So with the new schedule going up Pauper only gets tournaments on Friday, Saturday and Sunday. NO DAILY EVENTS!!! Not saying the sky is falling but this has me debating cashing out of MTGO, only reason I play MTGO is for pauper since it is dead locally.
How bad do you all think this will be for the community?

it's the same old story, wotc trying to force people to spend more.
pauper is out of DE so if you want to join them you now have to spend a lot more to get a standard/modern/block deck. too many people will move from pauper to one of these to play DE with a great loss for the community.
so they are moving pauper to a 7 rounds swiss event? in the weekend?! great idea, so to play pauper i have to bury me at home for half a day after a whole week of being in office/home 24h.
i love premier events but they cannot be the base for a format, they have to be a nice addition to join once in a while
Yeah after thinking it over I am selling my collection today, the best I can do is give MTGO the finger for screwing us over. The last 2 weeks I had been test playing RUG Tron for multiple hours each day and finally tweaked the deck to where I had a final version for the current meta and was waiting for Daily Events to come back. All for nothing though, if they make changes to the schedule and add pauper I might comeback; but I will bet even with the out cry of patrons it will go ignored.

If I were them I would suggest playing 8 mans too, I would get money.
Input: 8 players times 6tix/player = 48 tix
Output: (5 + 3 +2 +2 ) booster * 3.30tix/booster = 39.6 tix
Every time an 8 man fires I get 8.4$.
Actually, every time an event fires all the entry fees are your revenue (technically it is whenever tickets are purchased). An 8-man gives 6*8, a Daily at least 6*16, a 2-man 2*2.
WotC is in the business of converting dollars into packs.
Therefore it is solely the opportunity costs associated with offering certain daily events. Either they had to reduce the numbers for their server architecture, or they think people will do more drafting, or blow through more tickets losing 8-man round 1's and queuing up again instead of having to lose 2 games before dropping, or maybe they honestly think that matching online events with paper events more closely is actually important (god knows why).
Essentially 8-mans are only more profitable if people queue for them faster, but it is likely that there are more people that only play dailies so I really doubt this is the case.

I emailed my perspective using the link on the article and got a response (albeit one suggesting I play 8 mans, but hey, at least they read it).
Yep, their response to me was that Standard and Modern queues aren't leaving anytime soon. Not my favorite response, but it does prove that they are being read! So please people, emailing them is quick and they clearly read it.
THere's an interesting twitter discussion involving alex ullman and others on all of this. I think xMiMx (who has done a LOT of pauper grinding in the past) pretty much summed it up, if you'll excuse the typos:
Basicly Pauper has mainly became a grinder/begginer-to-infinite format. No gain for them and a loss in second marker tix.
Pauper IS still supported by WoTC. It has on-demand 2-person and new 8-person queues, which payout packs at what WoTC considers is the "fair" rate of 4tix/pack. That's more than many smaller/niche/online only formats can say. You have to remember that daily events are effectively subsidised by WoTC - Alex suggests that it's to the tune of 500tix per large daily event, given the reduced tix cost that packs are paid out in in these events. So you have to ask yourself where the financial incentive is for WoTC to subsidise the pauper format if you are asking for pauper dailies to return, and it becomes pretty tough to come up with a rational response to that question.
This strikes me as an odd decision, given how much of the value of throwback drafts is in the commons, and WotC undoubtedly want their throwback drafts to pull in money.
If Daze falls to $5 tomorrow, Masques block drafts would lose as many players as they would if the draft cost an additional dollar.

Totally off topic and I apologies for that, but pertaining to your sig. I agreed when I saw this for voice however when it comes to scy lands, what eternal formats are they played in? I haven't seen them show up in modern, I don't play legacy but it seems like fetches shocks duals etc would push out the chances of anyone using scrylands as an alternative. So the question is why wouldn't they drop after rotation? I mean I could be missing something here I haven't been as active in magic the last 3 months as I normally am.

You really should just PM him. There is a good chance when fetches rotate these will go up unless better lands are printed in the next block.

Out of the blackness and stench of the engulfing swamp emerged a shimmering figure. Only the splattered armor and ichor-stained sword hinted at the unfathomable evil the knight had just laid waste.

Reading his tweets on the pauper format... I wonder if Kibler feels the same way about Legacy.
