Only one Modern GP within travelling distance of me, thats pretty crappy.
Im pretty dissapointed by wizards's making players focus on Standard and not on eternal formats, but what can I do? Theyre always going to host more Standard, as it makes them more money.
I'm actually a lot more disappointed at SCG's focus on Standard than Wizards. SCG's Legacy support isn't single-handedly keeping the format alive, but it did bring a lot of new people into the format and provide consistent large tournaments for those players. The changes to the Open series did add a few Modern opens but the bigger picture is nearly 75% of the events will now be Standard instead of the current 50%. This is pretty disappointing for people who want more out of Magic than turning mythic rares sideways.
Who's excited for GP Omaha, which is coming in less than 2 weeks?
I should be since it's the closest to California, but since I can't go that far, I'm not too excited. (I am excited to see the coverage though since Standard coverage is so damn boring.)

I'm unsure of how to buy tickets or get myself otherwise ready to go to a Grand Prix. My friends and I would like to go to Oklahoma City but I can't find anything on it. Are the tickets just not available yet?
