So Aggro, Midrange, Control and Combo are all represented. I believe there are a few Tron and Titan Breach decks at x-1 as well. While Dredge beating the hate is a bit worrisome, waiting too see how Day 2 pans is going to be interesting. Watching KCI get crushed on stream a few times was worth it.

Modern: Decks I'm playing right now: G Mono Green Tron (34-10-3 paper record, only SCG/Regionals/PPTQ record) C Eldrazi Tron (9-5) UG Infect RW Burn
Thought I might as well make a thread to talk about it even though Day 1 is already done.
8-0 decks are 2x Humans, 2x W/U Control, 2x Dredge, Bogles, Hollow One, Jund, Storm, Jeskai Control, and The Rock
YOURE BACK!
Nice cross-section with two notable BGx appearances. Hopefully we see similar representation on Day 2 tomorrow. The 3 Bye metagame also looks really diverse, with some interesting options like Izzet Phoenix, Faeries, and Martyr.

Yes I am. This has been my biggest break from Magic yet but I hope that won't happen so soon if ever again. Good to still see you here as well though I see you are no longer a moderator.
Anyway I agree that is does look pretty good and balanced. If you sort them by archetype then UW/x Control becomes the most represented but since we are only talking about it being a single deck more than the others probably doesn't make it anything to go by.

Yeah, I stepped down about 1.5 years ago because I didn't have time to keep it up. I think Lantern stepped down shortly after that too for similar reasons. But good to see the forum is still going pretty strong, all considered.
I'm interested in seeing if Izzet Control is just Blue Moon as we know it or something else. Crackling Drake seems so strong and there's lots of space around that card.
Guys please opinions on japanese cards. Lost a 3/3 creature against Japan celestial colonade. This guy played all creatures and spells in english cards, but some cards in his manabase was japanese. I dont registrated this really ( my brain say its all fine and all english to me lets attack his empty board)...and i am sure it is a Kind of legal cheating. It is not ok, but i know legal. I Hate such people. I never forget colonade normally, but with this Tricks it can happen one time in 3 years and such people take advantage of this
If I am a customer spending premium amount of dollars, I expect a premium service. Jund falls into the category of a premium deck costing more dollars than a majority of the rest of the format. I'm not getting the desired performance ratio per dollars spent out of the Jund deck because WOTC decided to make the format more diverse.
A lot of things had to go perfectly right for that Fae deck to actually win. We saw it spin its tires, draw 3 cards a turn, and have a commanding "advantage," but still do essentially nothing and be on the brink of losing at nearly every point. This is what the "20" looks like in an 20/80 matchup!
Psyched to see David Hauser playing Possibility Storm combo! I have that deck myself, but it's very outdated. I like his toolbox-style build.
You had me at Possibility Storm. I played the deck for a few weeks years ago, but every time I consider bringing it back, I feel that Through the Breach is nearly strictly better and it prevents me from pulling the trigger. (I'm talking about at FNM, not Comp REL play. I don't have the guts for that, haha.)
P.S. - Post the deck list if you can. I'll be looking for it in the "top 32 deck lists."

Yeah, that was a great game with some tight gameplay. Excellent example of the control pilot using their resources to win some close games.
