Why is bitterblossam still 30$? is it just due to morningtide not being opened a lot along with shadowmoor back in the day along with being a chase rare?
I know many people who hoarded BBs while they were banned in hopes to make big money. Some of those people still are holding on to large amounts of the card. Add in the fact the set was not opened a lot and price memory, BB will be at the $30 mark or better for some time. Unless it gets reprinted in the future.
Thank you for letting me know. I was thinking of the new FOIL fetches as my new chase cards. I saw that FOIL Polluted Delta went down a bit. I'm hoping it drops a bit more before going after that one and the others.
Fetches will always go up in price. Right now people are opening a crazy amount of Khans. Once the set is a few years old, the fetches will still be desirable for eternal formats but people won't be opening packs of Khans any more. Picking up fetches is one of the best investments you can make, IMO.
What does everyone think of investing in Eidolon of the Great Revel? It is a card that must be answered in Modern. I don't believe it is played in other formats other than Standard. It is powerful and possesses potential that reminds me of Linvala, Keeper of Silence. And that card has shot up in value in recent years. Am I off?

I think it sees some play in Legacy Burn as well. I believe this is a perfect example of a card that you can pick up at or just after rotation for value.
The thing about Eidolon of the Great Revel is that it doesn't have any protection. It can be targeted. It'll most likely cost a player 2 life, but it will get answered. The fun part would be to play 4 of this little eidolon and have multiple copies on the board. I guess I will have to look at the banlist thread to see what the argument is exactly for it to be banned.
On a related note, delve cards like Dig Through Time seem to work nicely with the eidolon. Is Dig a card that I should invest in? Like a fool, I just traded my FOIL copy in for store credit, but now am thinking that it can only go up.
Eidolon of the Great Revel is a pretty bonkers good card. It does see cross format play but only in specific strategies. I have no doubt it will rise over time (barring bannings or reprints) but I'm not sure it will skyrocket. Dig Through Time would be a decent investment as I'm sure it will rise - especially if Treasure Cruise gets banned (which is a real possibility). DTT also sees quite a bit of cross format play too. My best advise, if you're looking to invest seriously, is to pick up Fetches. Foil, regular, whatever... just get as many as you can while they're in print. They will go up, probably nowhere near as much as they were, but they will go up. Focus on getting the Blue ones though, they're the most desirable.
I appreciate your advice. FOIL fetches are my plan. I still think I will invest in at least 1-2 Eidolon of the Great Revels. I don't think it will be reprinted. Being such an unique design as an enchantment creature makes that unlikely in most scenarios. I suppose it could get banned, but I am willing to take that chance. With DTT, giving up my FOIL copy for store credit like a fool was disheartening enough for me to move on to other options.
Is it worth to buy full playsets of Eldrazis (Emrakul, Kozilek, Ulamog), or getting a 1 of each will be fine? They are quite expensive, and I haven't seen a deck running more than one of each.
Ahahahahah, Forked Bolt now money uncommon.
I don't see that lasting. I play Forked Bolt almost religiously but I suspect the spike is because of GOTTA BEAT DELVER SOMEHOW.
I can totally ditch half my playset. Only the most insane people play more than 2 at a time.
I am ignorant for the most part about what fetches are played the most so I have to ask: How do you know exactly? I thought Polluted or Scalding Tarn were played the most. I just don't know for sure. How do you figure this kind of thing out?

People tend to frown on mtg top 8 data here, but if you go to their site, the list card frequencies across a meta. According to mtg top8, Scalding tarn is the most played fetch in modern.

Every time I read a comment about "Well if this card had card draw/trample/haste/indestructible/hexproof/life gain...", I think "You're missing the point." They're armchair developer comments that fail to take into account the card's role in the greater Limited and Standard environment. No, it may not be as good as whatever card you're comparing it to. There's a reason for that. Not every burn spell is Lightning Bolt, nor does it need to be or should be.

Thanks for the clarification. The MtG Top 8 site seems like an excellent resource. I've been looking in various sites at essentially the same data. It's nice to see one site that can serve as a place of reference. Thanks again!
If you see the trends, especially with Cruise and Swiftspear making an impact into eternal formats, Strands has been creeping up. People wanting to wedge in Izzet with white, definitely needs Flooded Strand.
Tarn is on a high, not doubting that. But strand is trending up for sure.
Also, when we talk fetches, we need to include the impact made from Legacy as well.
As I previously said, Strand is played in all formats. We have KtK in standard don't we?
The Future Sight lands are unique and difficult to reprint. The only reprint I could see is pre-built decks (duel deck, event deck, etc) or if they decide to print a full 10 land cycle using the mechanic (like they did with Graven Cairns). A full cycle for Nimbus Maze would be more likely, followed by River of Tears. Horizon Canopy and Grove of the Burnwillows are very strong and unlikely to see a full cycle.

Not necessarily all at once; Could easily do Five To-The-Left (White to Blue, Blue to Black, Black to Red, so on) Five to the Right (White to Green), and then enemy colors.
Would still be 20 cards, but I think they want more mana fixing for Modern anyway, and it's more lands people need to buy to be competitive in Standard. Win win for them.
Why is Daybreak Coronet $30-$40? What other deck uses it except Bogles?

True, it would be 20. And that would be bad to print in a single 2 set block as rares. Probably won't happen.

I think it is just Bogles, but that deck is a big deal now and FS cards are not exactly easy to find in the first place. low supply, high demand
