Btw, Mystic Enforcer is modern legal, so you can play him (if you want).

I was using Mystic Enforcer as an example of an awesome Threshold card. Sure that is legal, but the thread topic is "What decks would become enabled with plausible reprints?" and I'm suggesting the reprint and reinstatement of an entire mechanic (Threshold) rather than a single card.
Wild Growth would be a boon for green devotion decks. I know my Tooth and Nail would be happy to see it. Sadly, if stuff like Sheltered Aerie is the best we're gonna get in Standard, I don't think it's happening.
Cabal Therapy might just be what Esper and Grixis cotrol need to be competitive.
Grixis of basically all varieties already is. Esper needs something else, being as therapy slots into jund/junk/mardu/grixis all slightly better than esper could currently accommodate for (unless I'm missing something).
I wouldn't play Therapy in Jund/Junk, their creatures actually matter, even the spirit tokens. And CT's full power comes from flashback.
Mardu, Esper and Grixis get a lot of Spirit/Elemental/Monk/Kobold tokens, so they can afford it better and that's great because we need more stuff that plays better in Br/w/u than in BG.
cabal therapy as a reprint would make dredge a deck. WOTC doesn't want dredge to be a deck. Ergo, we aren't getting cabal therapy outside of a supplemental set.

This isn't really the thread to argue, but I could very well see junk loving to sac finks to cabal--especially against burn. It would be great with the new liliana, it would be good with souls when they aren't being used to chump stuff, could be semi-built around and be great with monastery mentor (junk doesn't really run that many creatures, it could actually make the card playable in a BGx shell).
Who knows, may even see crap like doomed traveler see play--cabal is really strong.
I would like to see Cabal Therapy and would try it out in all of my decks. It's an unique effect with a few different strengths and weakness compared to Inquisition/Thoughseize.
Cabal Therapy is not enough to make true dredge decks a thing... But is enough to make Zombardment a thing, and THAT is a fun deck to play :3 I would like that very much. It would also likely see play by all manner of BGx/Rock variants, notably allowing them to kill of Bobs, burn through souls / finks, and can be cast after discarding off of liliana... But very few would call it "overpowered" in these decks.
Alas, the true point was already made, WotC hates and fears dredge with a passion, and is unlikely to take even the slightest risk of making it a legitimate deck, which is such a pity because... zombies
Propaganda would put a UW prison style deck on the map in a hurry. the mono-white version is almost there already but having ghostly prison 5-8 would really help the deck out.
To be honest any control deck running black is close to being good due to the new delve cards. They simply need better removal: (Innocent blood, Toxic Deluge come to mind.) Control decks could also use a divination at instant speed.

either funpolice (Delver, Deathcloud, UW Control) or the fun decks (especially those ft. Griselbrand)

Then you'd need the cycling lands. And those would be awesome in a Loam plus Seismic Assault list, which is just on the cusp of playable.
