This chat is the worst. I get a pop up that someone is chatting with me. So I close out that pop out since i'm playing a game, but i think when I close the pop up window it closes that chat window as well?
And there's no chat history so I don't know who even messaged me.

"That puts the brand's annual revenue somewhere close to $250 million, though Hasbro hasn't released an official figure."
Two hundred and fifty million dollars per year. Apparently that is not enough money to make a MTGO client with even passable features after two years in beta, during which time Magic: the Gathering made roughly half a billion dollars.
I think this is the laziest/cheapest/greediest/most incompetent product I have ever seen put out by a major game company outside of Electronic Arts.
I've noticed that the program gets really laggy after a few hours of play.
What I hate even more though is that there's no sound or anyway of knowing that someone is chatting with you. I've had friends not realize for hours that I was trying to talk to them, and the same thing has happened to me. In V3 there would be a clear sound and the conversation would pop up when someone sent you a message. This has made it extremely difficult to get ahold of my testing partners.
This can work in reverse as a griefing mechanism as well. I've seen streamers get hit with numerous people just messaging them with "pop up" in an effort to force a time out loss. There is a visible prompt when someone starts a chat with you.
EDIT:
Forgot to mention, when I play against an opponent with courser of krupix (or I play my own) I still see their top card in the next match. THAT is ridiculous.
I have run in to this bug as well and filed it. Seems to happen when Courser is on the board at the end of the match, though the displayed card is the last card revealed in the previous match and does not change. Hoping we will see a fix for this on Wednesday.

While this is true, if you have a chat already started, then stop talking for awhile, there is no promt that you have been messaged again, which is my complaint.

If MTG is a part of your life, the formats are like relationships:
Standard/Block = The on-again, off-again holiday fling
Modern/Vintage/Legacy = Stable, homely. A ***** after absence/misreading
Limited/Sealed = Heart breaking free spirit
Commander/Cube = Agreeable, needy and expensive
Pauper/Peasant = Sweet, kind, practical, but shy and boring
I had problem just trying to get the client to install. I had to go through a lot of fixes on the system side to get the .NET framework to connect to their server.

I am looking for Date Stamped promos from Khans of Tarkir block so I can finish my set. Check my wants if you have any.
Currently offering 2 non-foil Kolighan's Command for a Date Stamped foil!
Library isn't really functioning with the new client too well. I'd stay away from any bots that use it. Go with bigger chains. I needed some stuff today and just bought credit.

Out of the blackness and stench of the engulfing swamp emerged a shimmering figure. Only the splattered armor and ichor-stained sword hinted at the unfathomable evil the knight had just laid waste.
wouldn't let me move all my tickets at once to my trade binder, had to move them manually
lol
I have reported this issue literally every time I played the beta, which was once when it first went "wide", and then during both of the "spotlights." Utterly absurd that it has yet to be fixed. I also just reported that the numbers displaying in your collection don't jive with what's in your trade binder. I had 3 event tickets on my account, and moved each to my trade binder. Then, played with them moving back and forth a bit. First off, the client is incredibly temperamental when you try to drag and drop items to and from the trade binder. It only plays nice using the right click context menu - except, of course, when you try to move the entire quantity at once. Secondly, after moving back and forth a bit, I went back to having all 3 tickets in the trade binder. The numbers in my collection for event tickets said "1 2", which I would assume means that i have 1 marked for trade and 2 listed not for trade (at least, that's what it seems like when I look at cards that I have some copies for trade and some not).
I reported this discrepancy between the numbers listed in the collection screen and the numbers shown as being for trade in the binder... and they replied telling me "When you place an item in the trade binder, we will still want to mark the item as tradeable. you screen shot shows that you only have the 1 event ticket tradeable." despite the screenshot clearly showing that all 3 event tickets were in the trade binder. I replied back: "In that screenshot, I had all 3 in my trade binder, ie. "tradeable." That is the issue." Then I got the standard cut and paste reply of "Thank you for reporting this bug...". It's incompetence.
There are so many issues like this that have been around forever and just never been mentioned or touched by WotC. For an example of an inconsequential but baffling bug that could be fixed simply by changing a variable in the code... when your opponent concedes the final game of the match, it says "Opponent wins the game. You win the match!" This has been around for as long as I can remember. I've reported it every time. Assuming that the program is coded in even a slightly reasonable manner, this seems like someone just accidentally typed the wrong player name variable in the first sentence. It should take someone literally five seconds to correct. They have let simple issues like the player name, moving items between binders in mass, and the stupidly large trigger windows persist throughout the entirety of the open beta process. I have absolutely no faith that they will address significant issues like memory leaks.

