We are not going to get close to 64...

We'd almost have to move to swiss at that point to not have people basically have to play just one game to get into the finals.

there would be a ton of byes. Swise is too hard to pull off in a casual way online. Double elem is even pushing it time wise, and last I checked we were 5 to 4 for keeping it single elem.

Fair enough.

And really yeah lets just keep it single elim it's so much simpler and we wouldn't be rushed.

Actually, I've been thinking about this a lot lately. How do you do it, lantern? It's actually kind of bothering me. Not only the randomness of byes, but the randomness of the whole bracket.

You say that if someone beats Dodito in the top 8, they get a point, but if you look at the bracket only a select eighth of the people in the tournament would even get a chance to play vs. Dodito. It doesn't seem fair to me. I mean, it's not relevant now, as Dodito is out, but it was disturbing when I first heard the idea. I'd like to purpose that this idea gets abolished for future IQs.

Oh no. The extra point is when a previous invite wins again, thats when one point are given to 5-9 as an incentive bonus.

I use http://mtgarena.appspot.com/ to randomize seats, though the new one I'm using is got a randomize seats option already.

Why not just have a bunch of byes if we get over 32, as planned?

Randomly having to play round 1 would suck, but it's not a huge deal.

I assume that we're not going to be using M13 for this one since there's almost 40 cards still missing. Anyway, I was missed the first time I signed up, so here it is again:

I am betting the set will be available within the next few days on Cockatrice. If it is, I think we should definitely allow it.

I really do want to allow it, but again timing, lets what to start the deck list send ins until the 3rd or the 4th. Dead line is still the 7th.

So its tomorrow or nothing, then? Well, i almost have a decklist, but if m13 is allowed i may need to change it.
