What are people's thoughts on Chalice of the Void? To finish the deck I'm building, I need 4 and stupid me didn't buy them like I was going to about a month ago.
I highly doubt that the fetchlands will move up in price until they stop being drafted, which is when Dragons of Tarkir comes out in March. Granted, I would not be surprised to see them stay pretty close to their current price, but I don't think there is a need to buy them right now either, as opposed to waiting a few more weeks.
i think this is the right way to see the fetchlands thing. they will probably stick to this low price for a while now, so there will be no hurry at least untile february. the only things i would buy NOW, is dig through time since it will have a spike is cruise will be banned, and FOIL fetchlands, which will never never never be at this price again and will surely go up before the regular ones.
I think my comment holds true for all of the cards in Khans. Remember, when Fate Reforged comes out we'll be drafting 2x Khans after 1x Fate. This is still a lot of packs for another 2 months. It's possible Dig will spike a bit if TC gets banned, but even so I don't see it getting much higher than it currently is....
I personally don't see Cruise being banned, even though I can see why people would want it to be banned. But if next banlists comes and it is there, how much of a spike would we be seeing for the card?
Probably not a very big one. Despite all the fear mongering about the delve card draw spells, they are far from interchangeable. Simply switching from TC to DTT in Delver is not a good idea, DTT plays much better in a less aggression-minded deck. Whether DTT will be as abused as TC is then a question of whether a more control-oriented Delver deck would be as strong as the current aggro versions.
It's also possible that powering down aggro Delver will open an opportunity for some other control deck to break out. I find this unlikely without any additional unbans, but it's a possibility that would also increase DTT demand. Either way, an absolutely massive amount of Khans has been and will continue to be opened so the supply isn't drying up anytime soon. Price will likely begin to rise at some point, but I can't see it spiking within the next year without a serious format shake-up.

UR Delver with 4 Snapcasters and 4 Digs is very good. It plays as less of an aggro deck and more of a control deck. Plus, what you lose in card count you make up for in additional Snapcaster+Lightning Bolt plays.
If Treasure Cruise isn't banned I expect many cards to get unbanned because they generate nowhere near the advantage of cruise and in some cases counteract it Deathrite Shaman.
The fact that Choke is shooting up in price is an blatant sign that blue card advantage is out of control. People wouldn't be scrambling to get such a specific hate card if the metagame wasn't warped.

Holy crap, just saw it's new price. I'm so glad I have some in my bulk pile!
But I would trade/sell now. No way it stays the current price even if Cruise stays legal, which it won't.

Will Ugin, the Spirit Dragon affect Karn Liberated's price? I can see myself cutting an Oblivion Stone and a Wurmcoil Engine to add 2 to RG Tron.
How would it affect Karn Liberated's price? It doesn't replace Karn at all; it replaces other cards in the deck. I mean, just look at the changes you're considering making: You're not dropping Karn to play Ugin, you're dropping other cards. Ugin's a supplement, not a replacement, for Karn.
If it has any effect on Karn's price, it would be to increase it because it could drive more people to play Tron, thereby upping Karn's price.

You make a good point that more people will play tron and Karn could go up because of that. But with Ugin being a good candidate for tron it isn't unreasonable to think it could replace cards in the deck. I mean drawing multiple Karns isn't really a bad thing most of the time but dropping an Ugin can take over a game just as easy. I think he will have a very intimidating board presence, maybe more so than wurmcoil engine. Even if you have to wait another turn.
the new annuncement about KTK fetch lands to be in fate reforged booster packs will help to keep their prices low for more than we originally thought. it will probably lower even more the prices, and due to the fact SO MANY boosters will be opened, it will probably affect their price even in a very long time range. I am starting to think that hoarding on fetches will not have a big return even in the future. this is gonna a be a set so wide opened that they will keep a low prices basically from here to forever.
They did the same thing with Shocklands in Dragon's Maze. While most are still in the $9-$12 range, some are starting to slowly go up. Steam Vents, for example, is widely played. When RTR block rotated out everybody said to buy into Shocks. I assume the same will hold true for the Fetches. Even moreso, in fact, because they are played in Vintage and Legacy where Shocks are not.
If Treasure Cruise isn't banned I expect many cards to get unbanned because they generate nowhere near the advantage of cruise and in some cases counteract it Deathrite Shaman.

Choke is sideboarded against Scapeshift, arguably the best combo deck right now, plus Twin and Ascendancy. Delver can easily play off mountains and sulfur falls, and burn only needs 1 blue mana each game.
What I mean is, Treasure Cruise is not why Choke hiked in prize, DTT is.
Delver decks play at most 3 mountains/fulls together. You never want to keep a hand with just a falls or just a mountain. Delver decks are very vulnerable to Choke actually.
Against Burn, boarding in Choke is plain stupidity.
Value is good. But Dredgevine isn't supposed to be about value. It's supposed to be about V-8; 2000 pounds of nitro boosted war vegetables. The more velocity, the better.

Im just wondering should I wait on picking up the fetches? and should I pickup a playset of Deathrites, as in should we expect TC to stay unbanned?
This is a great time to pick up DRS, because he's not coming off the Modern banlist any time soon and he isn't seeing substantial Legacy play. Just don't expect to play DRS in Modern any time soon...
As for fetches, these are definitely going to keep going down with addition FRF printings and the continued KTK openings. And if they get released yet again in the Spring set, they will go down even further.

One thing, KTK and the last set wont be played together in limited so I doubt we see the fetches in the 3rd set. I would say fetches bottom out around $15 on the high side, $12ish on the bottom, depending on what colors they fetch for. Once they are out of print they should level off for a bit and start creeping up again.
Id just wait on Zen fetches there is plenty of evidence to say they will be in DTK *and considering some are still rather expensive looking at you Scalding Tarn Id say the wait is worth it* As for normal fetches Flooded Strand and Polluted Delta will probably settle down a few bucks. Fate Reforged will do well at keeping those down in price.
