I have gotten curious. A number of fair criticisms have come up about the banned list, and people not feeling safe with their decks. This is not a banned list discussion. I repeat, no talking about the banned list allowed, except to say what got banned.
I had storm built, but once preordain was banned, I dropped the deck. No way was I playing with serum visions.
So how many decks have you built, and then dismantled due to the banned list? Which cards convinced you it was dead? Which decks where they?
Oh yeah, and no discussing the banned list.
Sorry for being so blunt with the no banned list discussion, but I don't want the thread to go off topic, and this kind of thread can very easily do so.
You mention no ban list discussion about 8 times in a thread you created to discuss the ban list. Warning for ban list discussion outside of official thread. t_c
I've paid attention to Modern since the beginning, so I've not only had to dismantle UR Storm (loses to aggro pre-board too often now) but also 12-Post. Although I heard of Infect Shoal, the deck lasted too short before it got banned, so I never could try it out.
This question is phrased wrong. It should be worded "How many decks have you decided to stop playing because one or two cards in them were banned." The decks themselves are still perfectly operational. Just not competitive. And so you as a player chose not to play them.
The question as worded is leading and incites ranting and general negativity.
For me? 12-post is my only ban. I still play it casually though. It enables so much ridiculous stuff that isn't broken. I personally feel storm was nerfed too hard. Hopefully they'll release a another red ramp spell intermediate in power soon to bring it back to life.

I switch decks like crazy to begin with, so I haven't really been hit with anything. The closest would be Jund, as I was considering it for a PTQ when the bans came though. Expensive car repairs made me have to skip the PTQ anyway, but post bannings I was thinking I was going to run Burn for that event. Thats more about positioning than thinking Jund was bad though.
All the cards I have for Jund other than $10 in bloodbraid elves is still good in Modern, so I didn't really lose anything. $10 is easily within the margins of market fluctuations I ignore anyway. If I had another PTQ to go to, I would consider Jund just as much of an option as I did before.

I support WotC's goal of shaping Modern in favor of diversity.
I ran a thought experiment on my blog Modern in a Nuclear Wasteland
of an extreme case of banning 20 more cards to make sure they get everything, then scaling back where appropriate. WotC seems to be on a slowly build up approach. Both ways probably reach similar end points.
The post Gatecrash metagame is proving to be closer to the endpoint than I estimated, so its very possible that few (if any) more cards need to be banned.
After the format was announced, before the ban list was finalized.
-Blade Control (SFM, Ancestral Visions)
-Valakut (GSZ, Valakut)
-Maverick (GSZ)
-Thopterbalance (SDT, Sword of the Meek)
I've had the good fortune to not have been playing magic long enough to have any of my decks be hit by bannings, unless you count my little Storm sideproject that used Infernal Plunge, Memnites and Ornithopters
Like Lectrys I've been playing modern since the beginning (and slightly before when it was "overextended". I've had to drop
Goyfless Naya- Nactyl was a blow but BBE was the killing strike
Storm- I gave up on the deck after Rite of Flame and Preordain/Ponder ban
12 Post- Switched to tron for awhile but didn't like the deck much
Infect- Without shoal I don't think infect has enough (BUG and Ug infect are cool but shoal was awesome)
With the exception of Zoo, my pet decks haven't been affected by bannings. I never stopped playing Zoo when Nacatl/GSZ was banned; I just didn't expect to get pre-ban results out of it. Just not the kind of player who goes to the top decks in the format regardless of how unfair they are just to win, win, win. If I were to consistently play decks that do obviously unfair things (consistent t2/t3 wins for example) or put up consistently crazy results, I sure as hell wouldn't cry or stop playing them when they were banned. It would seem to be expected..
EDIT: Almost forgot about 12-post. That deck was so busted, I'm pretty happy it got banned to oblivion. And I definitely did have a Mono-G 12post list that I ran for a while prior to Modern's official beginnings. Yes, technically I had to stop playing that deck, because the deck can't exist anymore.
None, as that's a far to narrow view of how I select decks to play. Each tournament has a different metagame and I play to that.
Have I had to adjust to bannings in a significant way? Sure. I loved playing GSZ in every green deck, and Ponder/Preordain made my Twin deck crazy. I still love my tribal Zoo deck, as it was still good without Nacatl, but I held off until Gatecrash as I felt the loss of GSZ hurt my chances against combo too much.
On the other side of the coin I wouldn't be playing Modern today if they hadn't banned Cloudpost and Blazing Shoal. So in a way I'm in the negatives for decks I'm not playing due to bannings.
I had Jund mostly built. I just play Junk now, though. I think I actually like it better.
I guess you could say I had one and a half decks banned, though, because I was really stoked about Zoo when I was starting to get back into playing (I stopped playing after Urza block, then picked it back up again a few years ago), but I only got part way through building the deck before Nacatl/GSZ got the axe.
(I also would have loved to play with GSZ. Like, really, really loved it).
Faeries - I was looking forward to playing the format until they announced the new B&R list when they changed the format for PT: Philly in 2011 and Jace TMS, Ancestral Vision, AND Bitterblossom got the axe. I'm fine with the first two (for power reasons), but Bitterblossom was the last straw for that deck.
One - I played Pauper Infect. Without Invigorate it is not competitive.

This is not how bans/unbans work. Its always the enabler that gets the ban, not the card that is being abused. If you would have Yawgmoths will + whatever cards - it would be Yawgs that would be banned. If you would have Stoneforge and batterskull - it would be stone who would be banned and that is exactly how it works. Furthermore, banning a card in order to unban a different card is a thought process that was and wont be never applied in practical means.
I haven't really stopped playing the deck fully, but you could say that I've grown weary of playing my Jund deck without BBE since she was the center of the deck's cool factor and drew me to the deck in the first place (Not someone who picked up Jund just because it was the best deck post-RtR; was working on building it before Deathrite Shaman came out). The only reason I'm still playing it is because it's the only deck I can build right now but I'll probably build another deck soon or just stop playing modern till I see what happens with the banlist when Dragon's Maze gets released. So for me one deck you could say. Though, they pre-emptively killed storm for me since that was the next deck I was planning on building before they put the final nail in the coffin for it.
I shelled out for everything short of fetches and shocks for U/R storm. After Ponder/Preordain/Rite of Flame was banned I was kind of dissuaded but now that Seething song is gone I really have no interest.
Some of these decks I can understand why you would stop playing them such as Storm! Or even Zoo I can relate although if Zoo players have seen, the deck is making a comback without Nacti.
On the other hand for those who stopped playing Jund over BBE, really? If you feel you need to scrap that deck its your own loss. The deck can be played without BBE just fine. An if you look at it this way, maybe you lost BBE but you gained Abrupt Decay and Deathrite Shamn. Ill take that trade!
I had a 4 color deck I called Build-a-Bear that clogged the board with answers and dredge until it dropped a Runechanter's Pike for 13 or so on the midrange creatures I threw in. Without BBE, I couldn't bring the pain often enough, the deck really needed to have as many removal spells as threats to work.

Elf Combo - Was still decent with the banning of Glimpse of Nature but became unplayable after Green Sun's Zenith was banned.
Zoo - Banning of Wild Nacatl makes this a hard deck to ever really want to play anymore.
Naya Junk - Ws a rogue deck of mine that was decent at containing Zoo, but lost a lot of incentive to play it with the loss of Punishing Fire.
Storm - Rite of Flame made the deck a lot less consistent, but banning Seething Song made it unplayable.
12-post - Cloudpost being banned obviously killed this deck although I have moved to Tron variants.
