I'd recommend only picking up the cards you need and not picking up fetch lands just because they are cheap. The prices across the board for modern have been in steady decline even with rotation hitting. This has been happening since about around Magic Origins and BFZ (just look at the fetch lands + other cards that see both Legacy and Modern play such as Eidolon of the Great Revel). Abrupt Decay is seven bucks right now, Spellskite looks to be heading slowly to sub 20 usd range, etc. Part of the issue is that so many sealed products got released in succession people are just buying sealed and gambling a ton instead of buying on the secondary market, leaving mostly the casual cards to be creeping up in value over modern ones.

Look like MTGO prices have plummeted across the board (in modern) any insight?
It probably has to do with the treasure chests being untradeable. I think prices dropped across the board for all formats.

TRADING TREASURE
Additionally, many of you have requested that Treasure Chests be tradable. In response to this feedback, treasure chests will become tradable in mid-November when we update the Treasure Chest content to include cards from Commander (2016 Edition) and Conspiracy: Take the Crown. Players who have Treasure Chests in their account will always have the most recent version of the contents whenever they decide to open them (including as mentioned in the time frame above, the ability to trade them).
Hey guys. Have an offer to buy 4 Polluted Deltas at 15 euros/each. I think its 16.58 dollars each. Do you think they will up their value and should I go for it? What do you think about Bloodstained Mire as well? Thanks.
Definitely pick up Khans fetches now if you haven't already, they're not just a Modern staple but an Eternal staple too.
Have to agree with that. I think now is the time to get Khans fetches while they're still somewhat affordable. 3 or 4 years from now, who knows.. they might blow up like the zen fetches.
Have sold my playset of verdant Catacombs and 3 Arid mesa. From the money, I have already bought 4 Windswept Heath. 4 Bloodstained Mire are at my SCG shop cart, and I intend to get 4 Wooded Foothills locally as well. Intend to get 2 flooded strand and a playset of deltas after I sell a playset of scalding tarns.

KTK fetches won't ever be as pricy as Zen fetches for a few reasons- there are multiple printings of them, there is WAY more KTK out there than there is Zendikar, and Zendikar existed prior to modern's exist and the formats growth has absorbed the supply of the existing fetches while KTK didn't have to contend with that problem.
Hmm, ok that's a bit of a comfort. Hopefully, the Khans fetches don't go up like the Zen ones. But I would still get all Khans fetches that I need before this year is over.
I think we need to bare in mind that the current Fetches have just rotated recently and are bound to go up in price in the not so distant future - next few years. I don't think it's wise to suggest to newer players that can afford to buy at current cost should wait on picking them up now, that's really bad advise. Before the reprint of the Allied Fetches in Khans a single Delta was $80+ (bare in mind that it wasn't even Modern legal at that time) now you can get a playset of a newly Modern staple fetch for less than that - why would anyone in their right minds try to talk someone out of buying now? They're as cheap as they're ever going to be right now. Fetchlands are played in Modern, Commander and every Eternal format they absolutely will skyrocket at some point. Hell, I remember when the Enemy Fetches were hovering around $10-20 (like a year into Modern) due to a SCG buyout overnight they went from $10-20 to $30-40 then like a week later, due to supply and demand issues, rose to $50-75. When the Allied fetches were printed prices of the Enemy Fetches stabilized, but not by much.
That is the exact reason why, in addition to a complete set of all fetches, I'm sitting on a pile of extra Strands and Deltas. I have no issues sitting on them indefinitely, and I don't think they will ever be cheaper than the current $10-12 for as long as the game is still alive.

This might be true, but they're really unlikely to be any cheaper than they are now. And if they do go down, it'll be just a few dollars at most. If you have any possible plans of running them, there is really no reason to not grab those fetchlands.

