A promising plan would be to dump everything to the yard, get some Lands and Llanowar Elves to establish an overwhelming Boardstate.
Question is, does Rites + X enough impact to be worth the inclusion in the deck?
Everyone is able to calculate that this is a bit much.
There are some non-synergies here: Narcomoeba can't ever trigger Prized Amalgam and is a dead draw.
I could go for more zombie'ish style with Gurmag Angler, Gravecrawler and maybe Lotleth Troll but this will shift the deck in another direction - constantly recurring dudes, less space for comboing with Rites + Behemoth.
Another problem is the all-in-combo approach:
there is literally no space for interaction. Burn, Infect, Robots and other Aggro strategies seem like an auto-loss. Unburial Rites is easily handled by Remand Turn 4. Pyroclasm creeps my board to unplayability.
Not to mention Relic, RiP and Scavenging Ooze.
whereas Crime doubles as my 3rd discard option and fighting through Combo and Control.
I'm packing too 2 Ghost Quarter and gambling too with Mutavault because it's a Zombie and fits nicely into the Loam / Dredge package. I keep my eyes on Drownyard Temple because it easiliy enables Bloodghast + Prized Amalgam triggers.
Dakmor Salvage maybe also a decent fit here. Dredges + recurrs [card]Bloodghast.
I expect Skaab to be the most misunderstood card of this new set:
It's not about pumping out the most Dudes you can get, it's more to outgrind / recurr the devil out of your deck and present a slow, but omnipresent clock only few spells can get rid of.
Everybody notice that these are fine discard outlets and work perfectly fine with a lot of Dredge Card, as they enable Dredge every turn.
There has been a dedicated thread for it, Craterhoof Dredge.
The deck was initiated by Pascal Maynard.
It's aim was to dredge into Unburial Rites + Craterhoof Behemoth plus a bunch of Narcomoeba and Bloodghast.
The deck hasn't come to a lot of success sadly.
Is it viable to brew with those one?
It's so much value it's really insane noone uses it.
What would be the most promising thing to brew with?

I think that the deck is able to take 2 different directions:
1. All-in Combo
Dredge like the Devil and recurr something from the Grave. The usual Suspects could be:
The important thing here is that the resurrection must win the game immediately.
2. The Value train
Pack the Deck with Cards that answers every threat.
and aim to outgrind / -value your opponent.
I'm supposing that the first approach is the more promising archetype, but i got no igniting idea to get that rolling.

The BIG plus here is Stitchwing Skaab, Bloodghast and Prized Amalgam.
This combination is able to put 8 power to the Board in just 1 Turn. Question here:
Are they at there strongest in a Dredge deck? Or do they better fit to a Zombie-only shell?
More questions than answers i guess

I'll further investigate into a BUG Life from the Loam, because Loam synergizes well with stitchwing Skaab, Raven's Crime and Bloodghast.
My preferred Discard Outlets are
- Stitchwing Skaab
- Lotleth Troll
- Raven's Crime
