Nice to see the meta breakdown like this. Modern is as healthy as many people here think.
DTK gives some interesting tools for Modern decks to develop. Good job!!
So many interesting decks showing as 1 of in the Day! Hoping to see one of them in camera.

Common sense is the most fairly distributed thing in the world, for each one thinks he is so well-endowed with it that even those who are hardest to satisfy in all other matters are not in the habit of desiring more of it than they already have. - René Descartes
What was the best choice in that situation? Holding Lightning Axe in hand with the opponent beating for 5 a turn didn't seem like a particularly strong play even with Nourishing Shoal for 15 in the offing.
Did he target the Kitchen Finks or Anafenza? Chord of Calling is going to beat him at some point if it's in hand already and trying to get Anafenza off the board before it can be drawn seems like the right play.

Well, he autoloses if Chord goes off, so almost any play that didn't autolose the game would have been a better choice. He also had at least 3-4 more turns to survive, just based off his current life total and the Shaol/Wurm. He wasn't under that much pressure and he needed that Axe as his discard engine.

The correct line of play was, just to take he damage, untap play land say go, keep the Lightning Axe up, take another hit (he would have gone down to 3, I think), play the land, breach in Wurm and kill the opponent. Here he still has Lightning Axe and has also the mana for it. The exception is, when the CoCo player plays a additional thread (depending also on which creature it is).

What I play or have:
Modern/Legacy
either funpolice (Delver, Deathcloud, UW Control) or the fun decks (especially those ft. Griselbrand)
Here comes Bob's deck tech! Updating this post as we see anything interesting or a decklist. It's probably pretty similar to the one in the Griselbrand thread, but we'll have to see!
I'm surprised its doing so well tbh. I have the deck myself, and in 15 round tournaments you tend to lose a match or two just to bad draws and its semi inconstancy. For lower, say 9 round tournaments, I find it tends to be better. Happy both it and ad naus are doing well though!

Maybe I'm misremembering but I think he only had 3 lands at the time he made the play. I could be wrong on that. In that situation he never gets to Breach in time for the wurm with Lightning Axe up.

Bob described it as the "best deck [he's] ever played".
We have someone else on the deck too. Might be Zach Jesse, but I'm not sure.
I really want to build this deck. I know some of the pieces are expensive but it seems like one of the cheaper ones in Modern, hopefully its appearance here doesn't cause any price spikes.

Yeah, it feels slightly inconsistent, but adding the scry lands help a lot.

Oh, that could be the case. But this line also gives you the possibility to draw a SSG, and than you still can do it. Also it opens the possibility, that the CoCo player taps out.

Let's see, it happened several times that cards spiked without a real reason (remember the Fist of Suns spike back in GP Prague 2014 when Van der Veegt played the deck and put up a good finish.
@All, because ktkenshinx mentioned it earlier, he plays a slightly different version than the rest of the Shoal team. The "standard" list plays G for occasional hardcast of Shoals (to be able to splice) and mainly for SB cards (Abrupt Decay). He dropped G to be able to support Blood Moon better. Blood Moon gives you another way to just win games (as he said in the deck tech). In the end he kicked the Leylines out of the board and uses the Blood Moon in the discard match-ups, since those decks often folds to Blood Moon.
It's still better than no outs.
Storm Crow is strictly worse than Seacoast Drake.

Non-interactivity at its finest.

Slay still sucks
edit: Deathmark lets you "bolt the Bird", so I guess there's one plus for it. But you can't Deathmark the bird on turn 1 if you're on the play
