Hello, aspiring brewer here, always interested in what other people are building and I have a love for combo decks of all kind but not stereotypical ones, ROGUE combo decks. These decks really excite me and I thought it'd be fun and very intriguing to assemble a list of rogue combo decks :P. I might add a sort of list with descriptions and deck lists eventually but I just thought it would be cool too see what sort of submissions.
The List:
Narset Reanimator
Modern Painters Servant (liquimetal coating)
Spreading Algae
Living Lore
Jund Scapeshift
Death's Shadow
Wizard Combo http://www.mtgdecks.net/decks/view/53818
GW(r) Twin http://www.mtgsalvation.com/forums/the-game/modern/budget-modern/565560-gw-twin-presence-of-gond-midnight-guard
Quest for the Holy Relic
Taking Turns
Post-Ban Eggs Variants
Early Harvest Decks
Instant Reanimator (not super rogue, but uncommon none the less)
Mono-green Devotion
Restore Balance
7-land Belcher
Twiddle Storm
Blistercoil Weird + Paradise Mantle
Puresteel Paladin
Unexpected Results
Duskmantle Guildmage + Mindcrank
Protean Hulk (My own build)
Pili-Pala + Grand Architect
Seismic Swans
Heartless Summoning
Possibility Storm
Thanks to izzetmage for the first response.
P.S. Idk if this is in the right spot to post but i thought it seemed pretty "broad" as per the rules so i put it here.
Edit: Uh links are broken im not sure what i did wrong, I'm new here Ill try to fix that in a bit busy right now
I was working on a primer for playing combo in Modern a long time ago, but never got round to finishing it. A lot of the stuff in that document is probably outdated by now with bans/unbans/new cards printed.
Some decks I had on the list (minus the popular ones):
Mono-green Devotion
Restore Balance
Elves
7-land Belcher
Twiddle Storm
Blistercoil Weird + Paradise Mantle
Puresteel Paladin
Unexpected Results
Duskmantle Guildmage + Mindcrank
Protean Hulk
Pili-Pala + Grand Architect
Seismic Swans
Heartless Summoning
Feel free to ask if you need an explanation on any of the decks.
You put things like Emrakul, Through the Breach and Omniscience in your deck, then spin the wheel.
Unexpected Results -> Emrakul, win
Unexpected Results -> Through the Breach, put Emrakul into play from hand, win
Unexpected Results -> Omniscience, cast Emrakul, win
You can also hardcast Through the Breach for Emrakul.
I guess that time warp deck that takes infinite turns drawing its deck with howling mine effects then winning with lab maniac would count as a combo decks of sorts all be it a slow as hell one
Coolios lots of reccomendations. Deetoz ur deck goes in as "Quest for the Holy Relic" and i think i'm gonna start putting in links when i get the chance. LtGlitter whats the name of the deck?
Edit: Green Sun's Zenith at least thats what I found.
This wins that turn, so you can use Pacts to protect it easier? It involves more cards that you can actually play without the help of Tooth and Nail or the ramp? Including lots of clone effects you can use on opposing big creatures while stalling into your ramp? You can use both strategies in case you get hit by Slaughter Games?

Technically both decks win that turn. Xenagos gives haste. But all of your other points you made are quite valid, I run a T&N deck packaged with genesis wave in case of slaughter games.

I was literally just clicking on this thread to reply with "Izzetmage" is the list.
Narset infinite combo I played it once and it was very prone to bricking or I made one misplay that made my chances of bricking even higher but it was hilarious to play.
For the first I wonder if theres something to make mass islands. heheheh Boil
Second one is Neato! Basically a modern version of painter's servant. Ill put that in the list.
Tideshaper Mystic/Trait Doctoring/Nightcreep does not work, since Spreading Algae pops off as soon as the land is not a Swamp anymore. Better go with Sylvan Scrying to find those Urborgs. Also, do this with lots of efficient creatures with swampwalk plus Rancor, which is particularly good because you strain out whatever they play that can get rid of Spreading Algae. I made that deck at some point and it was decent. The best part was getting to play with Mire Boa.
Edit: I should add that what ultimately made the deck fail was the fact that there aren't enough good creatures with swampwalk in Modern.
But seriously, I a have notepad doc of all my ideas and just not enough time to post them all on the site. But you should link to each thread in the OP, not have people go search for them. Make it a more comprehensive list.
Lol! I think I'm going to go brew that deck because of that card. That's just fantastic.
What tier 1/2 deck in Modern plays a lot of basics? Merfolk? I feel like Burn could probably still take you out with fetches + shocks.

These days, some wizards are finding they have a little too much deck left at the end of their $$$.

Jund Scapeshift

Jund Scapeshift is actually pretty good and could possibly be tier 2 with a bit of refining.
Can't seem to find an example decklist though
Maaaaaaaaan the name of that deck is half the reason to play it, at least give it that!
Edit: Green Sun's Zenith at least thats what I found.
You can win with just one card for 9 mana: Tooth and Nail into Emrakul, the Aeons Torn and Xenagos, God of Revels
You're better off with Polymorphous Rush onto your Sylvan Caryatids, or just a bunch of Phantasmal Images/Renegade Doppelgangers.

Stay reasonable, be mindful of your expectations and don't feed the trolls.