Bloodstained Mire are needed by my Living End deck, because I have sold the playset of Verdants. Each piece of verdant cost 2500 pesos each here, and I sold them for that price. A brand new color tv cost 2200 pesos - so those 4 verdants are more than enough to buy 4 decent sized brand new color tv's. I could hardly believe that they're worth that much already. Buying the mires now because I'd rather pay 50 dollars for a playset of them at SCG.. than pay 50 dollars each for them a year or two from now - probably an exaggeration, but the worry of a sudden price increase is always nagging at me, so getting them now gives peace of mind. @___@
This thread is full of idiots... Lightning Bolt is NOT being reprinted.
Many times has a writer in Wizards said so, because of the plain and simple fact that it's too powerful for what it costs. x/3 creatures shouldn't be able to die at instant speed for one mana without a signifigant drawback. (like PTE giving you a land)
I absolutely guarantee that LB will not be printed in M10, and you can quote me on that.
Define expensive? Here in Canada you can get the U/R Fastland for under ten maple dollars. That's about the same as most shocklands.
I've been telling people to pick up the B/G and U/R as soon as possible. Unlikely they'll go out of favor in a format as fast as Modern. The U/G could raise if Become Immense gets banned.
I think you greatly overestimated how many Kaladesh packs will be opened in search for masterpieces.
They are duals that will see significant play in Standard and decent amount in Modern. Not sure of your budget but you could wait a month and see if they drop to that price, but that depends in how well they are performing Standard.
I don't really play anymore and even I grabbed a few play sets cheap and fast.
When is the best time to pick up the new fastlands? They seem pretty expensive right now.
You can get a full playset for around $120USD right now, which is $6 per card for the full 20. That's not too bad. I remember the full Temple cycle, which is worse than these, was either around that or a bit more expensive.
Something to note is that aside from bans, there is ever constant pressure on modern to become faster and more consistent across the board as the card pool broadens. It's just a natural effect of a larger card pool. The fastlands will ALWAYS be relevant after we reach a certain point in deck building where we don't want to see more than 3 lands. They become the best land in that scenario for dual color decks (excluding things like delve).
With spirits making splashes locally and at PPTQs I snatched up a playset of botanical sanctum (UG) and seachrome coast from scars (UW). The deck is only a handful of cards off of being a competitive headache for tons of stuff in the format.
After seeing the price trajectory of blackcleave cliffs (RB) due to jund, I've set out to acquire a playset of all 10. The lands are just crazy good if you're running a modest manabase with a light splash for your support colors.
I don't really see them drifting below the $2 mark even post rotation. The GB and BW ones were already a pretty bid deal for decks like modern Abzan. In UR delver/pyro decks the UR one is a no brainer. Infect only wants 1-2 copies of the UG now, but if become immense gets axed it gets a ton more attractive as someone else said. The RW is at an odd place because the color pair tends to be on the weaker end in the eternal formats (plateau price is laughable compared to anything blue for legacy duals, for example, because there are so few decks on it).
That's a lot of applications out of the gate. Aside from standard demand, which is going to continue driving (heh) the price of RW vehicles fastland and keeping it up with the others.
I would consider grabbing GB, WB, and UG now if you think you could ever play decks in those color combos. Those are all in the $3-5 range, right where a lot of the predictions had them sitting. I could see them dropping a dollar or two when they rotate, so you can always hold off if you don't think you can get $10 of use out of them over the next year and a half. WR and UR are both seeing more standard play, which is driving their prices up right now. Those will drop when they fall out of favor. That said, I just picked up a full set for $94 with very little shopping around so it's possible to get them under $5/ea on average with prices where they are as I type this. I'm sure there will be better opportunities, but they all have potential to be role players in modern manabases for a long time. They're unlikely to be the core of any particular manabase (fetch/shock is tough to displace), but 1-2 in many decks with some wanting the full set is enough utility for me to just grab them now and forget about them until I need them.

I don't think there was doubt that they'd see Modern play, but the price will remain steady as long as they're in standard rotation. Personally, none of my modern decks require/benefit from the new fastlands, so I'll probably pick up playsets post-rotation when they'll inevitably drop. Blackleave Cliffs is the standout from the original fastlands as far as price/amount of play goes, but you can get playsets of the others for under $20. Scars came out six years ago, so I'd be shocked if any of these hold significant price points post-rotation, for the next few years anyway.
