Chalice of the Void isn't really a Modern staple card, but I think it will very likely be in this set. Goblin Guide is another one I'd bet on, it's played in Legacy Burn and has had a silly price tag for a while now. Goryo's Vengeance is another card in need of a reprint that sees some play in Legacy (tin fins combo).

I don't think we'll see Snapcaster or Liliana because those will be chase rare/mythic in MM3. Why waste that equity with a set devoted to formats that play them less frequently than Modern?
I think Grove is perfectly reasonable to expect - it's played in Legacy Jund and Legacy Lands decks and was eligible for prior MM sets without being reprinted.
I don't think we'll see Goyf or Bob. Bob isn't played very much anymore and while Goyf sees play in Canadian Thresh and Shardless decks, it can continue to sell MM packs instead of EM packs.
There will be PLENTY of opportunity for them to reprint non-Modern cards in EM while saving the Modern cards for next year's MM set. We should also take into consideration the number of cards reprinted in MM sets that were above certain price points before the reprints. There weren't really that many. Goyf, Bob, Cryptic, Emrakul, Karn, Clique, Fulminator, and Hierarch are the only ones that quickly come to mind (though I'm sure I'm missing a few). And those were spread out over two sets. Assuming 4 cards worth over $50 prior to the reprint, there are only 2 left (since we already know about Force and Wasteland). I think we'll see Karakas and possibly even Mana Drain, but I'm not at all hopeful for big money Modern cards.
We'll certainly see Modern playable cards, but my bet is that they aren't money cards. Probably more things like Abrupt Decay instead.
not sure we will see many modern playable cards other than something like crucible or liliana maybe but i am looking forward to seeing the crazy price fluctuations in the wake of spoilers, it's always interesting. i got 3 liliana awhile ago by trading away some expeditions so i feel a little bit bad that she may get reprinted here but i do think long term her price will be unaffected the same way goyf never drops in price even though it has gotten reprinted a few times now.

I doubt Liliana's price will do what goyf did. She isn't played in nearly as many decks and is still below Goyf price with only one printing. I think that her price is only what it is due to low supply.
Also, my mindset on cards coming down in price after I buy them is to not worry about it too much. If they were worth it to you for the price you payed for them at the time then it should matter that they came down.
the way i see it i won the lottery by opening an expedition verdant catacombs and horizon canopy. i traded in those for them along with several other cards so i don't really feel like i went out of my way or spent a lot of money to obtain them. my girlfriend likes liliana and i wanted her to get the full lili theme deck experience which i couldn't really do without LotV.
i get that the supply is low and that is why the price is high but i also don't think they will print enough EMA (unless there is a source to prove otherwise, i would LOVE to see them print tons of this set) to really crash the price of a lot of staples like fow. prices will fluctuate during spoilers and again once people can get their hands on physical copies of cards, but long term i don't think my choice to 'invest' in lili will prove to be a bad one. cards are meant to be played and she is seeing some action on my kitchen table for sure.
There might be a few reprints of Legacy staples banned in Modern like Jitte. I'm guessing most will be commons/uncommons that get reprinted all the time like Giant Growth, Negate, or any number of burn spells.

Why on earth would they print either Giant Growth or Negate in EMA? I can see a lightning bolt reprint, but those other two cards are magnitudes lower on both power level, importance, and desirability.

While I think there are better versions than those (Invigorate or Copunter-spell) that would be better to print. Since it is intended as a draft format and, assuming there will be powerful spells, they will also need different types of counter-spells. Look at Modern Masters, not every card was highly played modern staples.

No I absolutely understand - it just seems odd that they would specifically reprint the cards Negate and Giant Growth. I would think that they would use this opportunity to print long out of print cards that would fill similar roles to those other two. Things like Counterspell, Invigorate, Forbid, Capsize.. etc.

Giant Growth is just an example of card that was printed in the MODO Masters set. Negate just because they print it in everything. My point was not that these exact cards would be reprinted, but that Modern legal cards in this set are likely to be rather boring commons or uncommons and not sought after rares and mythics.
I expect Dark Depths, JTMS, and SFM from the banned list. and for no other reason SDT, counterbalance, Ancestral Visions, and Goyf because its well Goyf.
It would seem ludicrous to me that they wouldn't reprint modern cards in this many modern cards have made splashes in eternal\EDH formats. Also I want a foil True Name Nemesis! *fingers crossed*

Considering how obsessed they are with making Booster sets great for Limited (regardless of whether there are people playing due to the prices of boosters) and considering how True-Name Nemesis wrecks Limited (well, Eternal Masters doesn't look set to be multiplayer-Limited), I don't expect to see TNN in Eternal Masters. If anything it has a better chance of being in Conspiracy than in Eternal Masters, honestly.
Well, they did say it also caters to Commander, so I personally want foil Demonic Tutors that don't cost more than Goyfs do. As for Modern-wise I think all the things that see play in both Modern and Legacy are going to be shoo-ins for the set.
Definitely hoping for Cavern, as for Liliana, I think she has a good shot to be in the set. Unfortunately, it will be at Mythic so get her while the set is out as the price will jump right back up to where it is now in no time I am sure.
All of this was done with a few larger goals in mind. First, this was Eternal Masters, meaning it was leaning toward having cards more relevant to older formats. Cards were allowed from Modern-legal sets, but the design team leaned away from powerful Modern cards, leaving those for future Modern Masters sets and instead focusing on cards that either played well in Eternal formats or worked well with the old-school archetypes the draft was built around.
Extra copies of JTMS is always a good thing. Sure, Mythics in Masters sets don't really dent in price all that quick, but any avenue for extra copies helps to bury the old "unbanning JTMS would just make the format more expensive" nonsense that seems to occasionally overtake more legitimate points about why he is or isn't safe to unban.
