What's is the bottom for Kolaghan's Command you can find them $8-9 dollars at the moment. $4-5 around rotation?
I'm not sure we'll see a significant price drop, it doesn't see any Standard play.
Not entirely true since grixis is still a deck in standard (unpopular but a deck). It's price is mainly price memory/modern usage since people know it's a good card. It will probably drop to like $5
Misty Rainforest x2 (completing fetch playsets, no direct need): buy or wait?
I'd hold on Nahiri. It's playable in both standard and modern. It may bounce around a bit in price, but I think it's a good long term hold.
AS a general rule, never preorder cards. 95% of the time you cost yourself money. This one has the double whammy of being hyped prior to release. It's just extremely unlikely it'll maintain it's pre-release price.
Fetches are IMO always a good pickup. Nobody has a clue when fetches will be reprinted. But given how bad the last standard was with them, I'd bet that Wizards will be reluctant to degenerate standard into 4 color goodstuff decks again anytime soon.
Rather surprised that Gitaxian Probe is now 5 dollars. Is there a deck in Modern that uses it a lot?
Hmm, and I've noticed that Reality Smasher has decreased a little bit in price at SCG. Could it somehow go down to being a 2 or 3 dollar card?
Probe is played in a TON of decks. Modern/Legacy/Vintage storm decks all have it, as well as every delver variant out there. It's a legit staple of those archetypes.
I think Reality Smasher and more importantly Thought-Knot Seer are both undervalued. It's not usual that you find modern and legacy playable cards at that price at that rarity. Don't know when the price will turn around, but I think it will sooner or later.

The playable Eldrazi are cheaper insofar as a lot of the cost of those decks is in stuff like Misty Rainforest for Modern Bant and City of Traitors in Vintage/Legacy. The costs of those cards keep there from being a rush on the standard set Eldrazi.

One of these day I have to get myself organizized.

Thanks for the info. Ah, so that's why the price of probe got higher.. Probes have been sort of plentiful here at my house when the new Mirrodin came out. And they're still plentiful, mostly in good condition up to this day. It just surprised me that each one of these, more than a dozen of them.. are now more expensive than a Reality Smasher.
Well, glad that the partners in crime.. Thought Knot and Smasher are still a bit cheap. That will allow more people the chance to use these strong eldrazi. :>
What are the thoughts on Noble Hierarch?
We're almost 1 year alway from the next MM set (possibly) and I don't see it getting printed on a standard set, so it's price should only go up, right?
Misty Rainforest x2 (completing fetch playsets, no direct need): buy or wait?
I am also curious about Eldritch Evolution. I preordered a play set at $43 (shipped), so $10.75 each. The price has gone up only about $1 since then. I feel that the card will go down when there is more supply, but unfortunately for people like myself who want to play the card in Modern as soon as it comes out as opposed to a month or 2 later, I have no choice. From now until it comes out, it won't go down. But if you are one of those who are willing to wait for it to go down, then that's a good option. (I partially don't mind as well since I got 16 Allosaurus Rider cheap and I already sold 4 of them at $10 each.)
As for Nahiri, I feel that it possibly will start going down slightly and slowly, going up again perhaps if decks top 8 (watch for Peter Ingram and Company). While Nahiri is a powerful card, there are certainly many other options and with not many people picking up on Kiki Chord w/ Nahiri, which I think is a better deck than Jeskai Nahiri, I feel the card won't spike again any time soon. Not to mention, the deck building with Mardu Nahiri, Jund Nahiri, RG Scapeshift Nahiri, and others has calmed down recently. (Disregard since I forgot Modern season is coming.)
Regarding Misty Rainforest, I think now is a good time. Modern season is starting in 3 weeks and Misty being a useful fetch (Infect and more), I expect it to go up somewhat. Maybe the impending Modern season will also have an effect on Nahiri as well?
I just realized that I didn't specifically answer your questions. Nahiri - HOLD, Modern's season's coming. Eldritch Evolution - Buy if you have any chance of using it; otherwise, no. Misty Rainforest - BUY, definitely buy, Modern season spikes in price overall affect the prices and cards tend to only go down very slowly after the season ends. If I were to sell my Modern cards, which I am considering, I would do so only during Modern season.
Would it be wise to get Death's Shadow now since Suicide Zoo is so successful on Magic Online?
Death's Shadow. I think it's a good pickup. It has been undervalued. It is a very niche card, but every once in a while it pops up in a rogue Legacy deck or in Modern. Now with Suicide Zoo having nearly proven itself, it just needs a GP Day 2 to explode in price. I haven't checked them recently, but last I knew they were at $6. I myself have 2-6 extra that I may be willing to part with the second it day 2s and comes into notoriety. Most people think the deck is a fluke and much worse than regular Zoo variants. I played in a PPTQ where I had my only loss in the top 4 to the deck, so I know/feel how powerful the deck is. The guy won the PPTQ pretty easily as well. Not to mention, I've played against it every once in a while and it is a very scary deck to play against. I would even venture out to say that it's scarier to play against than Infect, although that may be just the unfamiliarity with the matchup.
Legacy - Sneak Show, BR Reanimator, Miracles, UW Stoneblade
Premodern - Trix, RecSur, Enchantress, Reanimator, Elves https://www.facebook.com/groups/PremodernUSA/ Modern - Neobrand, Hogaak Vine, Elves
Standard - Mono Red (6-2 and 5-3 in 2 McQ)
Draft - (I wish I had more time for limited...)
Commander - Norin the Wary, Grimgrin, Adun Oakenshield (taking forever to build) (dead format for me)

