Hey guys, i just built a stupid fun Impact Tremors/Purphoros, God oh the Forgetokens deck. Obviously i'm not expecting to win anything past an FNM, or not even that, just have fun in a powerful format as Modern and take a break from netdecking to build something of my own.
I have the main plan pretty clear and have tuning it to do it better but, as you can guess, i'm having trouble with fast decks. The deck suffers a lot when under the insane pressure of Naya Burn or Affinity. So my question is, what's the best choice to stabilize against them in Mardu colors. Bolt is very useful since it can get rid of the early creatures but it leaves me in the same position with the opponent, so i thought about Wall of Omens, great against ground-based aggro decks, but not very useful against flyers. One of the best options i have is Blessed Alliance. So what's your thoughts?

Anger of the Gods is great against decks that flood the board and is decent against dredge as a plus. You also want to play Inquisition of Kozilek to stop combo and to take out aggros most dangerous cards that are hard to deal with once they hate such as, cranial plating, burn spells, or bushwacker like effects. Wall of Omens is kind of eh but you really need to clog up the board if your are not a snapcaster deck and sadly you cannot run Goyf to stone wall aggro.
Legacy - Sneak Show, BR Reanimator, Miracles, UW Stoneblade
Premodern - Trix, RecSur, Enchantress, Reanimator, Elves https://www.facebook.com/groups/PremodernUSA/ Modern - Neobrand, Hogaak Vine, Elves
Standard - Mono Red (6-2 and 5-3 in 2 McQ)
Draft - (I wish I had more time for limited...)
Commander - Norin the Wary, Grimgrin, Adun Oakenshield (taking forever to build) (dead format for me)
How much time do you need to stabilize? Things like Holy Day are good for buying a turn or two until you can wipe the board or gain a presence. Things like Soul Warden are also useful as ways to gain life for the long term.
Thanks guys! I've consider the wardens a lot, i just need enough time to cast Lingering Souls, which most times gives too many bodies for aggro to punch through and then i can deploy Mom and Dad, stabilize and start to trade. The thing is sometimes i don't draw Souls within my first 3 turns and they kill me or leave me at 3-5 life and proceed to topdeck a burn spell so i need a turn 1-2 play to get off fast.
The options you've given me are very good and will test them, thanks a lot.
Collective Brutality is an awesome hedge against early aggro. It can be a 2 mana 3-for-3 against Burn type decks, and you can get some nice value discarding Lingering Souls to it.
Otherwise, Rest for the Wary and Timely Reinforcement are allstars. Lingering Souls is not that bad either (vs Affinity), but Anger of the Gods is probably better vs both of them even though it hurts your combo (wipes your tokens/creatures too).

Seems much too slow against Burn and Affinity or Infect just go over/around it.

It's actually worse if you want to use something like Grim Lavamancer.
main deck ghostly prison should buy you enough time though
edit: Timely Reinforcements is another great card vs those decks and synergize well with you deck i believe
