So today was my first prerelease event and my first time making a deck on the fly. I played against 3 Green/Red, 1 Grixis and 1 Rakdos. When looking around, a lot of people went Green/Red in general. All 3 Red/Green decks I played against had Arlinn Kord so I guess a lot of people were pulling her.
I went Red/Green aggro and placed 9th out of 64. Not bad, got six packs out of it. Here's my decklist:
Had a lot of fun synergy and the pump spells/abilities had me still keeping up if the game went longer. Was a lot of fun to play, despite it being colors I don't usually play with. I'm keeping it constructed for kitchen table play with the bf! What did you guys play, and how did you fare?
Made the resulting GW deck with a blue splash in an effort to include a playable 15th creature (Reckless Scholar), since i felt that I had enough fixing to go with it.
Ended up going 1-2-1, which is by far my worst record at a prerelease. I'm 90% sure that I chose the wrong colors (I chose white because of plentiful removal and creatures and green because its creatures complimented white's and I thought 2x Seasons Past would be good), but is is because I just got a bad pool, or because of bad luck? Can anyone tell me what they would have built with the pool?
For the record, someone who took a look at my pool said that a BR deck would be a better choice. Unfortunately, there wasn't enough time for me to switch decks, so I ended up with the above poor record. Comments?

Your white looks too good not to play. What's wrong with BW?
That's an interesting build. I really don't like half of the creatures though (Stern Constable, Sanitarium skeleton, Vampire Noble, Militant Inquisitor and Stomkirk Mentor). I do agree that BW as a color combination looks interesting, although the lack of a late-game creature raised a red flag. Would Mindrack Demon be an ok choice for that build?

I agree with this. Too many of those creatures I would prefer not to include in any deck I will be building, if I could avoid it.

What else would you build with? Pool doesn't look stellar. I admit I didn't look at it all that hard, though he pretty much has to play white. BR vampires has synergy but involves running as many or more duds.
I played a BR vamps deck with great removal and card advantage, 6-0 for 1st and a box.

So yeah, this deck looks crazy fast.
You could try BR Vampires, and you would certainly have more tribal synergy, but the deck looks less aggressive and has less removal:
1 Indulgent Aristocrat
1 Village Messenger
1 Heir of Falkenrath
2 Olivia's Bloodsworn
1 Sanguinary Mage
1 Kessig Forgemaster
1 Ghoulcaller's Apprentice
2 Vampire Noble
2 Howlpack Wolf
1 Voldaren Duelist
1 Stromkirk Mentor
1 Hulking Devil
1 Dead Weight
1 Sinister Concoction
1 Grotesque Mutation
1 Magmatic Chasm
1 Geistblast
1 Stensia Masquerade
1 Malevolent Whispers
1 Reduce to Ashes
9 Swamp
8 Mountain
9 Vampires.
