Hazoret the Fervent seems very interesting to me since it's a 5/4 haste from the top of your deck for 4 mana with a decent ability which seems like a build around me card. Luckily getting almost hellbent is very easy to do in modern with cards like collective brutality/liliana of the veil which are already good cards. I have heard rumblings of this being tried in jund.

It seems good for "Skred Red" as a top-end where it can dump extra moons or mana rocks and lands later in the game.

I use two copies of her in my RW Norin/Soul Sisters deck. Since my deck can be easily devastated by a board wipe, a top deck Hazoret the Fervent has won me many a game. Also, since soul sisters is full of low drops I often can empty my hand by turn 3 and a top deck hazoret can seal the deal turn four.

I think it's still pretty good tbh. I can see it being played in more midrange decks as a 1 of. It's great with Liliana, brutality, etc.

I've been lurking around the Jund and Ponza threads... from the posts I've seen. She performed nicely in those decks. Although in different numbers, Jund decks use only 1 copy, while the Ponza decks sometimes have 2 of her in the main.

The only reason I don't test is because her card is expensive to buy right now..

I sometimes see Hazoret in Affinity sideboards as a 1-of. They can afford the 3 mana per dump, she's a good way to burn up excess Mox Opals/Springleaf Drums/lands/Memnites/etc., Affinity dumps its hand fast, she's not an artifact (and she therefore dodges artifact board wipes), and every 2 damage to the opposing head matters when you're playing Affinity.
