There is no "Path" test. Every creature loses to Path except the ones that have hexproof/shroud.
I don't really like this card in Modern: it's heavily synergy-driven in that you have to have other cards for it to be useful at all, but at the same time, the synergy you get is not all that strong compared to, say, Arcbound Ravager.

There is a path test. All agressive or mana creature played turn 1 or 2 passes that test. Ramping the oponent turn one or two is not what you want to be doing.
