It is my favourite card in the history of mtg. Seemingly useless but bonkers fun. Making it work is the fun part!
oh yeah no denying it's a fun and unusual card, but there's no way it was ever going to be competitive, and I feel like that should be fairly easy to see in terms of the big picture and card evaluation for formats like Standard and Modern.
but then I must be wrong, because we have this strange scenario here where people are hoarding, buying out, destroying cards and stuff all in the name of recouping their initial speculatory investment.

Modern: G Tron, Vannifar, Jund, Druid/Vizier combo, Humans, Eldrazi Stompy (Serum Powder), Amulet, Grishoalbrand, Breach Titan, Turns, Eternal Command, As Foretold Living End, Elves, Cheerios, RUG Scapeshift
If I were going to try and win with it though I'd probably do something like:
4x Faithless Looting
4x Vexing Devil
4x Lightning Mauler
4x Wall of Omens
4x Seige Rhino
4x Lightning Bolt
4x Lightning Helix
3x Slayers' Stronghold
Its clunky as all hell but basically the idea is to run it like a burn deck with a lot of ETB creatures to finish it out. Use Seance to gum up the ground in the future but they just burn out the opponent the whole way through. Iuno. It would need a lot of play testing.

The following link is an invitation to join Pucatrade (card trading service though similar to TCGPLayer). If you follow the link then it awards me with tokens to exchange for actual cards. Thanks! https://pucatrade.com/invite/gift/86097

On another note, I wonder if there's a BW build with Rotting Rats, Chittering Rats, Pack Rats, and some big guys to Reanimate like Ashen Rider...
