Matt Tabak, the rules guy, already confirmed this is true on twitter. Ancestral Vision spike incoming? Will it go to $90?
I don't know, but I've been meaning to buy Visions for awhile. I had a bit of money in my speculation budget, that was going to go to a playset of JTMS. Instead it's going to Visions because I'm not going to risk it. It checks all the boxes for a potential spike, and probably a sustained price until a reprint.

I'd put odds on that it will.

It all depends on how desperate U players are to jump on new hype trains. We've floated from mediocre pile to mediocre pile for about a year and a half now. Every time something new and promising emerges, players flock to it and prices spike. Then it puts up bland results and lackluster performances week after week and the prices slowly come down. When a new hype card is printed, the cycle repeats again.
Probably those who already own an Emeria deck would try him out. Gideon can be recurred with Sun Titan... Emeria recurs Sun Titan. I would be pre-ordering the Gideon to try out as a 1 or 2 in the deck. Just hoping he doesn't come with an insane pre-order price tag. I would bite as long as he isn't above 5 dollars.
Good luck on that one. I doubt the future standard all star is going to drop below 20 anytime soon, given how back breaking having 3 standard legal Gideon is and not a whole lot of ways to deal with him.
I got a feeling you should be able to pick up Ally of zendikar for cheap relatively soon, though.
That is true.
This new Gideon will keep at least 20 as long as he is Standard legal. Actually, his pre-order price is 35-40 now.
Ah, worth that much already? I guess the new Gideon is out of my reach for awhile. Will have to wait for him to drop to 20 something in price.
For now, I will just use the extra money to buy more khans fetch lands that I need.

Don't worry, his price will go down to the 20s later it's just that the set is being spoiled right now and we are in pre-order season, which is basically composed of singles sellers baiting up the traps. You should see some of the comments on TCGplayer: There was one guy who thinks Gideon of the Trials would make 90 usd in standard. I'm mostly face palming at that, but that is the kind of person that does pre-orders.

I feel like pre-order season is a never ending struggle of damage control trying to stop people from making stupid decisions on pre-ordering over priced singles. It's like no one thinks about what they are going to do with the darn card, they just see a shiny playable card and are like "oh! super OP planeswalker!" with zero deck building or thought going into that assessment. How many Chandra, Torch of Defiance incidents is it going to take?
You have to stretch your timeline back more. This is the JTMS effect still. Gotta get in at 20, 30, 40 before it's 100.

And then you have Narset Transcendent that presold for something like $60, dropped to $30 upon release, and was under $10 before the next set was out. It sat for more than a year between $6-8, and even after her recent hype spike thanks to Push making Esper better, she's still readily available under $12.

Thanks, that's reassuring. I guess it's mostly the pre-release hype that's driving his price up. I do remember that Gideon Jura was crazy expensive when it first came out, but slowly settled to more reasonable prices. In your opinion, what's the right time to buy Gideon of the Trials? In the 20's or wait to settle lower like 13-15 each?
1) Do you think MM3 Blood Moons will go under 20 bucks each? What do you think it will be it's final price by, let's say, November or December(Yes it can be found lower, but in my area there's not a lot so i'm pretty fine with paying 20 at CFB)
2) What's up with BFZ expeditions? I've been following Polluted Delta and has been dropping pretty steady. They went from 260 to 180 within the last year.

TCG Player has 5+ pages of copies under $20: http://shop.tcgplayer.com/magic/modern-masters-2017/blood-moon
eBay also has many under $20: http://www.ebay.com/sch/i.html?_from=R40&_sacat=0&LH_BIN=1&_nkw=blood moon mtg&_sop=15
I think "around $20" is where it will stay for a while. It's definitely good AGAINST most of the top decks right now, but none of those top decks are actually running it themselves. In fact, none of the top 16 decks currently listed on MTG Goldfish run Blood Moon at all. So while Blood Moon is excellent in theory, it doesn't have a "good" deck to call home right now, so demand is down. I'm personally taking FULL advantage of this by picking up foil copies. Foil Blood Moons used to be $100 or more, and you can get MM3 copies RIGHT NOW for around $35. This price structure will probably hold as long as there isn't large demand from top decks to actually PLAY Blood Moon, but literally anything could change with any set release or B&R announcement. If you want to pick them up, there's no time like right now.
2)
Expeditions across the board are not holding value. They're no longer "special" since something like them will be included in EVERY set moving forward. I personally bought into a few of the shock lands to use, but they have all lost value compared to what I paid. Demand just isn't there to keep the prices up, or there's an abundance of supply.

The trouble with planes walkers and why sellers always set the prices so high on pre-orders is that they are the most complex cards in all of magic. It's very hard to assess them on terms of play, so they mostly rely on the wow factor and hype to drive them.
The price will be at its lowest stable point about a week before spoilers come for hour of devastation as people will want to see how that set changes standard. Otherwise be ready to wait a very long time.

Thank for the reply. I don't live in the US so i can't use those pages but CFB has copies at 20 so i'll definetly pull the trigger on those, specially since i wanna play them.
Having such a unique ability makes it very likely to skyrocket if it gets used in a top deck.
Blood Moon is most often used to give a tierless deck a foothold against tiered decks. As such, it can wreck game 1, but any tiered deck has an answer in the sideboard. It takes a bit more to snag game 2 and/or 3.

Absolutely agree. Price memory is a real phenomenon and Blood Moon is simply a classic; I too have been snatching up cheap foils here and there. Even though I bought it about a week ago when they were ~$38, but that's still an amazing value for foil copies of a card which will regain its value sooner or later. I've been pleasantly surprised that the MM17 printings have driven down other printings as well; I've been waiting for an opportunity to pick up a set of the 8th edition Moons and now is looking like a prime opportunity.
Many websites have Mishra's Bauble for many different prices. TCGplayer has it as marketplace and medium price of $50 but has stores selling it for $40. SCG has it at $50. Mtgstocks has the Low at $40 and Medium at $50. eBay has sold listings for 4 Mishra's Bauble anywhere from $140-$155.
What is the best amount to sell Mishra's Bauble for on eBay given these price discrepancies? What is the cost of Mishra's Bauble?

If you're selling on eBay, always structure your prices around whatever the lowest current Buy It Now price is. eBay is very cutthroat and if it's not the lowest (or very near the lowest) it's unlikely it will sell. The current floor is $35, which means if you list copies at $40, they will not sell until all the cheaper copies are gone.
TCG Mid price and retailer seller price is always 10-20% higher than you will ever actually get when selling privately.
So recently I was able to pick up 2 foil dark confidants for 50 each, would you guys say it was worth picking up now or should I have waited a bit longer to grab them?
Is there a best website for selling cards? What sites do people commonly use to sell cards? What are some sites to avoid who selling?
For selling in bulk to a store, CFB is ok. I don't do it that often so don't know really. For selling singles to individuals, eBay is probably your best bet. If you're going to do a lot of it then it may be worth setting yourself up on TCGPlayer.com.
facebook is a great place. many people are looking for things they do not list, like commons and uncommons.
Your area likely has a fb page, may even have one dedicated to selling.
