Guys please opinions on japanese cards. Lost a 3/3 creature against Japan celestial colonade. This guy played all creatures and spells in english cards, but some cards in his manabase was japanese. I dont registrated this really ( my brain say its all fine and all english to me lets attack his empty board)...and i am sure it is a Kind of legal cheating. It is not ok, but i know legal. I Hate such people. I never forget colonade normally, but with this Tricks it can happen one time in 3 years and such people take advantage of this
If I am a customer spending premium amount of dollars, I expect a premium service. Jund falls into the category of a premium deck costing more dollars than a majority of the rest of the format. I'm not getting the desired performance ratio per dollars spent out of the Jund deck because WOTC decided to make the format more diverse.
Those people who picked up fetches in zendikar block are now glad they held them. They will never go down from where they are now, I am no expert but I can guarantee that.
You sure? In 15 years of playing the game, I've found there to be few guarantees other than being guaranteed to spend money. Oh, and the fact that players will ***** about anything and everything possible.
Countersquall spike is making me sad. Staring at 8 bux a copy now.
I'm really questioning the validity of this spells usage in Modern. I keep seeing it as a one or two of in multiple decklists, but the restriction on it is so huge that I don't feel the effect is worth it in anything except Grixis Delver for the reach. This price point is just based on availability more than powerlevel imho.

People are buying it because they think Grixis Control is a good deck and a couple recent list are running several main deck copies. I mean, when it's good it's great, but it has very narrow application.

I am playing with them recently in my Esper deck. But to be honest, I do not feel much difference between Countersquall and Negate.

It's a strictly better Negate though (assuming UB is easy enough to pay, which it should be), and Negate is a playable card. Maybe not something I'd love in the mainboard but in the sideboard for sure.

Comparing with negate, sometimes you need to pay one or two extra life to add a black mana in order to cast it, and two point of damage to your opponent is not always relevant to your win condition (from a control deck perspective).
For example, against Burn, I prefer using Negate rather than Countersquall.
You also can't cast Tasigur/Push/Terminate/K-Command no while hiding up for Squall if you only have 1 black source. Which does come up.
Squall is good in Grixis because you also have burn to go over the top. That's why Esper runs Negate instead; the chip damage isn't going to close out a game for you. IMO, that makes it a more niche card.

Just won 20x Khans fetchlands in a local tournament. Don't know what to do because now price is so low...should I wait or sell all 20x?
Frontier will ever seen light? Khans fetches will be included in Frontier or not? Maybe price will rise someday? Really don't know...help me!
Pop those bad boys in a binder and forget about them. In 3 years you'll be very glad you held onto them.
This is the truth. Did the same thing with zen fetches years ago. And I'm glad that I had them now.... errr, or used to have them. Have sold all my zen fetches except for tarns. Was able to buy some useful cards, and had leftover money to depost at the bank.
No clue. It's fringe-playable in Modern (Bant Company likes it if they want to play the value game), but I don't think that's enough to drive the price up. Maybe standard-related after AER and the new bannings?

So some guys were saying eidolon of the great revel would be good to pick up now... What kind of prices will we likely see on it? Are there enough on the market that itll be a small increase or is it likely to be another 20 dollar card? Am getting them if i see them for 4 or less now lol
I picked up a playset after you wrote that. If Goblin Guide gets reprinted the deck may be in more demand and thats really the only card I could see going up, especially because I don't see it being reprinted any time soon.
MTGO's eidolons went up in price so thats a first warning sign to me

Eidolons have kind of always been about $20-25 on MTGO, for whatever reason, but the steady decline in paper means friendly purchasing prices. Foils are still pretty pricey, but regulars can be had for ~$6. If we anticipate an uptick in burn from MM17, now is a great time to buy. I don't think I would spec multiple playsets, but there's no reason not to pick them up if you want to play with them.

Probably more standard related, good synergy in the GB deck with winding constrictor.
And as you said, fringe playable in modern and even legacy.

Out-of-print Standard cards that see Standard play typically spike up until rotation. In addition, this is seeing a bit of Modern play right now, notably in a few SCG Regionals lists (some Bant Company lists running it) and by Todd Stevens in at least 2 decks in the last week on Twitch (G/W Value and Sultai Delirium).
I imagine they're also suitable if Frontier still exists. It was a quick flash in the pan where I am and is dead now, but I don't know if it's still played elsewhere.
I plan to get a playset after rotation in the fall.
Just a question. Only noticed this now... why is the 10th Edition Brushland much more expensive than the other versions. It's 17 dollars now at SCG. Is there a deck in Modern that's using it?

Bant Eldrazi is all over that. The 10th Ed. version is AFAIK the only one with the black border and modern frame, hence the premium.
