Claim is absurdly strong in Modern. It helps Blue out a lot giving snapcaster even more value. Picture Turn 1 Thoughtseize or IoK and you reveal Claim // Fame and Goyf. Discard the goyf and it comes back for less mana than it's casting cost. Discard the Claim and you still get your Goyf and you can Fame it to boot!
The green last stand looks playable in UG decks where you can snapcaster it back. Maybe a new BUG deck will be viable! Overall this set is pretty great.
Hopped on the Claim hype-train. Pre-ordered 2 sets at 80 cents each. The card is going to to make some rounds in Modern.

Margaret Thatcher: “The problem with socialism is that you eventually run out of other people's money.”
Benjamin Franklin: "Those who would give up essential Liberty, to purchase a little temporary Safety, deserve neither Liberty nor Safety."
Martin Luther King Jr.: "I have a dream that my four little children will one day live in a nation where they will not be judged by the color of their skin, but by the content of their character."
I don't think this does enough to warrant inclusion in any snapcaster deck.
It might make it in Abzan or elves where they can cast it off of 1-2 mana dorks and suffer 0 drawback.
I've never seen a BUG deck or a RUG deck that rely on mana dorks enough to really work around the drawback the single token doesn't seem stronger than the Black wraith one in a Snapcaster deck. Maybe Bant runs this and helps that color shard become a thing that doesn't revolve around dropping Eldrazi but I doubt that also.

Im picturing some kind of "Next Level Blue" (NLU) remix. Current snapcaster decks aren't running green, but now they have a new reason to try it. Two mana for a 5/4 is pretty good, draw backs be damned. I think it's a fair card if played on Turn 2, and it just get's better from there. The later you cast it, the less the draw back matters. It's a great top deck.

wouldn't Cryptic Serpent just be better in the late game? likely 2 mana with no draw back and a bigger body.
I just don't see snapping back something that dies to the most common removal and locks you out of casting things on the following turn not being something that a snapcaster deck would be looking to do. The black one seems far more snapcaster friendly as it is going to be good against a wide variety of decks and resetting the board just seems stronger even with the draw back as you can T3 board wipe, T4 your opponent recommits and short of haste creatures isn't going to be doing much more than attempting to rebuild and a follow up untap snap+board wipe on five seems really strong as you will have netted so much CA out of it.
Regarding Rhonas's Last Stand, Goyf dies to Fatal Push, too, and it can't be recurred with Snapcaster Mage. It's likely to be bigger than Goyf for a turn or two, as well. Its biggest drawback is that it's GG.

I would think that double green and not getting to untap 4 lands off of a snapcaster would be the draw back. It just seems to leave you very open to getting blown out hard on the following turns, you snap this back and your opponent follows up with double push or push snap push and you are left with nothing and you don't get to untap 4 of your lands seems like a highly probable line of play in the current format

Forgive me, I just play so many mana dorks in my decks that I tend to assume it's obvious you're going to need them to support this card. It's only good in a small handful of decks, and they'll have a tough time finding room, but it could shine there.
This card is a typo that made it through RnD: Why doesn't it need flash if it doesn't trigger on ETB? Is it really a problem if it hit your own triggered or activated abilities?

I think Claim//Fame is certain to see play. I could see it giving UR Kiln Fiend a resurge, now with a black splash for Fatal Push and Claim plus some sideboard cards.
Claim//fame also costs 3 mana. Khologhan's command is an instant, is better against affinity and burn, and you don't need a creature in your graveyard to play it.

You don't have to cast both halves at once. Claim this turn, and then Fame next turn once they can attack.
From my experience trying Liliana, the Last Hope in a 4-creature deck (a UB Control one), along with my experience with Unearth in Legacy before Deathrite Shaman was released, I think the reanimation part of Claim // Fame is being overrated a bit here. I ended up Cycling Unearth fairly often back in the day due to a lack of targets (even though 2-drops like Stoneforge Mystic and Bob kick butt, 12 of them just weren't enough to make Unearth consistent). I also find LLH's -2 fairly useless with that few creatures in the deck. Given that Claim will only be good in similar reanimation circumstances, I feel that Claim will be less consistent than some of you think.
Rhonas's Last Stand is interestingly large and Snapcaster-able, although the drawback makes me wonder whether aggro or tempo can really support it. Oh well, 2 mana is the soonest we'll get a 5-power creature for a while, and that token is bigger than very nearly all Turn 2 Goyfs...
I already said my peace about the card in zoo. Its testable, but my gut tells me that as long as you can push or path it (lands dont tap, path does a tapped land) It cant see play.
2 drop creatures, and thats technically what it is, need to have game changing effects (not game winning, thats for 3/4 drops) and this MAYBE does it by damage, but when you compare it to something like Tarmogoyf or Snapcaster mage or eidolon of the great revel its not really going to make it.

Kommand puts a critter in your hand, claim puts it on the battlefield, big difference.
Regarding Stifle Pigeon - if it allow your effects to be targeted I think it would counter the Cycle if no other targets were available.

-ETB triggers
-Persist triggers (disrupting the Melira Combo)
