Hi, not sure if this is the right place to post this. Anyway, the UR eldrazi thread is locked.. so I hope it's ok to ask here. Well, I have been testing a UR eldrazi deck for modern, and testing has been a bit ok except when I tested against decks that have Worship in their sideboard. It's surprisingly hard to get rid of because my deck has no counterspells in the main or sideboard.

Things I've tried so far are:

1. Using Cyclonic Rift on the Worship before I make one huge attack. This works if they are low enough health, and I have a good board presence.
2. Trying to tick Ratchet Bomb to 4.. slow and it often does not work because they either get rid of the bomb or I'm dead before the bomb gets to 4 counters.
3. Try to end the game before they can draw the worship / pray to mtg god that they don't draw it. Ok, I'm just joking about the praying to mtg god part, but trying to aggro them to death before the worship comes down also works in some games.

Worship isn't a very popular card in the format. Part of constructed is accepting that you have bad matchups. However, there is utility cards you can place in the main or side that deal with Worship and many other cards. Repeal is pretty effective bounce and cycles itself as a bonus, but Cyclonic Rift is probably just better. Bounce is your best bet in your colors tbh.

Looks like you are already on the right track. Bounce it with one of the many boomerang effects before combat. Or
Oblivion Stone plus a burn spell would work, but is a lot more mana intensive.

Hmm, ideas appreciated. Ok, indeed Worship isn't a very popular card - thankfully. It's just two people at the store that I go to for playtest that have worship in their sideboards. I was just curious of the techniques on how other players would approach the situation if they would face that card. Guess I'll just stick to the bounce effects, and sometimes just accept that it's bad luck if I face one of those worship using people at FNM. @.@

Worship doesn't stop life loss, so any of that works. It's possible to inflict would-be-lethal damage and finish your opponent off with Vapor Snag. There aren't many other options with that route, unfortunately.

You best best is Echoing Truth IMO since it's actually decent in other match-ups.

Thanks for the advice everyone. Anyway, I've put a Cyclonic Rift in the main deck. And just choosing either 2 vapor snag or 2 echoing truth in the side.

I have a friend who owns an All is Dust, will just borrow the card from him for testing.

Tested the All is Dust, it's speed is good enough as long as i'm not mana screwed.. not only does it remove the worship, it's also a one sided board wipe against some aggro decks like Elves. However, I would still prefer to have the Cyclonic Rift in the main, and have the All is Dust in the sideboard. there are plenty of Affinity in my meta, and dust hits very few things there.

Added one Set Adrift on my SCG shopping cart.

putting 4 boomerang in your deck can really be good for a control deck. Just sending their mana to their hand puts them one turn behind you every time you draw it.
