I've had a guy try to go get a coffee next door while I was comboing off. He tried to get some other people at the shop to watch to make sure I didn't cheat hahahah. It got to the point where he just held my deck and passed me whatever card I tutored for because he was bored and wanted to speed things up. I didn't care since there was not shuffling or putting cards on the bottom involved!
People eventually started conceding to me when I started to combo. They didn't want to wait the 10 mins while it happened, but at the same time there's the very real chance I just brick 5 mins in which I don't think they ever realized (or cared enough about to wait for it).
Fun deck. 10/10. would combo out for 10 mins again.
People like you are why Second Sunrise and Pyretic Ritual are banned.
And I'd be the proudest player ever if I could get a deck banned! Isn't that what every deckbuilder aims for in one way or another? Having your deck be so good that it has to be banned!
Also it would make me so happy if Top was legal.. :C
It's not necessarily that the deck was so good, just that because it can fizzle sometimes, you have to force the eggs player to keep going. Also you cant demonstrate a loop until the very end so it took forever to combo out. I played eggs for a while (and even sort of a version in standard a while ago) and while i'm sad to see it go because it was a really cool and innovative deck, I completely understand and have to agree with the bannings.

You can lead a horse to water, but you can't make it put an evasive creature in its deck over a narrow hate card.
Quote from DARCYKUN »
If a card isn't worth your opponent removing, it's not worth putting in your deck.
The real problem with second breakfast was simply after cifka's performance at PT-RTR everyone and their brother started playing the deck and most didn't bother to do enough playtesting to play the deck. Having the last 5 turns take nearly an hour wasn't terribly uncommon. . .
There was also the fact that Eggs came about just after old Storm had been nerfed by the Seething Song ban, so a lot of people who like engine combos immediately jumped ship to Eggs without putting in the necessary amount of goldfishing to understand how to combo off in a less than stupid amount of time.

Well, I can saw a woman in two, but you won't wanna look in the box when I'm through.
Faced off against Oops all spells last night. A friend threw it together as an April Fools joke.

OK.
at a modern tournament recently, i was playing Tron.
my opponent was playing mono-ramp. i was trying the whole time to figure it out. he was in UGB colours, running explore, Kiora, Kodama's Reach and others.
he left up counter-mana the whole time so i played carefully and didn't run into them. eventually I landed an oblivion stone and forced through an Ugin. his permanents went away and i had emrakul online the following turn.
then he played courser of kruphix. he has about 20 mana online at this point, and reveals the top card of his deck..... villainous wealth!!!! i couldn't believe it.
That sounds super sweeeeeet, I've been wanting to make a wealth deck myself but I can never really figure it out. I was messing around with BUG Tron but that's just waaaay to janky. Honestly hadn't thought of just using normal lands

Definitely Top Control.
I have only faced it once in all my time and I did win 2-1 but I sure hope I never face it again. It's so annoying. I think the version I played against didn't even have a wincon besides decking people.
If even somebody who likes playing Control thinks you deck is annoying then you know that you have accomplished.
8-Rack is already a deck that tends to get people up in arms but Top Control definitely cranks it up to 11.
We had a blast trolling people, but our matchups were terrible. I played the enchantment prison deck, he played the blood moon deck. So, of course, he played merfolk in round one, I played 5c control. Round 2 he played against burn, and I played against 4c loam. Round three, he played zoo, and I played against cruel control. All in all, hilarious time, but I went 1-2 and he went 0-3, and if our matchups had been swapped it would've been easy pickings. It was good for a night of trolling people, since I'm known to *typically* play Esper control, so people keeping sketchy hands against me and hoping to draw out of mana problems and such were in for rude surprises from curves like suppression field into ghostly prison into auramancy + something else into sphere of safety.

I played a Restore Balance deck at one point in time. It was a terrible deck.
I've also played against a guy who liked making unusual tweaks to this decks. He played a Faeries deck that had Izzet Staticaster with Basilisk Collar. He also played Dark Confidant in his Merfolk deck.
It was downright terrible at the time, but it has a few more tools (Hushwing Gryff in particular) that might get it to non-joke level - there's no shortage of creatures with huge effects and huge ETB drawbacks like Eater of Days, Hunted Phantasm etc.
I played against a deck that put a bunch of the leyline cards on the battlefield from their opening hand, and then played a serra's sanctum, and an opalescence on turn one. He then proceded to kill me with 5 4/4's on turn 1

This deck doesn't work. Simian Spirit Guide and Chancellor of the Tangle are not creatures when they produce mana, they're creature cards. The only card in that deck that could cast a Superion is the Priest of Urabrask.

He chose to draw. In Turn 1 he doesn't even play a land, then discards a Shadowborn Apostle, pays 2 life and use Surgical Extraction on it. He had a lot of them in his deck.
Turn 2, Shelldock Isle.
Turn 3, Emrakul, the Aeons Torn.
I don't know how consistent that deck was, but he managed to do that twice in a row.
That's actually pretty clever. I bet consistent, I wonder how resilient...
