Amulet seems a much likelier ban, but you are basically right.
Price related:
1. Wait and see the T8
2. If 1+ Amulets in T8, sell every Amulet staple (Especially the foil ones) in the next 30 days.
3. Rebuy staples in 2 months if Amulet can stay Tier 2 despite bannings.
IIRC, LSV was talking about them putting it into the M15 set but it being far too powerful for Standard. I don't think it'll see any reprints outside of a supplemental product or another Modern Masters.

It was too powerful for Standard because Mono Black Devotion was a thing at the time.
Wotc wanted LotV in M15. I would say LotV will be in Origins this summer. How much this will effect the price is hard to tell. I dont see it going below $50 even with a reprint, might make them spike long term (think Bob and Goyf).
I actually dont think she will be in origins. True, wizards wanted to reprint her in M15, but then they made a promo out of her. As far as i heard, Origins features the younger version of the planeswalker, so i would expect a new version of her younger self, and i dont think she will be in there twice.
There is a possibility LotV is the younger version of Lilly. We will see soon enough.
LotV is after she got the chain veil, which is after she made a deal with demons for eternal youth. If we are getting younger versions LotV isn't what we are getting.
Sure, there is a chance of spending $4 on a booster and getting the Mythic Rare $30 super card. There is also a chance of surviving putting your tongue in a light socket.

Alrighty, so the T8 had not one, but TWO Amulet decks. I'm sitting on foil Amulets, Hive Minds, and Titans. I'm kind of reluctant to sell them, since I actually, you know, enjoyed playing Amulet Bloom. I'm also loathe to not sell them and lose both my deck and tons of money when a ban hits. I could always immediately rebuy non-foils and continue playing the deck without taking as big of a hit... I know this is the price discussion thread, but is this really what Wizards wants? My deck does well and in response I'm considering selling out? My other deck is Twin, which isn't exactly 100% safe either. Is it most financially prudent to just sell out of the format and see what happens? This is miserable.
I know this is the price discussion thread, but is this really what Wizards wants? My deck does well and in response I'm considering selling out?
WotC wants a format where no deck can consistently win before turn 4. Amulet Bloom clearly breaks that rule. The problem isn't that "your deck [did] well", the problem is your deck breaks one of the (arbitrary) rules that WotC has for the format.
Is it most financially prudent to just sell out of the format and see what happens?
If you like playing Magic, then the most financially prudent thing to do, is to pick up a deck that doesn't threaten WotC's agenda for Modern. If you want to look on the bright side, you probably just made a bunch of money on Amulet Bloom staples.
Playing millions of cards every turn... Slowly and systematically obliterating any chance my opponent has of winning... Clicking the multitude of locking mechanisms into place... Not even trying to win myself until turn 10+ once I have nigh absolute control... Watching my opponent desperately trying to navigate the labyrinthine prison that I've constructed... Seeing the light of hope fade and ultimately extinguished in an excruciatingly slow manner... THAT'S fun Magic.
We have 2-3 users that are dramatically making this thread incomprehensible and non-productive for anyone else to possibly join in the discussion. This needs to change.
Every time I see [ktkenshinx] post in here, I get the impression of a stern dad walking in on a bunch of kids trying to do something dumb and just shaking his head in disappointment.
Near Mint: The same as Slightly Played, but we threw some Altoids in the box we stored it in to cover up the scent of dead mice. Slightly Played: The base condition for all MTG cards. This card looks OK, but there’s one minor annoying ding in it that will always irritate and distract you whenever you draw it. Moderately Played: This card looks like it survived the Tet Offensive tucked inside the waistband of GI underwear. It may smell like it, too. Heavily Played: This card looks like the remains of Mohammed Atta’s passport after 9/11. It may be playable if you double-sleeve it to stop the chunks from falling out. The condition formerly known as "Washing Machine Grade" Damaged: This card is the unfortunate victim of a Mirrorweave/March of the Machines/Chaos Confetti/Mindslaver combo.
[M]aking counterfeit cards is the absolute height of dishonesty. Ask yourself this question: Since most people...are totally cool with the use of proxies...what purpose do [high] quality counterfeit cards serve?

No, it's exactly that the deck did well. This deck has existed for years. There's nothing new to see here. If it broke any rules, it's been breaking them the whole time. This is Pod all over again. I think I will sell. The funny thing is Amulet should spike even more than it will, but who is going to drop $70-80 on foil amulets with a banlist update looming in a month?
Technically, but it's extremely disingenuous to say so. It's getting hit with the hammer because it breaks the turn 4 rule. Becoming popular kicked it into Wizards's gaze, which may make them ban it.

Agreed. WotC should probably have banned a piece of the deck sooner, but something tells me that wasn't your point.
No, it's not. Pod gets better over time, because it's more common to get new creatures with relevant abilities than it is to get nonbasic lands with relevant abilities. Although I have to admit, Radiant Fountain did an impressive amount of work today.
I think I will sell. The funny thing is Amulet should spike even more than it will, but who is going to drop $70-80 on foil amulets with a banlist update looming in a month?
I'm sure that someone will. There are going to be people that think the deck will be left intact.

this is hard, if you really need the cards (tournaments) i would go for it since Cryptic and Clique were in MM and i doubt (but not 100% sure) they will be in MM2.
mmm the cryptic command promo seem a safe investment, but really not sure on the clique.
Is now a good time to buy Voice of Resurgences? They fell to 13€ a feew weeks back, but are almost at 18€ right now. Is there any chance of them dropping again or will they just keep on rising?
Also I opened a foil Flooded Strand recently. How long should it take for it to rise in price? More than 1 year? Will it even rise?
Foiled value rares like flooded strand will always see a rise in value, althou how long i am not sure. Remember to keep it in a perfect size sleeve (eg: KMC perfect fits) and then into a normal sleeve to keep it from warping. =)

The point whit Clique its always was a expensive card, then reprinted on a judge promo the price not down, then reprinted on MM1 but as mythic-rare so the price dont down much
Wizards seems dont want the price go donw since reprinted as mythic in a small set, if the want to down price reprinted as rare in a big set like Theros
The next time Clique is reprinted will be like mythic too so price dont go down much
Thats my opinion
But whit cryptics im not convencied

Meh, Wotc looks at the effect on Standard and availability in Modern. I could see LotV in either Origins or MM2015. With the new rotation schedule for Standard, Wotc doesnt have to worry quite as much about effecting a format for a long time.

She can't be in MM2015, Innistrad block isn't in the set.
You are correct, thought it stopped at Inn, but it stops before.
Is it a good time to stock up on Sword of the Meek with a possible unban in March? And if it's unbanned will it retain it's new value/playablity or will it dip like Grave Troll?
Is it a good time to stock up on Sword of the Meek with a possible unban in March?
If you have reason to believe that Sword of the Meek will be unbanned, then now is a pretty good time to stock up. You always want to stock up before the speculators do, which is typically a week or two in advance of the ban list update. That said, it's certainly not a given that Sword of the Meek will be unbanned.
And if it's unbanned will it retain it's new value/playablity or will it dip like Grave Troll?
All of the unbanned cards spike and then dip. In the case of GGT, that card is still more expensive than it's been in a very long time, if not ever. It's somewhat surprising, because the card is useless without Dread Return.
