How many island and what would you recommend them be changed to? I'm running Vedalken shackles though.. And both build was created using blue moon as a base..
Other than blood moon, is there any other cards in blue or white that can slow down the game so that Nahiri can be more easily protected? Ghostly prison perhaps?
If your goal is simply to protect nahiri, timely reinforcements isn't bad. Or lingering souls, though that moves you into mardu instead of blue.
I thought of that previously, but I'm trying not to go into white too much cuz of blood moon.. That's why I main 3 anger to deal with creatures as well as shackles to steal opponent creature just for blocking their other creatures, and try to load up with lots of counter to deal with other stuff. There's quite a number of times my Nahiri gets bounced by cryptic and stuff just before I could ultimate and win the game with emrakul. Right now I feel that blood moon is dealing equal harm to my opponent and to me for some reason.. Lol!
Perhaps its cuz of bad land base set up? The number of fetches, number of basic, number of island, number of shock and stuff.. Currently I'm playing around with my 2nd build but moved the batterskull to the side and with 4 blood moon.. I also notice I kinda tend to miss my 4th land drop, causing me to unable to cast anger after setting up a vent, island and plains for the 1st 3 turns to drop blood moon and also so that I can cast nahiri with blood moon around. Perhaps pyroclasm would be a better choice to have than anger? But nowadays creature tend to have a big butt and survive pyroclasm quite easily.. Like Nacatl and stuff.. But pyroclasm does deal enough for infect and affinity though in the early game.. Even bogles easily get a 3 butt on their turn 2.. if only blue have a one mana counter all stuff and not just only non creature (spell pierce) or 2 cmc (spell snare) or instant only (dispel)..

Reprints the one card that people point to when saying that art objectifies women.
Well done Wizards.
Liliana does not objectify women in any way at all. We have gotten to a point in our society that every single picture of a women must be objectifying a women in some negative way......blah blah blah.. That is not the case. (((Sarcasm)))Picture of a girl drinking a milk shake, must be sex related and putting women down, picture of girl sitting on a beach, picture of a girl driving a car, picture of a girl on the moon at a new space station.)))
You have a picture of an attractive strong power women who girls dress up as for anime conventions. What more do you want? The picture is fine, happy to see a reprint. Sick of of seeing people claim that everything in existence must be putting women down. Then all I have to do is replace the word "women" with anything else to get the same mentality; fish, cats, arabs, blacks, jews, men, environment, whites, chinese, old people, etc. It doesn't matter what word I put in. Stop sucking life out of everything man. That artwork of her is awesome. Stop putting stuff down man. Just stop. If the picture was really as negative as you claim she would totally nude, in a kitchen, making sandwiches and giving blow jobs. Her abilities would be horrible as well. +1 do nothing -2 do nothing -6 do nothing. Instead liliana of the veil is an amazing planeswalker comparable to jace, the mind sculpter with great art to appreciate.
My suggestion listen to some comedy radio for a while, pandora is free, youtube is free there is something out there for you. ***** go make fun of somebody. The whole world is so serious and campaigning for some cause, or someones rights, everything is a hate crime, racist, sexist. blah blah blah.
"O no mcdonalds must be slandering a hate crime against skinny people every time they make a big mac." hahaha jeeze You're just someone perpetuating another groups negative perspective that they've made you believe is correct. Look at the picture for a hour and tell me what's wrong with it? I don't see anything.
I have heard vague rumors of a moustache-dispensing vending machine in a distant laundromat, across the street from a tattoo parlor. However, this information is shaky, and time is of the essence.
The Jeskai Blood Moon build is a mess on multiple levels.
I love questioning assumptions but at some point you need to be able to recognize that there's a group of smart people working the Blue Moon angle and an even larger group of people playing Jeskai Control. If it were possible to make Blood Moon work in a Jeskai deck then it's likely that one of those two groups would've figured something out by now.
If you want to use Blood Moon then you can go Mono-Red or 2-color. You might also be able to make it work if you go Naya and use green for heavy-duty color fixing. You might also be able to make a primarily colorless build.
While I'm here anyways - the one assumption that you SHOULD be questioning is the necessity of using blue. It's not necessary. If permission slays your Nahiri deck then your deck is hopelessly narrow-minded anyways. There's tons of ways to beat permission decks. If there weren't, then permission decks would dominate the format.
I spent thousands of hours learning to play around my friends' decks, and most of them loved to play classic big blue decks with Counterspell, Arcane Denial, Force of Will and Stasis all together. If you don't know how to beat big blue without relying on hate cards (or your own permission cards) then perhaps you need to proxy up a big blue deck and practice working against it. It'll make you a better player. I can't tell you how long it took before I learned that a 6 damage fireball to the other players dome was sometimes a smarter play than killing the Mahamoti Djinn that he just tapped out to cast. The game has changed a lot since then but there's plenty of other things that are just the same.

