Now, this is exactly as the title says. I am in the process of making a UR kiki control deck and would like some other peoples view on the deck and how to upgrade.
Moved to the budget subforum from the main modern forum.
Logic Knot is going to be a good counter for you. Opt also lets you play at instant speed, either flashing in a creature or using the cantrip. I'd include 4 of those.
New list including Saheeli Rai It is a bit less on the budget side, and is jeskai. Since Felidar Guardian can also blink Kiki-Jiki, Mirror breaker, it is interesting and can be loads of fun. so far haven't tested it much though. Here is the list.
The deck is very effective against lantern, since the most the copies are 1 power and often get by Ensnaring Bridge and its very powerful in tempo/control builds. Any suggestions would be helpful, and if you are planning to buy the deck, please take the advice here.
1. Don't play a Kiki-Jiki, Mirror breaker on an empty board (same goes for Saheeli Rai)(this rule should be obvious).
2. If you have a Kiki-Jiki, Mirror breaker in your hand on turn four, it is pretty amazing if you flash your Deceiver Exarch on their upkeep, tapping one of their lands.
3.(final one)Always take advantage of your opponent tapping out, you can even flash your combo pieces on their end step!(also, a pretty obvious rule)
3 Kiki-Jiki, Mirror Breaker
3 Deceiver Exarch
2 Zealous Conscripts
4 Pestermite
2 Pia and Kiran Nalaar
3 Mana Leak
4 Spell Snare
3 Electrolyze
4 Lightning Bolt
3 Sleight of Hand
8 Island
6 Mountain
4 Shivan Reef
2 Spirebluff Canal
2 Wandering Fumarole
