Yea it could be trusted certificates. It could be a lot of things. It could be that those WRT54s are nearing the end of their functional lives. I've been seeing those get replaced a lot recently for fails. I had to retire mine about 4 years ago because it wasn't working well anymore.
But hell, according to our esteemed forum mod, it can't be hardware related (although my years of experience, certifications, and degrees scream at me intermittent hardware faults, incorrect set-ups) you should check those trusted certificates.
Also, that is your router, and not your modem. Your modem has it's own IP address that it isn't showing you when you trace. Your modem is the Hop 2 that isn't responding (even though your modem should always respond to an internal ping).
Also, you never did mention whether you have cable, dsl, or what going on. If you have a modem supplied from your ISP that also has a router (non-wifi) embedded in it, with your router plugged into that, you would be seeing these issues because the ports would not be open between NATs. Also, this would be a valid reason for the hop 2 to be non-responsive as your network isn't properly configured.
Most games and internet services don't have strict port forward requirements and home users can run all sorts of terrible configurations without ever having trouble.
It's going to more complicated than that for you if you've uninstalled 2 times. It's highly likely you have another piece of software causing the faults.
Hey guys just want to say that I uninstalled again and reinstalled the BETA version, I was originally playing the old one, and the BETA version works, but personally I like the old one more.
I have Windows XP and was able to download the new client and get to the log in screen but then when I try to log in it says "sorry, this login attempt failed." I can't launch the free play either. Any ideas?
