Im looking for something like highland game Something that can gain a little life, and block and maybe trade with a creature, that's around 2 mana.

Kitchen Finks is the gold standard for life-gain and blocking.

Obstinate Baloth can technically be free if your opponent makes you discard.

Courser of Kruphix is also food for the top deck filtering and lifegain.

Thragtusk, Courser of Kruphix, Scavenging Ooze, Kitchen Finks, Siege Rhino, Huntmaster of the Fells, Obstinate Baloth.

So now 4 mana is close to 2 mana? Sure, baloth and huntmaster as great, but they aren't cheap, let alone thragtusk. Are those even on point here?