Well after wrestling with V4 for 4-5 hours this weekend I have ran into these issues:
1. Can't trade with most bots. Trade window will open but trade will be cancelled about 5 seconds after. I have about 25 tix worth of cards I was trying to liquidate and wasn't able to.
2. Treasure Mage's fetch fails to put the cards into your hand about 25% of the time.
3. Sages of Anima breaks the client completely if you are drawing more than one card in any instance.
4. Cards in my trade binder do not always show up when I trade. I had to close the client and reboot twice for trades.
5. Card quanities are incorrect when adding them to the trade binder. I would add a card and it wouldn't deduct it from my total until I closed the client and reopened it.
6. Thropter Assembly doesn't trigger (this was a problem in V3 as well)
7. Ancestial Vision would not cast correctly when I hit it off of Cascade. It went into my grave yard without effect.
8. foil animation freezes during games followed shortly after by a complete client crash. Old artifacts do not even appear to have animation ever.
9. Client closes down frequently without warning
The actual gameplay is a lot better now, the huge trigger windows are annoying and not being about to pop out your graveyard is a terrible design flaw.
Collection tab is a disaster and completely worse than V3. Editing a deck and not being able to have the entire deck show up in one window needs fixed.
I feel like they focused way too much on look instead of functionality. Scroll bars everywhere!
we need to get a better payment for beta testing this game for the next year, one free M15 event isn't going to cut it
In a sense, aren't we perpetually beta testing the game? Beta vs. Release doesn't have the same meaning for a program that's constantly changing (new cards, new formats, etc.) and can be patched so frequently. They should probably just drop the Beta name altogether and just separate it into Software Released to the Public vs. other.
Beta meant a lot more back when programs were stamped onto CD-ROMs and couldn't be updated over the internet.
Easy solution: Report the bugs that get you a refund (their form of paying you for finding it) and for each other bug that doesn't qualify for a refund, skip an event you were going to play in. That way they learn about the bugs they have to pay you for, and suffer the consequences (financially) of the ones they want you to report for free.
Is the fact that all accounts get one for free mentioned anywhere in the client or on the website that isn't hidden inside an article? Maybe they are hoping for people to not notice, lol, saves them some money (technically).
I'm pretty sure if you checked their website every day and know where their blog is, youd be up to date on all the announcements. with the website redesign I don't know if the blog is still buried
the information is there you just need to look for it
the way they present information is awful, but it's still there
as for the new account cut off date I'm on my phone and I'm too lazy to look, but I'd use reddit in my Google search phrase to find the answer. I bet this forum has the date too, but it's almost as awful as WotC's site
It's so hard to sell anything for a "fair" price. Humans are using the classifieds even less now, or perhaps there's less people. And the bots have low ball offers, or if it's an mtgo library bot, it is out of tickets or it can't even trade.
It's such a joke. Glad i sold a bunch of cards pre transition.
I think this is part of the reason why modern/legacy/vintage cards haven't dropped. There's no point in selling them for so low, and plus there's new interest in the formats with VMA making things more affordable, and people are testing for the modern ptq season and the next modern GP.
Well another big problem is a lot of bots just plain aren't working even still. So the market is a bit cornered. Of course, its a nightmare to actually figure out what you have made tradeable in the first place.
Basically, you need to have signed in to V3 with the same account to get the freebies. You can't create a new account now and get it.
Can you point me to a link which states this?
The articles I read infer that any account logged in since a certain date get the free event. Nowhere does it say that you MUST have played the V3 client.

You're right, I was being imprecise. You must have logged in between April 2008 and July 16, 2014. Here is the official announcement:
It's also worth noting that if you want to join an M15 Prerelease Sealed with Phantom points, that will require a special queue. If anyone's worried about competitive balance in other queues when paying full price, it won't be an issue. Free-rollers only play against other free-rollers. You won't have a bunch of people with no investment in the tournament potentially goofing around.
Yea I don't even feel the need or desire to report bugs to them now. They should be paying us for this at this point.
Then don't feel the need or desire to see those bugs fixed either. If you won't tell people your problems, no one can help you solve them. As in your relationships, so it goes in MTGO.

2nd place gives
12 phantom points
1 modern master's booster
to enter the draft
16 phantom points
or
10 tix
i've seen humans selling MMA boosters for 5 tix as well...
