Top 8 was as follows:
1st. Grixis Delver
2nd. Burn + Nacatl
3rd. UR Twin
4th. Suicide Zoo
5th. Naya Burn + Nacatl
6th. URb Storm
7th. Affinity
8th. Burn + Lightning Berserker
Pretty cool top 8 to say the least. Storm hasn't appeared for a while and delver was discussed to be not tier 1 and the weakest of the grixis strategies, but puts up 2 finishes in the top 18 but no grixis control in the top 24, until you get to 25th place. Also lots of burn, surprising that the delver player made it to victory, but that shows the power of Death's Shadow in that deck. Twin is no surprise, and neither is affinity. 2 Cards i found interesting in the burn decks was the nacatl and lightning berserker, since the nacatl doesn't seem the most card available to the burn decks and berserker is extra fireball each turn. Also happy to see Suicide Zoo top 8 as well showing off Death's shadow in another deck. What are your thoughts from this top 8? Edit: clarification and making it easier to read
Glad to see an Ad Nauseam deck out there : a non-Spoils of the Vault version that wins indicates that different build of the deck are viable and that it is a consistent combo deck that as a fair place in the meta.
Glad also that Bogles did well! No Living End though...
The Gurmag Anglers in the UR Storm sideboard are sweet tech. UR Storm has toyed with man plans in the board many times before, but Angler dodges the removal spells that opponents are the most likely to leave in against Storm: Bolt and Decay. Angler also trounces 4/5's, is incredibly cheap, has a high cmc, and is a one-spell threat, so it dodges the cheap board wipes (including Engineered Explosives) that too-smart opponents leave in for fear of Empty the Warrens.
The reason there is no Grixis "Control" in the top 16 is because it has a 20% MU against all those burn decks you see. Grixis is the 'flavor of the week', and those burn decks/zoo meta-gamed them hard. No more, no less.

Grixis Delver isn't any better against them yet it won.
The maindeck Blood Mood in Twin is interesting. That Storm deck sure is innovative. Goblin Electromancer is an engine of its own but only running 3 is pretty brave. I am a fan of the maindeck Goblin Lores since they are basically "Draw 4 for 1R". Also something that I have noticed, ever since the meta shifted all of the well placing Affinity decks are running Galvanic Blast in place of Thoughtcast. Is this for the reach needed to close out games? You'd think they need gas to grind against the resurgence of BG/x again, right? If someone could enlighten me why that'd be great. All of the burn decks were Naya too, but the latest placing paper once was only RW. The online meta is different but it is still interesting to see.

Probably to hedge against Twin. Wanting to swing your your cranial plated dude only for it to be tapped and you getting comboed on the following turn just feels so bad.

Yes they are. They can actually pressure and race with delver and YP that the control decks don't have. How you can say, that their MU isn't any better doesn't make any sense to me.
Delver has an abysmal matchup against burn. We deal so much damage to ourselves that its almost an assured game 1 loss. He won because he figured out burn can't beat Death's Shadow.

Who said it didn't? We're talking about whether or not Grixis Delver has a better burn MU than Grixis Control which it absolutely has.
