It's been a thing for a while, you cheat out Griselbrand (or Emrakul) and go to town.
Preferably with Gris, because you just try to draw into copies of Fury of the Horde while swinging with Gris to hopefully draw into more copies of Fury, doing this as much as possible until you kill your opponent.
Problem's been that it's the definitive glass cannon deck of Modern. It either works really really well, or it craps itself trying.
How many times should this happen before Goryo's Vengeance is banned?
The deck would need to be top tier and consistent for it to warrant a ban, and with only a half dozen Griselbrands on MTGO in the past three months, I don't think it's a top tier deck. The big advantage of the Fist version that might push it over the top is it gives the deck a better midgame win route that circumvents graveyard hate. That said, the deck has a ridiculously fragile manabase, but Modern just lacks the means to punish that kind of manabase. I'm overall unconcerned with the deck and it is unlikely to even make T16 on day 2, even if I like the deck a lot and very much enjoy watching/playing it.
So I hear combo's on the rise today.
This pleases me, my combo-loving sensibilities, and my not-so-secret desire to force a UB list through successfully to show those UWR jokers how to really drag a game down.

That sounds,,, awesome...
Does it look solid or surprise factor winning?
It looks pretty good, but its manabase is understandably horrible, so anything with Blood Moon automatically beats it.
Storm Crow is strictly worse than Seacoast Drake.
Not so fast. Through the Breach would still let you win potentially through blood moon.
Does it still play Through the Breach? I thought that it was playing Fist instead.

No americans?
How!?! I looked at it 2 hours ago and it was $5 on the high end. That is ridiculous.

Password is MTGSAL
IIRC it runs Fury of the Horde and Goyo's Vengence
that was Turn 2 EMRAKUL.
You could just look in the subforums. There is a thread in the Established section.

It isn't a consistent deck. It won't be banned. People acted like this when it made Top 16 a while back. It is not banworthy.

It aint. Unlike eggs, which was more consistant and it had time issues.

Agreed, except replacing UB with WU.
Storm Crow is strictly worse than Seacoast Drake.
Who knows, it could be both.
Or Esper.
Or just something that can competently durdle and disrupt.
It sure as hell doesn't sound like the kind of environment that UWR best answers.
Unless if we get a bunch of creature combos like Pod and Twin.

fist is up 1.6
Maybe the announcers should not keep shouting "Buy it, buy it!"
It has had a perfect Day 1 record before (GP Brisbane) but then didn't even make T16.
Good point!
