Word of Siezing has been a cool little trick in commander for a long time. If you are playing the nahiri combo yourself (kiki chord or jeskai controll) how would you feel about using word of siezing as a sideboard option? Stealing an 8 loyalaty nahiri and ultimating it to get your own Emrakul would look like a very good play.
Or is it to narrow at 5 mana?

I have dyslexia, no I am not going to spell check for you, yes you have to live with the horrors of it.
I bought a playset of these months ago for 25 cents each with the same idea. I have played against another Nahiri deck exactly once since then. Not a good idea, at least for my meta. Would probably rather run Bribery in the lolz slot.
First of all if you are referencing to a card, please use the card tag function: Word of Seizing
Second the card is way too narrow to use for 5 mana. It's only really good against planeswalkers that are about to ultimate unless you got some kind of sac outlet. Not good enough for modern.

You're better served playing Catch // Release if you're trying to do something fancy in a Nahiri deck.
Catch and Release is too hit or miss. They can bolt their Nahiri in response, which isn't the worse for you but Word of Seizing is split second so you can take it and -8 without fear of them somehow removing loyalty.

They cannot bolt their Nahiri because the damage redirection is only available for opponent's planeswalkers. If your opponent attempts this, kindly thank them for targeting the bolt at themselves.
Catch's downside vs Word of Seizing is it can be countered and adds another color.

Wow. I did not know this. I didn't know that you couldn't Lightning Bolt your own Planeswalker. I understand that the damage is directed at the controller of the PW and then upon resolving, may go to the Planeswalker. But I definitely did not know the damage redirection was only for opponent's Planeswalkers.
But regarding the card, it's a neat trick and definitely game changing. I wouldn't play it unless I was seeing a large amount of planeswalkers though. It's not the most flexible card and Aggro absolutely laughs at a 5 mana instant that doesn't win the game (like Ad Nauseam does).

Yes, it came up recently in a modern GP or SCG open, but I can't find the video. A Jund player tried to bolt his Liliana to pump his goyf for the last point of damage. The judge quickly stopped that.
Here's the rule that I should've included in the other post
306.7. If noncombat damage would be dealt to a player by a source controlled by an opponent, that opponent may have that source deal that damage to a planeswalker the first player controls instead. This is a redirection effect (see rule 614.9) and is subject to the normal rules for ordering replacement effects (see rule 616). The opponent chooses whether to redirect the damage as the redirection effect is applied.
Unfortunately every try hard from Sacramento to Shanghai preaches from the top of their 27 lands + Mana Reflection that Tooth and Nail and Time Stretch are fine to play in the same turn but Armageddon is unfair.

The goal was to grow the goyf in order to block a titan
"Are you serious?" Chandra replied.
