War Falcon decks have been placing in the Dailies, and yes Attended Knight is a good fit in those decks. Some opponents will attempt/be able to remove your Falcon-supporting creatures with spot removal, but Attended Knight develops your board while also making that plan extremely less viable.
I like the war falcon deck because you cut the 3/4 drops and can actually keep some 1 land hands so you mulligan less. I'm guessing the falcon gives you a slightly faster clock vs izzet post which is welcome.
I have been satisfied with the attended knight (only have 2), as it's great vs those single target removal decks, and the first strike is very relevant with his two power.
How do you sideboard though? The sideboard is full of removal or non knights/soldiers creatures. If you remove some knights/soldiers do you also remove some falcons? How many knights/soldiers can you cut while still supporting 4 falcons? Most decks run 20-22 knights/soldiers.

My board is a bit different, I don't like seraph with 19 lands and this deck is more aggro, so seraph is pretty weak in the department. Then I have 8 various removal spells, and 7 dudes, 2/2 acolytes, 2 bearers and 1 suture priest.
i also like that this deck plays more 1 drops so it forces delver to tap out
currently 2-0 in this daily, beat delver and u/b
edit 2-1 now, just lost to green infect because i missed my 3rd land drop for the holy light 2 for 1
2-2'd, last opponent was delver, he had all the answers game 1, game 2 i mulled to 5 (first hand was too slow, 2nd hand was a 5 lander), and he 1 for 1'd me twice and i scooped
I've been trying out the new war falcon build and I also really like it. Having a T1 delver blocker is just sweet and it enables some much more aggressive starts - I did T1 falcon, T2 jav and falcon in one game, pretty sick. I'm also running attended knight over razor golem, not sure it's right but the knight is fairly sweet and doesn't die to the artifact removal that people often board in.
Something to note for sideboard choices is that blue/black is getting played a LOT more than mono black at the moment, which makes obsidian acolyte the better choice than rune of protection imo. Rune of protection is pretty useless vs blue back, but the obsidian acolyte is great in that matchup and still decent vs mono black, just not the auto-win that rune is.
Just went 3-1 again. How do you beat izzet post? Do they have to keep a garbage hand or something? I've mulligan'd to 6 so i can find 2 power guys and i'm still not fast enough. The one time I did win a match against izzet post was because I timed the guy out, he was really slow, and I played the games out.
Still liking war falcon. Like I said he lets you keep some 1 land hands (in which you have 2+ soldier 1 drops).
I haven't played the mirror yet. I've played in 3 dailies and many practice games and haven't seen a mono white player. I'm assuming the war falcon deck will lose to the golem/guardian deck? What are the key cards? Kor Skyfisher and prismatic strands and the aforementioned guardian/golem?
re: UR post - my (admittedly limited) experience is the same as the matchups discussion in the primer. It's a horrible matchup that you shouldn't expect to win, barring you getting a nut draw or them getting a bad draw. As someone who mainly plays green stompy, which has a generally great matchup against UR post, I think the problem is two-fold. First WW is obviously slower than mono green. Realistically its goldfish clock is more like turns 4-5 rather than 3-4. Stompy can also win games quite easily off one land, so it can mulligan more aggressively than WW. And the second problem compounds the first, WW is much weaker to red removal than stompy (which can blank it with cheap pumps, vines, hunger and more undying/persist creatures). Plus stompy generally laughs at serrated arrows, whereas WW gets 3-for-1 ed.
Basically no aggro deck should ever beat UR post if it stabilises, and WW has much less chance of doing lethal damage before it stabilises than mono green.
Yeah I understand if they stabilize white weenie loses. I'm wondering what cards I want in my opening hand and what cards I need to play to win the game if they stumble.
i don't know what others do, but I find that trying to mulligan into the perfect hand (especially with a land light deck) is a recipe for disaster. If I get anything with a halfway acceptable mix of threats and land then I'll usually keep, and hope I can draw my way out, rather than taking a chance and starting a card or two down (at best).
Obviously you want war falcon into loyal cathar into kor skyfisher into bonesplitter into squadron hawks but, really, there's not much you can do to get that!
I've tried to upgrade some of the new cards from M13, but there's quite a few great cards that had to be pushed out. The sideboard took a huge beating, so does anyone have any suggestions to main/sideboard?
It feels like the versatility of the deck has changed (before it felt like a swiss army knife after board) and I'm not sure if I should focus it as a more aggressive linear strategy rather than what it was before.

