Without knowing what the meta will look like, it's a guess. I'd say keeping 2-4 in your SB for immediately after rotation would be smart; see what you run into right away and adjust accordingly.

Contraption is a new artifact type. There are currently no artifacts with this type. And there's no current game meaning of "assemble."

fair enough. My main concern if legality for paper. Paper: Uncommon; MTGO Masters Ed II - common.
unless an exception is made by your play group the only way a card is pauper legal for paper play is if it was printed as a common during that block...

guess I will have to evaluate what I have online as I translate that into paper....
If in the post-bannings meta Urzatron and Bouncelands are played, Thermokarst will be an option as disruption. Bouncelands are played in TrinketControl, some Teachings builds and AzoriusKitty. If Tron or these decks are played enough, Thermokarst may be an option. But a competent pilot of these decks can often play around LD, so it will not be THE solution.
Against all other top tier decks - Stompy, Delver, Affinity, DelverFiend, Goblins - it does plain nothing. It may disrupt HexproofAuras a little bit.
So for the first weeks of the new meta, I would not play it.
My original question is not whether or not I should include it in my 75, it was if I can play it in my paper pauper as it is in my online deck.
Also, "legal in paper Pauper" is a non-real concept. There is no format; either you're playing with online legalities (recommended) or you're doing a non-standard thing.

Oh, you think the losers' bracket is your ally, but you merely adopted the scrub tier. I was born in it, molded by it. I didn’t 4-0 an FNM until I was already a man; by then, it was nothing to me but an extra pack to sell for store credit!
I have never seen someone play pauper in paper. I've heard talk of it once. Don't really see why you wouldn't just use cards that are legal in online pauper in paper and not include cards like hymn to tourach and sinkhole that aren't allowed in online pauper due to rarity shifts as pauper is only relevant in modo outside of it it typically doesn't matter. I attended a paper pauper tournament once and it was for a revised dual land, but outside that I have never seen or heard of another tournament in paper for pauper at least in the Minnesota metro area.

This is not correct. Paper Pauper is something that people actually do play and they go by rarety printed in paper.
You asked your question in the Pauper subforum of "Magic Online General"...
Pauper is not an online only format, however finding those who play it in paper is harder. Pauper used to be its own section before MTGS decided to condense things a little bit. Why would you even troll a person for asking about the format he's posting in? It was a legit question, it was answered. Done.
Now that all aside, I think there is some relevance to the discussion on transferring to paper. Thermokarst is not legal in Paper Pauper (unless your play group decides to use other rules); however it probably won't be needed any ways. There is a small chance tron becomes a deck and then maybe you'll want it; however in most cases of the Karoo lands from Ravnica you're going to probably want to sideboard in something other than LD to attack those decks. There are better ways to shut down Hexproof than destroying an enchanted land for example.
Thank you for the replies and sorry for the confusion. I will browse the paper pauper section. Knowing what I know now regarding what cards on a certain rarities in paper vs online, the deck building process is even harder than I thought.
Ok. But there is a Paper Pauper Subforum. Nonetheless, my answer was too tightlipped and I see why you think I trolled there, but I just wanted to explain why I misunderstood the question.
Fair enough, I guess personally just get irritated when people try to separate the two because I'm such a fan of the format and don't think it should be restricted into online only, the format provides a great platform for Wizards to introduce the game to new players and it's so often just overlooked in many ways lol
I generally agree, but it's kind of useless and confusing to talk about the formats together as though they were the same.
The MTGO-based card-set is the albatross around our necks that guarantees Pauper will never be sanctionable and will always be confusing for new players. The latter thing, at least, we can try to mitigate.

What do you mean by this? Are you saying that the two formats could never officially co-exist because of their different card pools?
Today I was stomped online by a RG land destruction deck that uses Thermokarst: I was considering using it in a paper pauper tournament, but I guess I would have to ask the shop owner.

Is 4 of SB Thermokarst worth it now?
(Affinity runs Stone Rain)
edit also is Thermokarst legal in paper pauper?

Landkill is rather good against a lot of tier 1 pauper decks.
Tron and Delver in particular are quite ill prepared to handle it.
