's pilgrim, Elvish mystic and Elves of deep shadow. Replace chord with redundancy I run sac outlets all the way up the chain and multiple merlia's.
