I wasn't sure delirium could be a consistent archetype because of how many good delirium cards are uncommons or rare. But because some of the uncommons are really sub par (obsessive skinner) or just filler (Paranoid parish-blade) in non deliruim decks. It's not as hard as I thought to draft them. I don't think it can be forced. (Tough, in my opinion, trying to force anything in draft is a bad idea)but if you can pickup an uncommon or two early. You should be good to go. Since the picks you prioritize happen while everyone is grabbing their fiery temper and other generally good cards. Note that my first pick was silverstrike.(The rare was irrelevant.) So it wasn't planned from the start. As soon as I looked at the spoilers, I could tell people would not give inquisitor's ox the credit he deserves. So until players start respecting his power. I'll keep abusing it.
I originally had dire swine in the deck. But after game 1 removed it for spectral shepherd, that I was dying to put in the deck anyway. I realized quilled wolf and veteran cathar filled the same role as the swine for 1/3 the cost. I also removed briarbridge patrol (not that I consider it bad) and intrepid provisioner. The patrol because, though it is good. He doiesn't synergize with the deck. So I bit the bullet and replaced him by wicker witch, and the provisioner because I realized it was lacking human targets, and thus wasn't worth having a 4 mana card. It got replaced by aim high, because I realized I needed to control the early game as much as I could. Aim high caught a lot of key early game creatures that I would have had a hard time getting rid of otherwise.(Your opponent doesn't mind attacking with an indulgent aristocrat when all you have is two lands and a tapped veteran cathar
Traft pants certainly pulls its weight when you keep throwing expose evil at your opponent. Slapped on a delirious paranoid parish-blade. Even if they keep more than 2 blockers up (Which was rare since the deck excels during the early game) they can't really play around it.
spectral shepherd + toplegeist was a nice synergy. Though it's an uncommon combo. I'm glad delirium is not a dud mechanic for limited. It's certainly draftable, which makes the format more diverse.
Next I'll try to draft reccuring black (If that archetype actually exists, I'm not sure yet but I'll let you know) I think the best splash is likely green or blue. Though white for angelic purge is worth considering.
As always, if you notice something in the SB that should have been a no-brainer to maindeck, let me know. Always room for improvement.
I went undefeated with my first draft of SoI. (http://www.mtgsalvation.com/forums/the-game/limited-sealed-draft/sealed-pool-draftcap-discussion/686548-soi-draft-need-your-opinion) It could have been a fluke however. So I wasn't sure if I really understood the format as I thought I did. Now though, I'm pretty sure I have a good grasp on it.
