I did my first GPT today, went 3-2 and I'm fairly happy with that. Did stupid mistakes while playing, so that's that. But what deck would you build off of this pool?
In retrospect, I think Harsh Sustenance might have been too cute, with a fairly low amount of creatures. I sided in Throttle and Return to the Earth against some flyers and stuff. I tried to keep the black low, due to bad fixing, but got manascrewed in two games anyways. Maybe 1 less Plains and 1 more Green?
I love your white, and it's definitely a core colour. That said, Flying Crane Technique is a better card than anything that you actually have in your deck. I'd try for a Jeskai deck to start with, then maybe see what the splash options are. And, the black cards are too good to leave out. Last cuts: Jeskai Sage, War Flare
This is a base UW deck that is effectively splashing both red and black for bombs and removal.

It has more flyers than your azban build, a better 'instant win' card in Flying Crane Technique, plus more reach with double Treasure Cruise if the game goes late.

Thank you very much for the input. I have believed that FCT was somewhat clunky, but my friend and you have convinced me otherwise
The first thing to jump out at me is that you could have had a decent bolster sub-theme going on...Map the Wastes is a very good card if you're anywhere near green. Even Abzan Advantage without an enchantment on their board is good for the bolster at instant speed.

Is bolster a thing though? I would have thought that it suffered from diminishing returns (bolstering onto an already bolstered creature is just really vulnerable to bounce). Both of those cards seem really average to me, since I don't want to spend my 3rd turn ramping/fixing, I want to play a morph at that point. And Azban Advantage looks like a sideboard card for me.

I haven't found bounce to be very prevalent, but that's a personal opinion. I've also had very favorable experiences with the bolster mechanic--especially when you have the cards that give bonuses to creatures with +1/+1 counters (he has two: Tuskguard Captain and Longshot Squad). It suddenly becomes far easier to take advantage of his "ferocious" spells and he gets to pump his early fliers/ramp into Ugin. He has the right idea...G/W/b Besides, what creatures does he have that are really worth morphing?
Smoke Teller is just bad. I actually like Harsh Sustenance, but not in this build. I guess Pressure Point has its moments of usefulness, but the removal suite is good enough that I'd rather ramp up to the bigger stuff and pump my guys than tap one of his.
I think one power creatures like Gurmag Swiftwing are really weak, and I definitely wouldn't run it over a 2/2. Ditto with 3 mana rampant growths. If the Azban build is largely correct, the only change I would make would be to add the blue fixin lands and run Abomination of Gudul over Pressure Point. But as I said above, I think the Jeskai based build is even better.
