Hello, so I've decided to put down some cash for more competitive decks. I've been looking at decklists, and I like MBC (~ $17, including SB) and Delver Fiend (~ $5, no SB).
Are these decks good enough to get me started towards tournament paper? I know there are some staples like Pyro/Hydroblast, etc. Since these are more expensive I decided to buy them later.
I'm also building Burn, right now the cards I'm missing are Chain Lightnings, Fireblasts, and Flame Rifts (ridiculously expensive at $25 for a play set).
So basically I'm missing the best cards from my burn deck to make it competitive, but I'd rather build at least two other decks which are more competitive.
Decks that I like and may buy in the future: WG Slivers URG Affinity URG Urzatron W White Weenie
I like these decks the best (all of the above, besides MBC/Delver Fiend).
PS.: I'm writing this post because I feel miserable after playing allies, and realized that it just won't work, no matter what.

My playgroup: four people total.
We use the Legacy B&R list.
My meta consists of combo, control and some aggro / midrange decks.
My group uses proxies, so budget is not an issue. Because of this, things can get out of hand.
There are a lot of competitive decks in Pauper, and most of them are cheap. I personally play RUG Tron, certainly not the cheapest. However I always have UR Fiend and WW built. Choosing between the two you listed, I would lean towards Delver Fiend, using the money you save on the maindeck to build a board with the blasts you mention skimping on for cash reasons.
I recommend this site to find good starting lists:

You might want to include Gray Merchant Of Asphodel in this list somewhere, as ive seen a lot of list's recently run him and he seems extremely strong.

Corrupts and Tendrils of Corruption would sit in the SB.
So do you still run corrupt main deck these days or mostly it's just better to rely on gray merchant?
