Love my White Control deck. Martyr of Sands, Wall of Omens, Wrath of God, Oblivion Ring, Path to Exile, Solemn Simulacrum, Baneslayer Angel, Sun Titan, and 4 Emeria, the Sky Ruin.

Things WotC cares about:
-making certain Standard cards can be played in Modern, therefore increasing their value and increasing WotC's profit margin
Things WotC does not care about:
-keeping the ban list as short as possible
-taking chances with an entire format for the benefit of a single card
-catering to play styles that newer players generally don't like and will lose them more players than it will gain
-keeping the meta balanced between archetypes/colors/whatever
-keeping cards on the secondary market cheap (available yes, but not cheap)
-keeping the meta diverse (as long as a single deck doesn't threaten the popularity of the format)
Wildfire when your opponent's entire board is 4 or less lands and multiple x/4 or less creatures, literally wiping them clean of all permanents. Yeah, that'll do it, that'll cause some ragequit.
Turn 3 Karn is worse... lots of decks play SOME mountains but Karn on turn 3 is like a 90% win rate or better against almost any deck. Karn is just beastly

If someone lets you achieve a turn 3 Karn, they deserve whatever wrath they feel, lol. Especially after sideboard.

I was playing in a PTQ and playing Bogle against RG tron. I win game one, he wins game 2, I side in suppression field game 3. I turn 2 field and he turn 3s Karn. Tries to activate Karn after tapping out. I point to field and he says it doesnt effect planeswalkers. I call a judge and the judge tells him it does. The guy scoops and storms out of the event.

Mono black discard or U/B Mill are pretty infuriating. There is a mono black player in my meta that plays all the annoying discard and extraction cards.
Also Ensnaring Bridge makes me rage when playing hatebears.

"No one may threaten or commit violence ('aggress') against another man's person or property. Violence may be employed only against the man who commits such violence; that is, only defensively against the aggressive violence of another. In short, no violence may be employed against a nonaggressor. Here is the fundamental rule from which can be deduced the entire corpus of libertarian theory." - Murray Rothbard, Cited from "War, Peace, and the State"
does that see any play, maybe in boggles against something with a lot of fetches?
I play root maze in one of my decks and have people quit on MTGO. Mostly because shock lands will still let you pay two life, but still will be tapped.

After getting shocked for no gain they quit.
LOOOLLL hahaha that ought to be great....
People rage a lot when you are on the play and they play a dude and then you untap and Smallpox. It's pretty sweet... The other day I Smallpoxed a Bogle deck that went turn 1 Dryad Arbor, turn 2 land, double aura on the dryad, yup, board wipe, lands included... Plus the discard
I usually only get pissed when I'm playing a two color deck and get Iona'd - and then proceed to draw only cards in that color.

Be a lemming hunter. Don't be a lemming. Really, all you had to do was explain to him the popularity metric, not give him the lemming hunter manifesto...
I don't really see anything rage inducing about blood moon. If I don't have what it takes to handle it in hand or on board when it comes out I will most likely fold, but what is there to rage at?
That is how I would deal with it too (if I don't have outs), but many less mature players refuse to concede and spend the whole time raging at you. (That's in a social game, in a tournament anything goes).
Same goes for turn 2 Stone Rain, turn 3 Molten Rain, or turn 3 Plow Under. Oh I love Plow Under for tears - it's the Magic equivalent of kicking someone in the nuts, then setting their cat on fire.

And if you Plow Under into Persecute it's the equivalent of kicking someone in the cat, then setting their nuts on fire.

If you want it to be even more annoying, add Trinisphere, Storage Matrix, Boom // Bust, Ensnaring Bridge, and Chalice of the Void. Then add Simian Spirit Guides so you can play them on turn 1-2.
Edit: Also have Suppression Field and Leyline of Sanctity in the sideboard.
Storm Crow is strictly worse than Seacoast Drake.

Those are the moments I play Magic for, lol.
What about root maze
does that see any play, maybe in boggles against something with a lot of fetches?
It saw some play in the Amulet of Vigor/Karoo land deck for a while. Amulet of Vigor untaps all of your stuff and your opponents just get to cry.
Also Ensnaring Bridge makes me rage when playing hatebears.
No Qasali Pridemages in there?

Second only to Blood Moon in generating tears. And so strong against Fetch - Shock - DRS openings, especially when you play a turn 3 Tarmogoyf.
Tron's maindeck relics of progenitus are also pretty baller, I hear.