This is a very good point that I neglected to bring up. If you're one who intends to be a first adopter and play with a card as soon as it comes out, preordering makes sense. if your focus is to get the best deal possible, then wait.
Several Time Spiral block cards desperately need new art and/or templating.
Some of the cards are more expensive than they deserve to be too. And above all I'm definitely not alone in disliking the mismatch that goes on with the gimmicky borders and newer card templates.
You don't call "dying to removal" if the removal is more expensive in resources than the creature. If you have to spend BG (Abrupt Decay), or W + basic land (PtE) to remove a 1G, that is not "dying to removal". Strictly speaking Goyf dies to removal, but actually your removal is dying to Goyf.

It's a tough call, as they just recently re printed the allied fetches and many speculate it will be at least another year until they see a reprint as they will most likely come through standard vs be in a modern masters or similar set.
If the next block doesn't see a reprint of enemy fetches it will take another bump up I believe on the magnitude of 10-15%. The card is close to its ceiling in my opinion and I would probably offload them fairly soon if I wanted to turn a profit and didn't need them as when the reprint does come they will drop down from $70+ to $15-20. Risk vs reward would push me to play it safe and sell in the next 12 months.

I ended up moving my set of verdant catacombs a few weeks after EMA was announced, before the set started getting actual spoilers and kind of regret it now, but I guess it was hard to tell if we didn't know what was in it
I think we will get another fetch land reprint cycle, it's just a matter of time. Fetches sell packs which make it to good a thing for wizards to not do. If you have extra fetches or fetches you don't play it's alright to move them.

this is very true, they did sell a lot of Khans, as it was pretty popular. Fetches probably did influence its popularity, in addition to it being a strong set
I can imagine people were trying to chase expeditions as well
I'll be buying a set of played Tarns for around $220 from a friend who is quitting. It will enable me to build Grixis (which i have most pieces of the deck already) and jeskai. I have a few trade pieces I can sell to help me get Nahiri, Snaps and Collonades:
2x LoTV
4x Marsh Flats
I am reluctant to let go of Flats since my deck is Jund and it allows me to shift to Abzan. However, i think it will be good to make something out of it now incase of a reprint in the near future. Thoughts?

I'll say what I always say, do you want to play Abzan regularly? If so, keep the flats as you'll regret selling them when you do want to play the deck.
However, if you could easily wait a year or two for a reprint and have enough decks to keep you busy and happy, then sell them and make a few bucks and pick them up when they are rock bottom during the reprint.
I think Wotc will wait another year before reprinting the enemy fetches in standard, but it will inevitably happen as it helps move product as mentioned above. We'll probably see another block that shifts back towards being harder to combine multiple colors into one standard deck before we then shift back into having another cycle of fetches reprinted. They like to string out the "money cards" and I've noticed what feels like cycles of going between 1-2 color decks and then 3-4 color decks being viable in standard as the format rotates (though I admit I am not a standard player so don't have a firm handle on this, just my impression).
What deck uses the U/B lands? I don't understand how Watery Grave is still one of the more expensive U/B lands. And Underground River as well. Who the heck plays U/B Eldrazi?

Grixis Mid/Control has been around for a bit and has been tier 2 for a while. Ever since Bitterblossom was unbanned people have played Faeries as a tier 2/3 option. But if it's spiked recently it's probably because Grixis Delver is hot right now.
Anyone think the new spirits in Eldrich moon are worth getting? I was going to get liliana, the last hope and that one critter that puts stuff in the yard, but spirits is reminding me a lot of fairies, and they turned out pretty well off.

Keen Sense
Vampiric Bite
Mana Tithe
Ovinize (Would be nice to see in limited in some new set)
Shrouded Lore
Simian Spirit Guide (+Elvish Spirit Guide for that matter - just sayin' - wouldn't it be cool if they had each show up in a different Masters set with matching art? A little in the spirit of Hydroblast and Pyroblast?)
Aven Mindcensor
Dryad Arbor (It's in FTV but I would love it in non-foil. Original picture is quite hideous, and the elegance of the card design deserves to have a lot more prints.)
Grove of the Burnwillows (I would actually like to see the original art in an updated template. Also $$$)

Nimbus Maze - would like the same art.