It seems you rely on a lot of small creatures - why not add Guardians' Pledge, 1 or 2? I think 1 Cenn's Enlistment is a must in such deck, especially with 20 plains
I think Guardian's Pledge seems like a 2 of in the main seeing how the Hawks are putting a much better clock for WW now... If that's the case, which things should I swap around? I want to see maybe 1 more Attendant's Knight in the main now. I really like the ghetto Blade Splicer effect.

The war falcon improves your match ups against control and combo, since it's an efficient beater that gets under most counter magic when played on turn 1. But since you're cutting the 4 drops you're weaker to decks like affinity and tortured existence since you're not running sanctifiers. And you're not running guardian which is strong vs a lot of decks.
So war falcon improves your match ups in rounds 3-4, where you face more storm, u/r post and mono u, but probably weakens your match ups in rounds 1-2 where you can face any deck.
Chris Davis recently 4-0d with this super greedy deck.
It's interesting his only 3cc card main deck is prismatic strands, which you sometimes don't need till later in the game. I don't know if you need the steppes. The optimal time to cycle them is mid/late game, and you don't really want to get there with this deck of 1-2 drops. It also seems like you might want a land in the board, just so you can cast your dust to dust on turn 3 to wreck affinity or to have 3 mana for holy light against empty the warrens. And the deck has no outs to guardian of the guildpact. Though I guess he plans to race and fly over it with knight of sursi (instead of having attended knight or razor golem).
that deck's greedy but awesome :). No way would I play the steppes in an 18 land fast beat deck though, you want untapped mana at all costs and I can't see you getting any value from the cycling, you want the game to be over by the time that its relevant. I like that the deck is so land light that it can't even afford to play 4 bonesplitters. I'm not sure how much thought went into his sideboard, but dust to dust looks pretty average there, the deck's often not going to hit 3 land on turn 3, and it's only a marginally good card vs affinity anyway by the time it hits. I'd rather just stick to a beatdown plan vs affinity and focus the sideboard on stuff which will have a bigger impact.

That's me by the way! The videos for that DE should be up on mtgoacademy in a few days. Also, I did some playtesting with Chris' decklist and those are being posted to my youtube as we speak.
BTW, I noticed some versions of the "New Weenie" avoid inicluding Attended Knights or reduce their number and put like 2 in the SB. Maybe the CMC is a bit too intense for this deck, Razor Golem also dropped out
Yeah I have 2 in my deck, and it hasn't been great. It doesn't get to attack unless it has a bonesplitter. So it's a pretty defensive card. Though there was one time where my opponent was at one life, and we were both in top deck mode. I top decked the knight which meant he needed 2 spells to not die.
I think knight of sursi is probably better than attended knight in this deck. But if you have falcon(and 2 drop support) and knight in the opening hand, which do you play first?

I just got around to watching them. They were very nice.
So what did you think about that decklist, compared to the others that run more 3 drops? You swapped out a strands for a bonesplitter, any other changes you'd make? Did you like the steppes?

Hey Rickster. I've been playing around with Shyft4/Jumper's lists and analyzing them with some players I definitely respect.
As far as Shyft's main, I'd remove Knight of Sursi for something better (my initial impression is Porcelain Legionnaire). Knight of Sursi seems too slow and not useful enough when there's already 16 better fliers in the deck.
Now for the Steppes...I can't stand them. They mess up otherwise good opening hands or slow down your War Falcons for apparently no reason. The deck's mana should be oriented for the early game rather than the late game IMO. So yeah, I would definitely cut some or all of those.
Hey, I don't play this deck (yet,) but as an izzet post player i just surprisingly got my ass kicked by an odd list. With the exceptions of Knight of Sursi, squadron hawks, and the shade, every creature the deck played had a death trigger, like loyal cathar, doomed traveler, perilous myr, and safehold elite. Is this a type of build that's growing in popularity? I dunno how it would be against other decks, but it sure seemed to be worlds better against cloudpost. At that, I didn't have the best of draws, so who knows.

not really something I've seen posting showings for what that's worth
Yeah, the list seemed to be far grindier than what I was used to going up against, so from a control perspective it was a pain. Though it seems like it would be far worse in aggro MUs.
ajani's sunstriker is awesome, but MWA gets a ton of 2 drops so it probably won't see play...
war falcon has the best chance of sticking imo because there are a lot of soliders in the deck already
attended knight is great, but most often on turn 3 you'd rather play a razor golem
