ashiok's great against both RG and big boros/BWR control, I'm pretty sure we'll be seeing some more blue decks soon. There's one 4-0 UB list already, I doubt it'll be the only one.
I do agree that it's a bit of a shame the cheap aggro deck is so bad, but it's certainly a change from the last block format and the first half of ISD (sans virtue/souls).
I still don't get how Ashiok is good against those decks. You'd have to hit one of their big threats, but you cannot make any of them bigger. The issues I would see is people playing against Ashiok poorly (you would need to know when your deck wants to kill Ashiok and when it wants to ignore Ashiok which is something in my experience that MTGO players are really bad at in general with walkers)
I am still trying to decide if the deck is a RW list splash black, or a RB list splash white. I am leaning towards RB splash white, essentially for Elspeth and chained to the rocks. Since they have two sets of duals there is a lot of filtering present which really helps these control decks shine with minimal card draw spells. Check the modo daily results to keep an eye on the metagame.
My tuning has lead me to Brw basically. Elspeth is just so good. I don't think I'd want anything other than black as the base though as thoughtseize and hero's downfall are too important to be the splash.
I just posted 3 decks from a recent premier/daily to decks for critique and 2 to competitive.

Out of the blackness and stench of the engulfing swamp emerged a shimmering figure. Only the splattered armor and ichor-stained sword hinted at the unfathomable evil the knight had just laid waste.
I haven't played the deck myself, but I'm planning on doing so in about two weeks to write an article on it. From what I've seen it's fringe competitive, which means that it can do well but suffers from consistency problems. If it all comes together (ie. you get heroic dudes + the right heroic enablers) it can be pretty brutal, but it nees a fair bit to go right for that to happen. Also, no dual land no doubt hurts the mana.
I much prefer the RW heroic list, because it plays out more like a white weenie list rather than combo list. Both are fringe players that you can rely on to 3-1 a daily if you know the matchups well, and get a little lucky. The mana for both decks is pretty awkward though, so the deck tends to self destruct more than other block decks. Ideally you would be mono white weenie, but there just aren't enough playable white cards in the format yet to do so. I'll post my list when I get back from work.
