Arlinn is $30 pre-order on Starcity. I hope people open a lot of SoI.
Even though she is modern playable and very good Arlinn won't be $30 in a few months unless a Gruul deck becomes tier 1 in standard. If Gideon, Ally of Zendikar isn't $30 now and he is a standard star then I expect Arlinn to be around the same price.

With Kolaghan's command still being a thing in Standard I'd expect Jund Vampires to be pretty big in the new standard. SOI is going to get opened a TON and most of these cards should drop pretty steadily though. Arlin though, as a playable DFC planeswalker is pretty unique and might have lots of extra demand for it from things like commander, cube, and the casual crowds.
I need to buy 3 windswept heats , what do you guys say? will fetchlands drop after rotation because of t2 players dumping them? or stay at the same price, since they're some of the most requested cards?
Brief, shallow dip. There will be some standard players getting rid of them and the demand goes down a little, but there are also going to be a lot of people holding onto them. It's no secret that fetches see extensive play in every format they're legal in and are as close to a sure thing for long term price increase as you're going to find in a standard card. There are also going to be a fair number of players anticipating a slight drop and looking to pick them up at rotation. I would look at Thoughtseize's price history for reference. Heath is already the cheapest with the clash pack printing, so I would probably just grab them now unless the $3 you could save (total, across the three you need) is that important to you.

I'll repeat what I originally said. If gideon who is used the most out of all the planewalkers is $20 and he is in one color, then I wouldn't expect Arlinn to be more than that after 2 months.

Ugin is a multiformat allstar who dominated standard because he was colorless and casting him won the game flat out. (wins most games in modern too) Arlinn doesn't do that nor is Arlinn a character from the story who had a past like Ugin (died along time ago in MTG to be brought back gave huge casual appeal aside from his abilities)

Y'all see the price hike on that legion loyalist? Bought a play set back in Theros for around 3$ per gobby. Time to cash in.
Do you guys think it will stay this high?
When more copies will be available again its price will drop very fast. It's not a card that would hold so high value for a long time.
So sell sell sell now?
Unless you need them I would sell them now yes. I expect its price to drop, at least a bit so you will spare some money if you sell it now.
I was so confused when I saw them spike. What deck is playing them to create such a demand? Or was it purely speculative?
I cashed in my set for 50 bucks. Paid about 12 for the set back in the day.
I need to buy 3 windswept heats , what do you guys say? will fetchlands drop after rotation because of t2 players dumping them? or stay at the same price, since they're some of the most requested cards?
Look around in sportscard shops. Some carry Magic at amazing prices. I found 3 Origins clash packs for $25 each.
Pretty nice, as I needed the CoCos to complete my playset, and the Windswept Heaths completed a 2nd playset - no more swapping them between decks. Also had Khans packs at $3.75, and since everything was 10% off, I bought all 6 packs he had for $20.25. Foil and regular fetch.
$94 for foil and regular Wooded Foothills, 3 Windswept Heath and 3 Coco plus everything else that is in there.
Deals are out there, sometimes amazes you what a gas station, or a sportscard store has.

This reads a lot more like bragging about finding deals than helpful advice. The person you responded to was curious about the best time to jump on Windswept Heaths, taking Standard rotation into consideration.
the card itself really isn't worth the card board its printed on...does it serve a purpose? Sure its a blue 1 drop that might not be a 1/1. I would not put it in a list and expect to win a PTQ or GP though.
With Day's Undoing at 3.99 I chose to pick up a playset the other day. The card has huge potential and if someone breaks this card it could see a crazy spike
With Day's Undoing at 3.99 I chose to pick up a playset the other day. The card has huge potential and if someone breaks this card it could see a crazy spike
It was pre-ordering at $30 each and has done nothing but fall since then. Even before launch, it dropped like a stone to $15 and then slowly bled its way down to $2-3. I have a playset myself and would love to break it. Haven't found the magic juice yet; even tried it with Quicken. I think if it could be broken, it would have happened already. The end turn clause stops pretty much all shenanigans, and Quicken isn't reliable enough.

It's absolutely incredible in the taking turns deck. At 6 mana, if you exhaustion and then play Day's Undoing you basically win the game. At 5 mana, if you miracle Temporal Mastery and then play Day's you basically win the game. But again though, this is extremely niche and one deck benefiting from a card won't normally spike prices unless the deck has a huge amount of hype or is tier 1.
Voice of resurgence is $60 on face to face right now, anyone think its price will change much in the foreseeable future?
No, I don't think so. The reason for its price is that it sees play in Abzan Company which is very popular now and it will be still popular deck after Eldrazi gets nerfed and it's fairly likely that it will play it even more in that time. That said it's more likely that price will even go up rather than drop due to higher popularity of it although I don't think it will change much.
kinda felt that. I wanna get a set for Kiki Chord but I wasn't sure if I like the set so I'll just suck it up
These pre-order prices sure do seem a bit bloated, don't get me wrong, that has been the norm since Born of the Gods but this is the first time since RTR where we are actually getting a stacked set, overall mathematically these higher prices are unsustainable, I wonder if there going to make us wait until after release to offer more honest pricing on some of these cards. I mean when they have spoiled like 10 or so $20+ and a bunch of other good stuff you know the prices are going to be forcing each other down as all the good cards share the price burden per box more evenly.
Value is good. But Dredgevine isn't supposed to be about value. It's supposed to be about V-8; 2000 pounds of nitro boosted war vegetables. The more velocity, the better.

Trickbind is one of those cards that is "terrible", "unplayable", etc, until a couple of pros decide to build around it for a Pro Tour because of some synergy they found at which point everyone will have thought it was good all along.
Trickbind is a Stifle that costs twice as much mana and Stifle isn't even that good unless you hit a fetchland with it.

Pre-ordered a case. Not sure how much I will resell, though. Probably just extras beyond a playset.
