how ever when using mass polymorph we can make a combo of creatures. there is lies the discussion what creature combo is good for killing an opponent right on the spot?
I was thinking 5 creatures or less would be ideal.
You can get the job done with just 2 creatures, which begs the question "why aren't you playing Tooth and Nail instead?" Tooth and Nail doesn't place as many deckbuilding restrictions as Mass Polymorph.
I mean it's a cool card, but like izzetmage said, there are cards that do what it does way better. Tooth and Nail is just one example. As for the comment about interaction and digging, I'm sure you could make a deck where the 6 mana isn't restrictive, but that means either making a deck that can consistently stall/control until you draw the combo, or making.g a deck that can ramp to use the combo by turn 3/4.
The problem is, those decks already exist and they are way way wayyyy better than mass polymorph decks could be. They're called UR Twin and Tooth and Nail, respectively.
Yeah, because all you do in those types of decks is dig for the combo, you never run any kind of interaction with your opponent, right?
Close, but not quite. If your goal is to cast a 6-mana spell, you get there with ramp or "rituals". See: Amulet (Summer Bloom) and Ad Nauseam (Lotus Bloom/Pentad Prism).
6 mana is a bit too much - burn or any other combo/linear deck will goldfish you.

I play Amulet, and I basically don't interact with my opponent. I play what, one Slaughter Pact mainboard? Two Pact of Negations as well, but they're normally for after I combo off. I don't play any other removal MB, I just go for the combo. It's just that my combo happens to make 6 mana as early as turn 2, turn 1 if I play SSG. I also have a good matchup against Burn and Affinity. The fact of the matter is, when everyone's playing decks that are trying to win as fast as possible, mine winning on turn 2 is better than theirs winning on turn 3.
1. Your wincon costs 6 mana at sorcery speed.
2. You only get as many creatures as you have alive when it resolves.
3. You can't play any other creature cards than the ones you intend to cheat in.
You "think" 5 creatures or less would be ideal? Try Keeping 5 token creatures alive on your board in modern while getting to 6 mana and resolve that sorcery!
You played JESUS?!?! I heard none of his guys stay in the graveyard, and once you think you have him beat he ALWAYS comes back to win within three turns. I like...WORSHIP him.
I'd rather this thread be in deck creation as just by virtue of it being here it will garner a lot of uninspired 'y b creative when yu can twin' type responses. if you are looking for constructive discussion, this is not the place to post this idea. higher traffic =/= better thread.
anyway,
4x lingering souls, the best token card in modern. you're now esper tokens with a combo finish? 4 IoK 2 Thoughtseize. you have access to bitterblossom. plus you can play rapid hybridization/pongify as removal and chump/make a 3/3 for any tokens you have laying around before 6mana. the problem is consistently finding mass polymorph, not drawing your creatures you want to polymorph into, and condensing the ideas for the deck into something coherent, which I clearly have not done in this post.
usually people feel content just using polymorph and getting an emrakul, the aeons torn.

1 Xenagos, God of Revels
1 Emrakul, the Aeons Torn
2 creatures, infinite ping:
1 Triskelion
1 Mikaeus, the Unhallowed
2 creatures, attack for infinite:
1 Kiki-Jiki, Mirror Breaker
1 anything that untaps a creature on ETB, or Restoration Angel
2 creatures, troll mode :
1 Realm Razer
1 Tyrant of Discord
3 creatures:
2 Massacre Wurm
1 Hunted Phantasm

BG Rock
Modern:
RW Sun & Moon
RBG Dredge
RWG Burn
Legacy:
W Death & Taxes
The funny thing is, both of these decks are good against Burn because:
1) they don't (usually) play fetches
2) Radiant Fountain/Phyrexian Unlife
3) Leyline of Sanctity out of the sideboard
| Ad Nauseam

Grixis Death's Shadow, Jund, UW Tron, Jeskai Control, Storm, Counters Company, Eldrazi Tron, Affinity, Living End, Infect, Merfolk, Dredge, Ad Nauseam, Amulet, Bogles, Eldrazi Tron, Mono U Tron, Lantern, Mardu Pyromancer

Footsteps of the Goryo / Protean Hulk combo has a lot higher potential than this card.
