Just came in here to mention that Living End won the Classic. I noticed the guy that I played against in an Invitational a few years ago before Invitationals became even worse for us West Coast boys to go to. He seemed like a pretty cool guy, so I'm happy for him.
Also intereting to see 2 Cheerios in the top 8.

Will you post the results of the Classic? Can't find em
the card itself really isn't worth the card board its printed on...does it serve a purpose? Sure its a blue 1 drop that might not be a 1/1. I would not put it in a list and expect to win a PTQ or GP though.

Someone should compile a list of all the posts in which users say this kind of thing in case it actually does happen. I remember users saying they'd quit if Probe was banned last cycle who are still playing.

That said there were one UW Control in top 32 of Scg open and one Jeskai control in top 16 of Scg classic. That's enough for me.
As spiegel said, I sincerely doubt you would be happy if there was a single BGx midrange in the Top 32 of the Open and just one more copy in the Top 16 of the Classic. I also don't think I would believe you if you said "I would actually be okay with that." Many Modern players tend to have eyes for only their pet decks, and as long as those decks are succeeding, they tend not to care about other lagging archetypes. Objectively speaking, however, blue is not in a good place and these recent tournaments are glaring examples of this.
Guys please opinions on japanese cards. Lost a 3/3 creature against Japan celestial colonade. This guy played all creatures and spells in english cards, but some cards in his manabase was japanese. I dont registrated this really ( my brain say its all fine and all english to me lets attack his empty board)...and i am sure it is a Kind of legal cheating. It is not ok, but i know legal. I Hate such people. I never forget colonade normally, but with this Tricks it can happen one time in 3 years and such people take advantage of this
If I am a customer spending premium amount of dollars, I expect a premium service. Jund falls into the category of a premium deck costing more dollars than a majority of the rest of the format. I'm not getting the desired performance ratio per dollars spent out of the Jund deck because WOTC decided to make the format more diverse.
No more ban talk here. I understand that banlist discussion happens during the more open tournament discussion in event threads, so no one is getting warned/infracted. But any posts after this one dealing with bans/unbans will be moderated accordingly.
from what i see, DS jund is the natural evolution of the jund archetype. people figured out a better way to execute the "jund" game plan and a better deck was created. it's akin to people realizing that the tempo version of twin was better than straight up combo.
the lack of any "real" blue deck makes me sad though.

I speak in sarcasm because calling people ******* ******** is not allowed.
Yeah, DSJ not being weak to Tron and decks alike is a big deal, it's 50/50 against so much now. I played against Death Grixis on mtgo today, it's just a worse deck that plays better in the mirror. I still beat the player though, despite him opening up with a hand of 4 removal, serum visions, a snapcaster and a land, still "junded" him out.
Decks I have in my bag of tricks- Needless to say, someone who wants to play will probably have a deck UB/x Faeries UR Storm XURWB Affinity G Elves UW control
2 faeries lists in top 16. and the lists are vastly different. the hardened sales affinity deck is kind of a surprise
Like I said in the Faeries thread (and a couple other threads lately, where I'm trying the same thing), Brutality is a hell of a card. It's such a good enabler for so many different things. I'm glad it's starting to catch on.
Wish star city would actually record back up matches, so even if they don't have a live back up feature match we have something to watch instead of 10 minutes of adverts and then a match from a year and a half ago of a deck that doesn't exist any more in it's current form.

Yeah, too bad they want to play you ads so that they can make revenue and continue putting on the tournaments that you watch in the first place!

10 minutes of ads tells us viewers to close the window and do something else while waiting for the next round. At least that's what I did. Although, the plethora of boring matches between Company, Dredge, Eldrazi, and Shadow didn't exactly pull me in to want to watch more anyway.

I'd bet it'd bring in more players than it pushes out. Death's Shadow as the gatekeeper deck doesn't inspire me with confidence for the format.
Bull*****, my man
I know if someone said, "there was one Jund deck in the top 32 of SCG open and one Junk deck in the top 16 of Scg Classic" you'd be very unhappy

Why would you quit over a card that will rot in players hands as often as its cast?
"HAHA I TAP OUT AND CAST JACE"
"I swing with my 2 6/7 Goyfs, one kills Jace, the other kills you."

It's Worcester MA I believe. Which is western MA, like an hour and half from Boston. It's pronounced Wuhster or Wuhstah if you're from Boston.
It's also pronounced that way if you have a mouthful of marbles.
Was this classic a big event or does anyone know how many attended? The spread and content of the top 16 is really odd even for a small event.
