Interesting... Mindcensor in at rare. Great reprint itself, but moreover, it's an already-spoiled Invocation that is also in the main set. This means it's possible that other Invocations are also in the main set, not just Mindcensor. If so, that opens up the possibility of Counterspell, Containment Priest, Daze, Divert, etc.
Definitely not saying any one of these will happen. But Mindcensor's confirmation opens up all those possibilities.
I thought this immediately... I thought it was a bit strange that Mindcensor, CS, Divert, etc... were printed on these Invocations... But if it's on the set as well it makes a little more sense. I want it to mean that counterspell will be reprinted so much!!!!
This is the only "glimmer of hope" we've had in years!
It's possible since Embalm is a *couter* to counter spells lol as mentioned in the article. And theres so mutch invocation counters so its not impossible for it.

My thought exactly when I saw Mindcensor in the set proper. Curious to see if the set has any of the other invocations in the set proper as well.

I have dyslexia, no I am not going to spell check for you, yes you have to live with the horrors of it.
Renewed Faith reprint rocks. I'm super pumped for a possible Astral Slide follow-up. Very Egyptian-themed, but I can also see Wizards worrying about its power in Standard.
Cat Snake is interesting but probably not Modern-playable. Then again, the theory I heard is that this card is a SERIOUS countermagic hoser, and wouldn't exist if Amonkhet didn't have serious countermagic. Maybe Counterspell reprint is happening??
Ok - being the optimist over here, maybe there is still a good modern staple counterspell in there that isn`t a reprint? Maybe?
If there isn't, then I've lost confidence in WotC's design. Not only did they miss the revolt counterspell opportunity, they miss the "this set is naturally resistant to counterspells" opportunity.
Com'on, WotC, you wouldn't let me down, right?

Cycling duals. Painless, fetchable, cycling duals. Don't even care that they come into play tapped.
well...I'm not sure. obviously Loam or some such deck will want them, i'm sure they will be better than the BFZ lands, but always ETBT is a major drawback. not sure how well most of them will play, but I do want a set of the UB one

Project Booster Fun makes it less fun to open a booster.
With the return of cycling I'm praying we get some good utility/cycling lands. I really want a life from the loam deck to be more viable in modern and that'd be a good step towards it personally.
Edit: maybe enters tapped cycling dual lands of some kind?
I got what I wanted for christmas in March, aka amonkhet spoiler season

Come watch me stream over at my twitch channel. I play Loam Pox, Ad Nauseam, and jank in modern on MTGO.
I'm so excited for those duals, you have no idea. Praying we get the enemy colored ones in HoD. We almost have enough "typed" lands in modern to make emeria, the sky ruin happen in a three color shell. When that happens, I imagine it'll set a new tier for "fair" lategame potential. The question is if such a shell can hang with the powerlevel of modern.

Yes, I am a local area mod. WELP. GOOD LIFE CHANGES ALL HAPPEN AT ONCE AND SOME ARE MUTUALLY EXCLUSIVE
Primary Decks:
Modern: Esper Draw-Go
Legacy: RUG Lands
EDH: Sidisi turn-3 storm
FYI was brewing around with a 4c Emeria/Valakut shell back in RTR times, since you could abuse Realmwright pretty hard in that shell. Worked surprisingly well.
Either way, Bant Emeria looks really tasty now, cause of the Knight of the Reliquary in the typical UW Emiria Titan shell. Though, the Loam shells (especially the Infestation shell) will love the cycling lands. If they reprint the 1 mana cycling lands too, than the Loam decks might become "real" decks (aka Tier 2).
Greetings,
Kathal

What I play or have:

either funpolice (Delver, Deathcloud, UW Control) or the fun decks (especially those ft. Griselbrand)
Not sure who else cares about CIPT duals - even if you can cycle them later.
Imma say no. Ive tried the dredge thing with it and while banning grave troll hurt dredge it murdered that version. It doesnt have the speed to compete against titan versions or reliablity to beat the blue or bring to light versions

Possible the CoCo should be Vials. Usualy hatebears starts off strong, and sometimes just choke the oponent to death. But their lategame is often weak. Well, now you can keep brining back Ghost Quarters all day long. Your oponent can only have so many basic lands.
Also, Leonine Arbiter's abilaty is not symetrical. Once your oponent taps out, you can pay 2 and activate Knight of the Reliquary trading a land for a Ghost Quarter and further locking out your oponent. Also, growing your Knight in the process. Once you start dredging life from the loam it will grow even more.

...for card evaluation, Renewed Faith looks spiffy as possibly maindeckable life gain on an instant.
knowing them they will reprint complicate since it doesnt cost 2 becayse wizards hates 2cmc counterspell, but i hope you are right
