I am still puzzled how to discard land cards and whenever I cast it it only does 3 damage -_-
I am playing Ad deck in modern.
Draw your entire deck with Ad Nauseam, after having cast Angel's Grace. Lose all the life, but draw all 40 or so cards left in your deck. With about 15 lands in hand, you can deal about forty-five damage with Lightning Storm.

Cast Lightning Storm <--- this is where I am having a problem after casting this I am not given any change to discard any land cards for additional damage.
Hold ctrl when casting a spell in order to keep priority. Then you can discard any number of lands you'd like and/or cast spell and activate abilities.
I've argued with people over the number of cards in a deck many times, and I feel that having a high number of "good cards" is better than having a small number of "really good" cards. I laugh at the people who argue that with a smaller deck you're more likely to draw what you need, because if you get in that situation you're gonna NOT end up drawing it many many more times than you would.
Hold down the Ctrl key while you're casting Lightning Storm and you'll retain priority. Note that if you pass priority to your opponent, and they pass it back, you will not get another opportunity to discard for more damage; once both players pass priority, the spell resolves.