You don't have to flame the guy. His build was just splashing white for nahiri similar to how green only splashes for goyf.

Just to be clear, it's not flaming if someone is constructively disagreeing with another user by criticizing the idea and offering suggestions on how to attack a matchup. As long as people are being civil, respectful, and constructive, they can also disagree with people and point out areas where they may have gone wrong.
I thought I was being constructive but I guess I came across as too aggressive too. I apologize.
About splash colors - I think it's an entirely different issue when Blood Moon is involved. Splashing for green is usually easy, but trying to splash a third color that also gets around Blood Moon is on a different level.
Has anyone had success with Nahiri and Ral Zarek/ Gideon Jura? Both seem to have great synergy with the tap down effect.
Though there's never anything wrong with asking, I don't really see why a "combo" with Nahiri + Tapdown effect is necessary -- or even effective ever; the card cmc's are just pretty darn high. If you can jam Nahiri's and you still have space for some more finishers (and elect to play Gideon/Ral), then I'm sure the synergy is apparent and will more likely be incidental. Not because the combination is particularly amazing or ingenious; they just merely situationally complement each other, much like how Serum Visions and Nahiri work together well. I guess what I'm saying is, if Ral Zarek and Gideon Jura haven't already begun making waves in Modern, then I doubt Nahiri would push them any further.
To answer your question though, Francis Cellona's 9th place list at GP LA played a singleton Tamiyo, the Moon Sage, which is a tap-down effect. I'd imagine there were scenarios that came about, where the synergy between Nahiri and Tamiyo was fine (or even better). That said, he posted in the UWR Control thread and said that Tamiyo was the worst card in the deck by far. We can deduce that Ral and Gideon would probably yield similar results.

The reason why I suggest planeswalkers is because the format has slowed down tremendously so planeswalkers are more playable then they ever have been. Suggesting different cards that have synergies with Nahiri isn't a bad idea. Also Gideon Jura is A WAY BETTER CARD than Tamiyo lets be serious here.

On mtgsalvation people don't want to discuss ideas, so I give people something else to discuss: my controversial opinions.
I didn't try Ral Zarek but I did try Ajani Vengeant who is strangely similar. I never noticed how similar until just now.
Anyways Ajani works okay in a RW build. I think that his lockdown ability is a little more useful in defense of Nahiri than Ral's tap/untap, and the lifegain from his Helix definitely helps. I definitely wouldn't bother with Tamiyo.
He plays at my LGS. My guess is the Tamiyo was a fun-of.
Some people like Ajani Vengeant. I personally have never had much success with Ajani Vengeant during its Standard run, so I see no need to test it in a much stronger format now.

Premodern - Trix, RecSur, Enchantress, Reanimator, Elves https://www.facebook.com/groups/PremodernUSA/ Modern - Neobrand, Hogaak Vine, Elves
Standard - Mono Red (6-2 and 5-3 in 2 McQ)
Draft - (I wish I had more time for limited...)
Commander - Norin the Wary, Grimgrin, Adun Oakenshield (taking forever to build) (dead format for me)
I played Ajani Vengeant in Jeskai Flash before. He was...average. Same with Elspeth, Knight-Errant. I don't see myself wanting to run either of those two again, not with Nahiri and Cryptic Command clogging up the 4-drop slots as it is. I like those two cards just fine; don't need more 4-drops.
As far as Gideon goes, I've played him before in Jeskai Flash as well. Nice curve-topper. I was (generally) never disappointed with him. Sweet card. I don't know what I'd cut to place him in Jeskai Harbinger, but he'd probably play out fine alongside her. Thing is, he's still 5cmc -- not sure if I really want to add him in.

The thing is, Gideon guarantees that Nahiri isn't getting attacked so you only have to worry about burn. Gideon also is great against almost every deck.

The main deck that hasn't translated to modern from legacy was the Nahiri decks that run "hate" such as blood moon. Nor have the through the breech Nahiri decks really taken off in this meta.
